((OOC: Open to all members of the Institute, as well as former members, as long as they are not currently affiliated with the Brotherhood.))
::The Fourth of July was upon them. Just as with last year, there was a looming threat, although not as dire, and again, they were in the process of long recovery from tragedy. It was unfortunate how these situations, these conditions, repeated themselves, but the Professor would do everything within his power to provide a sense of normality for the students. As such, it was once again time for a barbecue.
He had awoken early that day, after having sent out for a particularly heavy grocery order the day before. The grill had been set out, and the Professor wore his "Hug me, I'm a mutant" apron, which he reserved for outdoor cooking events.
Several picnic tables were covered with paper tablecloths, and covered with a variety of foods: the vegetables and dip, the potato chips and pretzels, potato salad, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, and rolls for the main dishes. Lemonades, waters, and sodas were in the cooler. And the grill was fired up, cooking the veggie burders and the vegetable skewers before he would begin the chicken, hot dogs, and hamburgers. The weather was lovely, fit for a barbecue.::

Paige had been up since 8, looking for an outfit fit for today. She had picked out a pair of shorts, that were denim style, a white tank top, and a red belt to go around her shorts. Flip flops on, Paige told her sister she'd be outside, seeing if she could help the Professor and the others in anyway. Making her way outside, she had sunglasses on at the moment, since the sun was bright today. Smiling when she saw the Professor, it took her a moment to realize what his apron said and she couldn't help but giggle. "Hello, Professor." She greeted with a smile.

::The Professor smiled at Paige when she appeared. Using the spatula, he turned the veggie burgers onto their other sides.:: "Hello Paige. Happy Independence Day."

"Happy Fourth of July, Professor." She said with a smile on her face, she had called her family earlier, and was glad to hear they were doing well. "Do you need any help? Oh and by the way, I love the apron." She told him as she grabbed a carrot stick and ate it.

"Thank you," ::The Professor smiled at the compliment. Henry had given him this apron, and he was equally fond of it.:: "And if you would be so kind as to pass me one of the silver platters, please?"

"Of course." Paige said before turning around to look for what he was asking for. Seeing one of the silver platters he had put out, she walked over to it and then walked back to hand it to him. "Did you do this all by yourself?" She asked, still holding it as she assumed he wanted to put the burgers on it, and it'd be easier this way.

"Thank you." ::With the platter held out before him, the Professor could more easily set the burgers out. One by one, the veggie burgers and vegetable skewers were arranged on the platter.:: "And I tended to everything but moving the tables; Doctor McCoy did that for me last night."

"Wow, next time feel free to come ask for me, I'd be glad to help." Paige said with a smile. Once all the food was on the platter, she looked around, "Where should I put these?"

"I did not wish to rouse anyone so early," ::The Professor explained. And it had not taken quite as long as one might think.:: "And if you could please put those beside the buns?"

"I wouldn't have minded." Paige told him, being honest. "Of course." She said with a smile before walking over and placing them where he had told her to. "Anything else I can do?" She asked.

"Hello everyone." Typhoid had decided to at least make a showing at the barbecue, and it appeared she was here a bit early- only Husk and the Professor were around. She wore her standard, black and green- black jeans and a dark green halter top to be precise, the top complimented the colors in the tattooed mural on her back. The jeans sported a bio-hazard symbol on one leg. It was a symbol she was steadily growing fond of.

Paige looked over her shoulder when she heard someone greet them. Smiling when she realized it was Typhoid she then said, "Hey Ty." and gave a small wave.

"Hey Paige," Ty replied, returning the greeting. It felt odd not to refer to someone by their mutant name but at the same time, Paige had introduced herself by her human name so now it was stuck in Ty's head as that. "Looks like it's just us for a little while." ((Stellar new set ))

((Thanks, Seer made it for me. ) "Yeah, I wonder what is taking everyone else so long, especially my sister." She said thoughtfully.

Ty blinked. "I didn't know your sister came here too."
