"Are you ill?" ::That was what first came to mind when she agreed that there was a physical connection. Karl looked her up and down, to see any obvious signs, though his realm had been the mind rather than the body.::

She almost laughed when he asked if she was ill. When Kat was younger and got the feeling she thought she was sick till later on when her brother and her figured out the connection. "No, it's nothing like that," She tried to think of a way to explain it, since she never had before. "Have you ever gotten that feeling in the pit of your stomach telling you somethings wrong?"

::Karl did not believe in premonition, although he trusted hunches, and he certainly knew how strong an emotion apprehension could be.:: "Yes, I have. Is that what you have right now?"

"Yes, it happens when my brother's in trouble and I can usually find him, but this time I can't," She finished her cup of coffee and set the mug on the counter. "It's makes me a little nervous to say the least, not to mention worried"

::That was a curious hunch to possess, which caused Karl to query,:: "Your brother, is he your twin?"

Still tired from her trip and the stress of her brother, Kat motioned the waitress over to pour her another cup of coffee needing the fuel for the search she'd most likely be doing later. She nodded her head in a yes motion to his question following up with, "Though most times I feel like his keeper,"

::That was a common lament Karl had heard when he had still been in practice. One between siblings, or sometimes between married or dating couples. He asked,:: "Were you born first, or are you simply more mature?"

Kat was not usually this talkative to strangers, but she figured it had mostly to do with her nerves and needing to try to calm down. "Both actually, my brother's always been the trouble maker," The waitress finally came over and poured her another cup of coffee and she thanked the woman before returning to the conversation. "I don't mean to dump this all on you, I'm usually not this open when talking to people," Normally she was on guard only giving a little information at a time. Something she'd learned in the military.

"Don't worry about it," ::Karl told her. He'd spent his adult life cultivating the skills necessary to get people to tell them their most intimate thoughts and feelings.:: "People tend to open up to me."

"You a psychologist?" She asked before taking a sip of the new cup of coffee. Usually when people were good at getting people to open up they were in a field that required it.

::Karl, like most psychiatrists, had a fair amount of pride in his medical degree and disliked being called a simple psychologist. However, he had learned to curb that when he wished to blend in, to what degree he could, and thus replied,:: "You could say that."

That made her feel a little better about talking to him. "How much do I owe ya for the session?" She asked stirring her cup a little but not drinking it.

Giving a light smile Kat replied "Thank you, mister?" She picked up her coffee cup and took a sip before putting it back down. Kat turned her neck to look at the man with the crimson eyes.

::At the half-question, Karl chose to introduce himself, because she was fishing for an identity. He'd give his first name, as that was the habit he'd built for himself; it kept him half-anonymous. There were many people in this area with his first name.:: "Karl."
