Violet was totally out of it by now. "Helicopter..." she mumbled, her eyes getting heavy.

Alex could make no connection between that word and the current situation; his mind was torn between panicked ideas what to do. Every now and then a thought of maybe getting her to the ER popped up. He leaned over to take a closer look at her face, and touched her forehead to check for fever. From what he could tell, Violet was mostly okay. Just suddenly sleepy.
Feeling a bit lost, he looked up and down the street as if this would help him find an answer. When none came, he sighed, closed the door again and returned to his place in the car. He closed the passenger door as well, but partly opened the window to keep the fresh air coming.

Violet rolled her head so that she was facing him. With a pathetic frown, she said, "Please can we go home?"

"Of course!" Alex said, glad she could still communicate. "Do you want me to drive or do you want me to find a cab?"

"Let's go home," she mumbled, her eyes sliding shut again. The dizziness and nausea were starting to abate already, but the fatigue had overwhelmed her.

Alex decided not to bother her with his attempts to get a more defined answer; he got out again and walked around the car, then opened the door. "The passenger seat is yours, milady," he told her with a softer, not panicked anymore expression on his face.

Violet nodded without opening her eyes. She was no longer even aware that she was in her truck. "Helicopter..." she said again, then fell asleep.

Whatever it was Violet meant by 'helicopter,' Alex couldn't guess, unless she was referring to that thing from the ruined world where they'd been some time ago, but he still wouldn't know why she was speaking about it now.
He needed to transfer her somehow to the passenger seat, though; there was very little possibility to do it from where he was right now, so he picked her carefully from out of her seat and carried her around the car to the passenger side. Luckily he'd left the door open for her, thinking she'd be getting over there anyway, so he just swung it wider with his knee and somehow managed to place Violet onto the passenger seat. As he did so, he inadvertently rubbed his face against Violet's skin near her collarbone. This little touch both confused and excited him, and he was only too glad she was asleep. It didn't help that he had to lean over her half-dressed body to buckle her up.
In under an hour they were back at the mansion. Carefully he drove the car into the garage and parked it there even more carefully. Then he looked at Violet. "Violet," he said, not too loudly. "We're home."

Violet opened her eyes, looking groggy and confused. "Thank god," she mumbled, unbuckling her seat belt. She opened the passenger side door, every movement a struggle. She swung her legs over and promptly fell out of the truck.

Alex made a face, all too late realizing he should have interfered and should have helped her out of the car. He quickly got out and ran over to at least help Violet up on her feet.
"Are you okay?" he asked, taking her hand to help her stand up.

"I'm so sleepy," she said, standing up and leaning heavily on him. "I don't think I've ever been this tired before." She looked up with him, having trouble focusing on him. She swayed slightly and giggled. "You're so handsome," she slurred.

"Why thank you," Alex grinned and retaliated at once, supporting her around the waist, "and you have beautiful eyes. But I bet everyone tells you that."

Violet frowned. "Caleb told me that," she said, then sighed a loud, dramatic sigh. "I just want to go to bed," she said, her voice barely audible. Her knees buckled suddenly and she said, "Oops," as Alex had to support her full weight.

"That you will," Alex assurred her. He didn't want her to be dragged around the place half-draped over him as if she were drunk; he decided to spare her dignity and picked her up. This would be better. "Well, and you'll have to direct me to your room, I'm not sure I remember it's exact location."

Violet nuzzled against Alex's chest and answered with a completely unhelpful, "Okay." She was barely conscious and hadn't really heard what he'd said anyway.
