His words came a bit muffled through her ears that had gotten their share of lashing by wind and still stung a little. Out of curiosity, Emily tried to guess where exactly the ground was; at her best guess, it was 'somewhere there'. She kept holding Pietro until the awkwardness of her position outweighed her concerns whether she'd be able to stand at all, and she slackened her grip on his neck slightly.

::Pietro felt her loosen her grip around his neck, but he did not put her down. Not quite yet. He did not want her to collapse from disorientation.:: "Can you see straight?"

Emily opened her eyes, looking around. To her pleasant surprise, her head spun less now that she had some visual to fix her mind on. "More or less," she told Pietro.

"I will set you down. Grab me if you lose balance," ::Pietro cautioned her. Painfully slowly, but for her safety and comfort, he bent, moving his hands in the process. He left her upright, but kept a hand on her shoulder to keep her balanced for the first few seconds.::

Ah, so that's where that ground was, Emily told herself. She felt a bit stupid at not having managed that trip as well as she would have liked. The girl took a small step aside, testing her balance but still holding to Pietro's shoulders.

::Pietro remained as still as he could, to provide a sturdiness for her to hold until she recovered her balance.:: "Emily, are you all right?"

She smiled and nodded, "Yeah, just... need to wait until things stop swaying." She considered her state for a second. "Like this, maybe," she said as she let go of him.

::Pietro remained by her side. His reflexes were quick enough that, if she were to lose her balance, he could catch her easily.:: "Better?"

"Yes," Emily gave a confused smile, still feeling like an idiot. "Does that happen often to your... passengers?" she asked.

::Pietro nodded once; it was natural to be put off by speed you did not possess.:: "To those not used to it, yes."

"Oh good," Emily said and added, "I mean, that I'm at least not the only one."

"No, you're not," ::Pietro reassured her. He took a few steps to the gate to open it for them both.::

Not without satisfaction did Emily find that she was indeed able to stand firmly and walk straight; the dizziness passed quickly as soon as she was back on solid ground. She followed Pietro through the gate. "I guess I should just train my vestibular system, and all will be fine," she said.

::Pietro untied he twine from his arm, let the package fall and he caugt it. Opening the box, he removed her pastry bag and handed it to her.:: "What training do you think would work?"

Emily took her pastry bag. "Apart from all kinds of science-fiction-movie images with astronauts training at special facilities and everything..." she shrugged. "I guess, the most traditional way of doing it would be simple gymnastics, whatever teaches you to hold your balance."
