A hotel as a place to hide

[Gambit]

This time Gambit remained awake until she fell asleep, to make sure she wasn't worried and sleepless any longer. After that he allowed sleep to overtake him once again.

He woke up rather early, as usual; Shade was still sleeping soundly, curled up with her back towards him. He kissed her shoulder gently, not wishing to wake her, then got out from under the blanket, realizing he was still wearing his jeans that he had put on last night before going to Shade on the balcony. Chuckling silently at himself, he got out his cigarettes and went to the balcony to smoke.

[Shade]

Shade had slept throughout the night without waking up even once. When she finally did, Gambit had been up for about two hours already and she found him sitting in an armchair across the room with his laptop. As she was usually somewhat drowsy when she had just woken up and this morning was no exception, she just stretched sleepily under the blanket and turned her head a little to watch him. He was still wearing his jeans but no shirt and she wondered whether he had not even taken them off during the night. She thought to remember that he hadn´t."Morning handsome." she said.

[Gambit]

"Bon matin," Gambit grinned, putting his laptop aside and walking over to her. He crawled on the bed over Shade. "Slept well?" he asked, though he knew he would have felt if she hadn't.

[Shade]

"Very well." Shade said with a broad smile. She had not had any nightmares; she had slept so deep she wasn´t even sure whether she had dreamt at all. At least she couldn´t remember. Her eyes travelled down Gambit´s body. "You slept in your jeans?" she asked, slightly amused.

[Gambit]

"Yeah," Gambit smiled. "Jus' dropped dead right next to ya."

[Shade]

"Aww." Shade made reaching for his chin, before she gave him a peck on the nose. "So what you been up to? Playing minesweeper or online strip poker?"

[Gambit]

"Minesweeper? Moi?" Gambit pretended to be shocked for a brief second.

[Shade]

Shade chuckled at his expression. "Yes, you." she said and just for the fun of it tried to underline her words with a layer vanishing exclamation mark on her forehead which, as she was not able to concentrate that much yet and could not see her forehead turned out to be upside down and looked like an "i".

[Gambit]

Gambit studied the sign on her forehead. "Dat an 'i' or an exclamation mark?" he asked, pointing at it with his finger.

[Shade]

Shade rolled her eyes upwards in an attempt to see what her forehead looked like "Supposed to be an exclamation mark." she said. "damn fine tunings ruined the effect."

[Gambit]

"Oh," Gambit said. He looked at it for another moment, quirking a brow, then leaned down to kiss Shade.

[Shade]

Shade reached up for him, putting a hand around Gambit´s neck, kissing him back. One more thing she had missed while he had been away; being kissed awake when still being sleepy.

[Gambit]

He pressed his lips firmly against hers, feeling how warm and sleepy she still was.

[Shade]

Shade´s other arm reached around his neck and, as she was still under the blanket and could not discard it right now with Gambit on top of her, she sneaked her legs from under it and hooked them both around his torso, completing what her arms were doing in a full body embrace. She felt too lazy to wrap the blanket from inbetween them and did not bother for the moment as her cozyness and playfull need for physical closeness was still stronger than thoughs about more. She well knew this could change quickly.

[Gambit]

Drawn entirely towards her, Gambit carefully propped himself up on his elbows and took her head in his hands. His lips traced a line of kisses to her jawline.
