::Pietro shrugged slightly; that was what he got for trying to comfort someone.:: "Nobody can."

"Ah'd take the memories out if Ah could," she remarked, the comment softer then she'd intended. She saw a lot she never wanted to see in the memories she'd hung onto- in Magneto's, of course, and in Mystique's and Typhoid's and John's, even Logan's, though those memories started a lot later then the others did. She could never seen past someone's amnesia. Typhoid's memories in particular were hard to access, jumbled, sometimes in different voices or from a perspective that was off. She'd never asked exactly why that was. What she knew, most of the time, was that she didn't want what she remembered. She rarely admitted that to anyone, aside from Logan.

"Have you talked to the Professor?" ::Pietro was loathe to call Uncle that in front of people who were not kin to him. So he forced himself to use Uncle's title. He also thought that it was a reasonable question; the older man certainly had that power.::

"No." She didn't elaborate on her reasons why. Truthfully, she'd never thought about why not. She just knew it felt wrong.

::Pietro did not care to argue with her, but the suggestion was out there.::

"If you wanna go, go ahead." She waved one hand in a direction away from her. "I'll be fine." Her voice was stony; she'd broken down, admitted things she never did, and been generally nuts in front of the last person on the planet who needed to see her that way. Crying again in front of said person wasn't going to make her feel better.

::Pietro could not honestly say that he would rather stay, because he would not. However, he thought that it was proper to stay, because she might break down again, and he could chase after her, if nothing else. He took desire and morality out of it, by stating affirmatively,:: "I am staying."

"Fine." She made up her mind to ignore him for a while, except when she shut her eyes, that meant seeing more eyes, and hearing voices that weren't there, layered on memories that weren't hers. One gloved hand pushed her riot of hair back from her head, brushed the stitched up cut on her forehead without feeling the pain. There are speakers in the trees, microphones. They can hear you. Maybe there were. Maybe everyone could listen and hear everything she said. Maybe they'd find her. "Can't let them find me, have to be quiet and still as a mouse..." She didn't even know she said anything aloud.

::Pietro glanced over at her when she spoke aloud, although she did not seem aware of it. He sighed softly to himself, because this would be long and tiring. Yet, for the moment, he would humor her, and remain silent, rather than set off a worse bout of paranoia.::

"Have to be quiet..." She pulled her knees to her chest and huddled, shutting her eyes and then opening them as if she couldn't make up her mind which to do.

::This was...sad. Pietro watched her from his position against the tree, watched her wrap her arms around her knees and huddle with her eyes shut tight, to ward off spirits that did not exist. He had had difficulty with his power at her age- and still now although those were his problems and his alone - but nothing this severe. People might think he was irrational, but he never displayed such symptoms. Then he frowned. Django's God, he was sympathizing with the *Rogue-girl.*::

Rogue stayed huddled where she was. "He was a bastard," she said, sounding lucid, but not being very specific about who she was referring to.

::This might be the first topic on which they had agreed wholeheartedly since Wideawake. Although she had not specified who she meant, Pietro could easily venture a guess.:: "Yes. An unrepentant one."

"Ah have his memories," she said, still lucid. "But ah couldn't tell you why, even then."

"Borderline sociopathy," ::Pietro said with a shrug of his shoulders. It was the most concern he would give the man.::
