When Astral heard John's words, she looked towards him uncertainly. "Are you sure that's a good idea? You might make them angry, then who knows what'll kick off."

Looking over at Astral, he then glanced towards the religious group, which was small, but that wouldn't be holding them back. "I think they're already angry." He replied, an eyebrow raised. "Besides, if we scare them off with a little fancy power work, what harm is there? Its not like we're going to hurt them. Just shake them up a bit, so they f*ck off."

"I suppose it would be more pleasant if they weren't around," she mused as she looked over to the baying crowd, whom she recalled giving her furtive looks when she brightened her glow (of which still remained to be double the strength now, and would probably make someone squint if they were stood close to her.)

Avalanche thought of the effect of his on the larger parts of the crowd. Perfect, he decided, imagining the outcome. He gave no thought to how it could affect his so-called mutant rights that were the supposed subject of the whole gathering - he didn't give a sh*t about political nuances. "All right," he grinned. "I'll make sure they get some rock-n-roll."

Eclipse's eyes narrowed as he saw John speak to Astral before they all began looking around their surroundings, mainly at the religious group. He just hoped she was telling him to stop what he was planning.

Lucy eyed the new person, though she believed she had seen him before back at the hotel. When John gave orders she frowned when he didn't give her any, even if she wasn't a mutant she wanted to help out somehow. "What do I do, John?"

::Odin excused himself from the larger group for a few minutes, and pulled out his cellular phone. He entered Morph's number, as it hadn't been a secret the other man planned on attending. He could sense him, if he concentrated, but there were far too many people here to get through. And for both professional and personal reasons, Odin thought he might appreciated a warning.::

Kevin heard his cellphone ringing and took it out from his pocket. It displayed Odin's number. "Yeah?" he asked, looking around at the same time.

Elias nodded in agreement at Morph´s words, meaning to reply that he had only read about the rallies if the ones the other man referred to had been the ones back in early winter or a little earlier. When Morph´s phone rang however, he cut his reply short and had another look around first, scanning the people around them for familiar faces that might make it easier to get things started. It would probably be best to just mingle with the crowd and dig out some innocently charming question to get some impressions from the crowd.

"You?" John asked, looking over at Lucy. "Don't get f*cking killed-" Turning back to the rest of the people, a smirk spread across his face. "Look, Siryn, Maya you two head around the perimeter alright? sSneak around towards the back of the religious freaks? I'll head up towards the side, and Avalanche-" John looked over at the only other guy in the group. "Well, send earthquakes or what ever the sh*t you can make, their way." He then glanced over at Astral, realizing he couldn't just leave her and Lucy there. "And you, walking glow worm, your with me."
His plan was to hopefully get the religious people to f*cking back off, gain the attention of the protesters, and try to pull a Magneto-esque speech or something.

Astral was watching the crowds around them uncertainly before her attention was caught by John's words. "Oh, ok," she said in a decidedly cheerful tone, adjusting her handbag on her shoulder as she prepared to follow him.

Logan sent a furtive glance over to the Brotherhood members, seeing them begining to split off to scour the crowd. "That can't be good," he murmured to the other mutants stood with him.

::Odin was familiar with the concept of caller ID, and not hearing the usual "Hello?" assumed Morph knew it was him. As such, he chose not to mince words.:: "I don't know if you can see them, but the Brotherhood's here. They might be planning something, and I wanted to give you the head's up. A few from Xavier's are here too, In case of sudden explosion, you know the cause."

Raising an eyebrow at Astral's cheerfulness, he glanced around at the group, before then moving towards the religious people, who were separated from the Brotherhood, thanks to the crowd of mutant protesters and their human friends and families.

Astral continued to follow after John, absently brushing her hair from her face as she walked. The closer they got to the religious protesters, the louder their words were, and she could understand what they were saying. It made her uncomfortable, and she didn't like some of the looks she was receiving, so she moved closer to John's side.
