Shade could feel her body tremble slightly under his and closed her eyes. She did kept her legs around his waist but her grip had slackened. Her face was buried in his hair, her arms wrapped around Gambit´s neck in a feeble attempt to have their bodies as close as possible.

Gambit kissed her on the cheek, still acting almost unconsciously. Then he lay down next to her, getting his weight off her finally, and wrapped his arm around her. Only then he opened his eyes.

Shade instinctively snuggled against him, noticing only when Gambit no longer warmed her with his body that it wasn´t too warm in the room. It made her shiver slightly as her naked body was now mostly exposed to the air, but she either didn´t care or it didn´t bother her enough, because she did not reach for the blanket. When he opened his eyes, she smiled slighy, leaning closer to give him a kiss on the nose.

Gambit answered with the same kiss on her nose, then propped his head on one hand, looking at her with something of a smirk hidden by a layer of affection. " 'ey dere," he told her.

"Hey." she gave back, her smile broadening a little. Her breath was returning to normal again already, but her heart kept pounding faster than usual, giving Shade the feeling that it was trying to keep up with the happiness she felt as her mind seemed to be almost unable to do so. "I wish I was an empath." she said in a low voice, never breaking eye contact. She wondered what it felt like to sense someone´s feelings like an empath could although right now there was barely need to have this sort of power as Gambit´s eyes and body language spoke all about. Still, it would have made their emotions one in a way.

Shade shifted and put an arm across his chest, resting her chin on it. "What an accusation." she said in feigned repulsion. "calling me naughty and all."

Shade grinned broadly. "Why thank you, mec. Now I feel oddly flattered." she snickered. She bent her lower legs backwards, lazily putting her feet in the air.

"Yep." Shade said, leaning her head to the side to look up at him. She was feeling a little tired, but not much so which was strange in a way, counting in what time of the day - or rather night - it was. "You tired?" she asked.

"Neither am I." Shade said. Maybe she would fall asleep pretty quickly if they lay down to sleep as she often did when she had Gambit by her side. "Let´s be oddballs and stay up till sunrise." she said.
