Stacy watched him prepare the sandwiches for a moment before she looked to his face. "Want a drink?" she asked.

::A drink would do Odin quite well at the moment, and he nodded, but did not turn his head from the admittedly simple task of sandwich preparation.:: "Yes, please. If there's a bottle of Plymouth left, I think I'll break into it."

"Starting early, aren't you?" she said as she went to fetch the bottle of gin from the cupboard.

::It was early to drink hard liquor, in fact, as the sun had yet to set, it was improper to do so. Odin did not care about decorum for the moment, nor the fact that he was going to meet Morph and Golem at Hellfire to drink more at seven. He might question whether or not he had a substance abuse problem, between this and his caffeine addiction at a later time. Perhaps there had been a reason his mentor never allowed him to drink. For now, however, he topped off the sandwiches and placed them on plates.:: "It's been a long day, but I'll switch to water after a glass."

"Alright," she said, not really having much judgement on the situation. She would join him. She got two glasses out, filling them with the gin before she set the bottle aside. She carried the plates over to the kitchen table and sat down, waiting for Odin to bring their food.

::Odin brought the sandwiches over to the table, and set hers down, before taking his seat. This was almost domestic, despite being thrown together by almost random chance and his own wanderings. Yet the religious groups such as Friends of Humanity thought they were somehow less entitled, and the Brotherhood had just made the case for them...he felt the same indignation rise within him again, and he reached for his glass to take a drink. This would be a long day.::

Stacy watched him carefully as he drank, able to pick up on his emotions quite strongly. "You need to relax more, honey," she said in a consoling tone as she picked up her sandwich. "Sometimes bad things happen, and there's nothing we can do about it."

::Odin knew that; he also had an evening set up to help him relax and send him back to the apartment with either less of a burden on his shoulders or a foggy head. He took a deep breath, set down the glass of gin, and reached for his own sandwich; food in his stomach might help as well. Her tone was reminiscent of another life, and implications, remembered as they were, set in.:: "I don't mean to put you through this."

Stacy waved a hand slightly. "Don't worry about me. I'm a big girl, I can handle my problems and someone else's if I have to," she said, a smile on her face as she attempted to cheer him up.

::Odin shook his head and took another deep breath. There. He was calm. Until he was out of the apartment, which was all he could promise.:: "Just because you have empathy doesn't mean I should bombard you with emotions. "

"I'm probably one of the few who actually understands how you're feeling," she said quietly at that, giving him a pointed look before she went back to her sandwich.

::She was right, of course, particularly as Odin wasn't one to speak of his emotions. He took a bite of his sandwich and chewed thoughtfully. After swallowing, he replied,:: "You are, and I know it, but I also don't want anyone to feel as frustrated as I do right now, at least on one level."

"Well, I do feel frustrated, but at the same time.. I know I can't change anything even if I wanted to," she said, watching him as she spoke.

"I know," ::Odin replied, before taking another bite of his sandwich. He washed the turkey down with a sip of gin.:: "I need to move from knowing it to accepting it."

"I guess that's easier to do with you have bigger things to worry about," she admitted with a grim smile before she picked up her own glass of gin and took a mouthful.
