"Wouldn´t be easy." Shade said, thinking "cause I never tried anything like that and it totally wouldn´t be me. Or we take on a more funny and less mean version and play people who, like, have just won 10 millions in a lottery and don´t really know much about how to get along in a posh restaurant. Would make people look and it might not be quite as difficult to stick to the role." She leant back in her seat. "It´s just sort of brainstorming really."

"Yah, breainstormin' is what really helps here," Gambit agreed with a wave of his hand. He rocked his foot slightly, thinking. "We could be spies pretendin' we be on an assignment. One of us could be a foreigner. Or we could be from opposite camps, like I might be Brotherhood an' you X-Men but we still date each other secretly. Wait... dat sounds like my marriage." He rolled his eyes. "Or we could even switch genders for one night."

"I like the spy thing." Shade said, pondering. "We could make it like a we don´t really know each other too well but have been sent on some sort of mission together."

"Okay," Gambit said. "Let's try it."

"All right." Shade said with a small grin. "any more rules or details we need?"

"We could also pretend we're bein' taped," Gambit said, "which will probably rule out any flirtin'."

"Not necessarily." Shade remarked. "not all sort of flirting is tapable."

Gambit waggled his brows. "Awright," he drawled. "Let's do it. Like Remy said - we'll have fun."
The car stopped, and he got out first, holding his hand out for Shade to get out.

"I´m sure of that. Let´s go ahead." Shade smirked when the car stopped and she climbed out , taking Gambit´s hand, trying to get into the role. The restaurant looked expensive even from the outside and she had to hold back an excited squeal. Instead she put on a neutral but not unfriendly face, waiting for him to close the door again.

The maitre'd at the restaurant checked their reservation and lead them towards the table in one of the more private areas of the restaurant. He offered to take Shade's rose to put it in a vase while they were at the restaurant so that it wouldn't droop over the evening.

The first thing Shade found somewhat demanding was not to simply stare as they walked in. She had never been in a restaurant even near that expensive, judging the decoration, furniture and people they saw dining here. She agreed to putting the rose into some water and sat down at the table they had been led to.

Gambit ordered the most expensive wine, inwardly snickering at the thought that he was supposed to be a spy and the government was covering all expenses. The waiter offered them menus, none of which had prices in it, and Gambit silently complimented himself on choosing that place.

Shade had a look at the menu, noticing at once there were no prices in it which probably meant everything one could get here was expensive enough to buy food for some days and people for. She had to read most of the appetizers twice to make out what exactly they were and even then she wasn´t completely sure. The minestrone at least sounded like she knew what she was ordering she thought with an inward grin.

Gambit could sense she was minorly confused, but couldn't offer her any help, not by the rules of the game they had chosen to play. If they were what they were, there'd be no extra questions asked apart from their task of just having a dinner.
He made his choices and put the menu away, leaning comfortably back in his chair.

The main course section was hardly more legible and after some consideration, Shade chose the peking duck. Rabbit and lamb sounded interesting when it came to what was served with them but in her eyes these were small, fluffy animals that weren´t really fit for eating. The desert menu put her into a different dilemma - too much chocolate to chose from and it took her a moment until she had decided there.
She put the menu aside and eyed Gambit, forcing herself not to grin because she was still rather fascinated by their surroundings. Instead, she lifted her wine glass. "Cheers." she said in a somewhat busyness-like voice holding the glass up a little.
