::Xavier was setting the hotdogs and beef patties on the grill when Typhoid arrived. He greeted her with a soft smile, and began to prepare the meat. Paige's comment reminded him of the first such barbecue, when Erik had expressed similar curiosity about teenage sleeping habits.:: "It is essentially a weekend; the students sleep in."

Ty shrugged at the Prof's comment. "Up to them. I'll head back up in a little while, unless Pietro comes down."

"Oh yeah, she got here like a week ago." She told Ty with a smile. Paige then looked over at the Professor and nodded, "Yeah...I don't really like to sleep in, I like to get up early." Paige said before sighing, "I know Mel is up, she's probably just getting ready very slowly."

"I'll have to introduce myself," Ty replied- she liked the idea of more students having family around. Most people at the Mansion didn't, herself included.

"She can take her time; it gives me more time to cook," ::The Professor said to Paige, still smiling. Large meals always put him in a good mood, although he tended to be regardless. Typhoid's mention of his nephew caused him to turn to her, all the while keeping an eye on the flames.:: "You may need to seek him out. He did not stay very long at last year's."

"No, he didn't, but I think that was sort of my fault," she said.

"That'd be nice." She said to Ty with a smile. "I know, but she could come down here to help." She told the Professor.

"Hardly," ::The Professor told Typhoid. Whatever she viewed as her fault could not bear on his nephew's decisions. Pietro had never been outgoing in a particularly positive way, yet he was who he was. To Paige, he simply shook his head gently.:: "She could, but if she takes her time, there is no harm in that."

Ty shrugged in response to the Professor. "I might go up and get him if he doesn't come down. Need any help?" She gestured to the grill and the other meal dishes set out.

"If one of you would care to slice the watermelon and someone else would like to arrange the cookies?" ::The Professor suggested. It would free him to concentrate fully on the grill, and they were the most delectable of jobs to tend to.::

"Which one would you rather do?" She asked Typhoid.

Ty grinned. "I'll do the slicing."

"Okay." She said with a small smile before walking over to where the cookies were. "How do you want them arranged, Professor?" She asked him.

"Any way that you would like," ::The Professor replied. He had a variety of cookies, and two large platters. As long as they were out of the package, he would be content.::

As soon as Abigail had woken up, Mystique began to prepare her for the party. After a bath, diaper change, and feeding, she dressed Abby up in an outfit she had bought specifically for the occasion. She was dressed in a white shirt and blue denim jumper that had red stars on it. And she put a floppy hat on her head, one with stars and stripes. When Abigail was ready, Mystique came down and onto the grounds. Charles was there, of course, cooking. And Paige and Ty had joined him. Good, she wasn't late for anything.
"Hello, everyone," Mystique said, holding Abigail securely in one arm. Abigail, however, noticed her father immediately.
"Dada!" Abby cried, reaching for him.
