Posted by Gambit on Jun 1, 2007, 22:46 Remy held her protectively in his embrace, kissing her forehead, He needed a few moments to rest as well, and his jetlag was beginning to catch up on him since he didn't sleep on the plane - he felt tired again. (( I'm off for tonight - sleep well )) Posted by Shade on Jun 1, 2007, 22:50 Shade closed her eyes, knowing she would need a few moments to recover. She leant her head against his chest, feeling utterly safe and comfortable. ((Okay, you too )) Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 11:22 Remy gave her a few moments to regain herself. Then, holding her securely around the back, he flipped them both over, laying Shade down on the bed. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 11:26 Shade let him turn her onto her back and leant in for a quick kiss while she let a hand run through Gambit’s hair. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 11:34 Remy caught her lips with his for a second, then held her face in his hands, looking at her with a smile in the corners of his lips. "Dat was great, cheri," he brushed a finger against her cheek. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 11:41 Shade mirrored his smile, feelings of deep affection surfacing to the front of her mind. "Thanks." she said, leaning a little higher to softly kiss his cheekbone. "Good to see you liked it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 11:49 " 'course I did," Remy grinned. "Or did you expect me not to admit it?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 11:53 Shade chuckled and let her thumb run across Gambit’s stubble. "No." she said. "It’s just nice to hear you admit it twice. Because I think I can count the ?God Shade, please don’t stop? under the same category." She smirked at him. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 11:56 "You know, it's really nice to know dat you're trainin' your memory dat fast," Remy said. "When you're done wit' words, we'll move to numbers." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 12:00 Shade made a face, feigning a pout. "But words are so much more interesting than numbers." she said. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 12:08 "Den you got no idea what numbers can do," Remy laughed. He leaned in for a kiss. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 12:21 Shade smiled. "No, I guess I don’t." she agreed, kissing him back. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 12:28 "Are you stayin' here tonight?" Remy asked. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 12:33 Shade gave him a smile. "I’d like to." she said. "but the people who know where I went think I’ll be back somewhen today and I don’t want them to worry. And I’ll need some fresh clothes pretty soon and all I’ve left is back at the mansion." She realized once more that she had gotten so used to his presence over the last few days that she would probably really miss him, but she also knew that besides the reasons she had just named, he might also need a few moments for himself to think things through whatever that meant for him. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 12:44 "De first problem is easily solved wit' a phone call, de second - wit' shopping," Remy winked. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 12:47 Shade chuckled. "I know." she said. "That’s little caring me: when you get home from a vacation make sure things are still fine." She kissed him on the nose. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 12:58 "Awright," Remy said, getting up. He wanted to make her stay, but other than simply persuading her to, really couldn't think of any valid reason for her to stay. He headed for the shower. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 13:04 Shade watched him for a moment when he left the room. He would not have asked her about staying if this hadn’t been what he wanted. She smiled, already hoping his businesses wouldn’t hold him up for too long. She got up and walked over to the shower. "When will you leave?" she asked just wanting to know for herself. If he was staying for another day she might as well come back the other day before he left. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 13:09 "Tomorrow as early as possible," Remy said, turning water on and letting it wash him over. Whatever it was Belladonna needed him for, it wouldn't be just a chat over a cup of coffee. If she went as far as to get his phone number from his intermediary, other than simply asking Tante Mattie to send a message, things were serious enough. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 13:17 Shade nodded. It was afternoon now, she thought but she would need some time back to the mansion, unpack her stuff and drop in at Rogue’s dorm for a chat. As early as possible probably meant before sunrise. "I could take a taxi back here after I got my stuff sorted up at school." she thought aloud. "but I’d probably fall asleep as soon as I reached your place." She could already feel the effects of the jetlag nag on her. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 13:20 "Considerin' I won't let you rest anyway, I suggest you stay at de Institute an' get some peace dere for yourself," Remy grinned, rubbing shampoo into his hair. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 13:23 Shade chuckled. "My thoughts exactly." she agreed watching him shower. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 13:28 "Aren't you gonna join me?" Remy asked, glancing at her. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 13:32 Only then Shade noticed she had still been leaning in the door frame, half lost in simply watching him, half lost in her own not too complicated thoughts. "I take that as a rhetorical question." she said and walked over to step into the shower. For a moment she just stood there, enjoying the water which immediately washed away some of the tiredness from the long flight. She leant back her head and closed her eyes, letting the water run over her body. Then she slung her arms around his waist, her head still tilted back. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 13:40 "But it needed to be asked," Remy remarked, tilting his head back to wash shampoo from his hair. As soon as he washed it off, he leaned to kiss Shade on the neck. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 13:44 Shade tilted her head a little when he kissed her, kept her eyes closed and smiled. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 13:56 Continuing to kiss her neck, Remy reached for shower gel and a sponge. He put some gel on the sponge and started washing Shade's shoulders slowly, getting as much pleasure from that simple act as he could. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 14:02 Shade felt her shoulders relax under his touch; they had been somewhat tense from the flight and his gentle massage felt just like what they had needed. She kept her arms around his waist, her fingers stroking his back slowly, her forehead leant against his chest. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 14:08 She seemed so natural and wonderful leaning against him that Gambit felt a surge of tenderness come over him. He leaned and bit her ear gently, nibbling on it with his eyes closed in pleasure as his hand with the sponge moved to rub her back. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 14:11 This moment needed no words, Shade felt and she couldn’t imagine another place she would have wanted to be right now. She moved her head a little and kissed his collarbone, her eyes still closed. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 14:24 Holding her face with a palm of his hand, Remy kissed her cheek next to her ear, tasting her skin with his lips. He felt his heartbeat quickening again, and it wasn't for a physical reason, but followed a wave of emotions going over him. He knew he shouldn't have allowed himself getting too emotional about Shade, but he couldn't resist it at the moment. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 14:51 Shade’s hands traveled higher and her fingers brushed against his neck, twirling locks of his hair softly. I love you she thought, feeling emotions rush through her that nearly made her heart ache, but she didn’t say it aloud Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 15:06 She was even more emotional than he himself, he noticed. It felt good. They created a synch between them in that moment, and he liked it. Sponge with soap forgotten and tossed aside, her embraced Shade with both arms and kissed her. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 15:10 She responded to the kiss instantly, a slight shudder running down her body as she was near overwhelmed with her own emotions and Gambit’s tenderness. Tightening her grip around his neck carefully, she pulled him closer. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 15:27 Gambit tightened his embrace around her, entwining his tongue with hers in an eager kiss. He couldn't help it, he wanted her again. He pressed her to the wall. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 15:34 His body and his kiss let her know what he was up to and Shade found she didn’t mind in the least. She could feel slight exhaustion creep up in the back of her mind which was simply due to the fact that it had been a rather long day again, but she forced it back and deepened the kiss instead. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 15:53 Remy raised her and, pressing her to the wall, entered her, supporting her weight by his hands. He didn't break the kiss, but inhaled deeply, needing more air than humid shower atmosphere could give him. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 15:58 Shade let out a slight gasp into the kiss feeling her head start to spin slightly. His kiss was needy, she had the impression that she could almost grasp this need as if it was a sort of foggy layer around them. She framed his face with her hands, letting her fingers brush along its outlines.

Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 16:08 Remy broke the kiss and kissed her again, breathing heavily as he let go of her mouth. He started making slow movements inside of her; it wasn't really sex that he needed, just being close to her, physically and emotionally. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 16:13 He seemed out of breath, just as herself, she noted and took a few deep breaths of air which didn’t really help much as the bathroom air was humid and dense. Shade slung her legs around his waist, gripping him but not using too much force, just following her inner need for closeness. She leant her forehead against his and watched him while she moved her hips slightly and along his rhythm. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 16:31 "I want you," Remy whispered, his eyes locked with hers. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 16:37 She found it a rather curious thing to say. He had said these exact words before, but never when they were already having sex for reals. Shade wasn’t entirely sure but she thought to sense the same sort of still unknown excitement about him that had not been there days ago. "You have me." she whispered back, stroking the back of his neck with her fingers, opening all her emotions towards him unable to keep them from flowing from her in invisible waves. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 16:49 Remy wanted to say something, but instead found himself kissing her again. What could he say? That her words made him happy? that he needed her? all that would give away his emotional state at the moment and would strip him away of his self-sufficiency in her eyes? It wasn't an easy thing to admit, nor was it necessary. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 16:54 Shade kissed him back, overwhelmed by his response that bore more than sheer physical need. She felt her heart leap and continued moving her hands along the back of his head, caressing his hair in a half affectionate half soothing motion. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 17:04 Making slow, long movements, Remy gave in to her touch, holding her securely against the wall with his arms. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 17:08 Shade moved with his slow rhythm, feeling that this was not really about sex at the moment. She moved to kiss his temples and cheekbones in turn. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 17:30 Her closeness and willingness to give herself to him, as well as her emotional state were nearly driving Gambit mad. His body was begging for long-awaited release, but he still held it back. He could not risk it, could not have his mind losing the battle to his emotions. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 17:36 Shade felt her own heartbeat and breath quicken slightly. Gambit’s closeness affected her both physically and emotionally and she felt the urgent need to get even closer. Unconsciously she pushed her hips against him with slightly more force, urging him on. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 17:40 Remy gave a muffled cry when she pressed her body closer to him, provoking his body for release. He was barely holding, but he clenched his teeth and drove into her with more force. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 17:45 Shade had not thought her slight push would provoke such a reaction from him which told her that he was struggling for control. Her hands drew soothing patterns across his back while she gave in to his increase in rhythm, a moan escaping her. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 17:50 For some reason, Remy was reminded of their first night together, when he had wanted her just as blindly as he did now. Still, something was different. Just like then, he started whispering tender words in French to her, warming her skin with his breath as he continued pushing into her. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 17:55 Shade closed her eyes, a slight trembling taking hold of her body, like a very faint hint of gooseflesh across her skin. She leant against him, covering his shoulder in soft, tender kisses, listening to whatever he was saying. Her own arousal was building up quickly, leaping towards a climax and she bucked against him with as much force as her position allowed. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 17:59 Remy kissed her cheek and her neck, barely noticing what he was doing. He was on the verge of his own climax now, and most thoughts had left his head at that point. His body increased its pace on its own accord, pressing deeper into Shade. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 18:02 Shade let out another moan and leant back her head, lost in the sheer bliss of the sensations his movements created. For a long, almost torturing moment her body hovered close to the edge then the orgasm hit her forcefully, letting her cry out in pleasure. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 18:16 As her inner muscles gripped him forcefully, Remy lost his control. He realized he was coming and that he had no protection, so he quickly slipped out of her. At that moment, his legs gave way, and he knelt down on the floor, letting Shade's body out of his embrace but still holding her a little to let her stand down on the floor. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 18:22 He did not give her time to ride out her climax and it sent her head spinning immediately. It took Shade a moment to realize what he was doing and for a moment, she found herself struggling to remain standing, then her deepest instincts kicked in and she knelt down in front of Gambit, hugging him tightly. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 18:30 "Dat was insane..." Remy whispered, his eyes closed, as he leant in into Shade's embrace. His body shuddered slightly at her touch, and he felt completely drained and powerless. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 18:35 Gambit seemed completely exhausted and not only physically. She felt him return the embrace and hugged him a little closer, stroking his back, kissing his temple. Shade didn’t know what to say, her head felt empty. "It’s all right..." she then whispered back, following a strong urge of protectiveness. He seemed at a loss and she wanted to ease it. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 18:38 His hands didn't obey him, but he wanted to hug her back, so the only thing he could do was hide his face in the corner between her neck and shoulder. " 'm sorry..." he said just as quietly. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 18:42 Shade closed her eyes, an immense wave of tenderness rushing over her at his words. He seemed confused, more than she had ever seen him and for the moment she did nothing but hold him in her arms. He had lost control, he never did usually and in her head pieces started to form a whole. Her left hand started to stroke the back of his head. "It’s all right..." she repeated in a low voice. "Don’t feel sorry." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 18:46 Remy started kissing her neck, overwhelmed with passionate longing for her. He felt some anger at his body betraying him, but it would return in a few moments, and, fortunately, Shade was right there next to him, giving him what he needed so much at the moment. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 18:50 Shade gave in to his kissing. She had the feeling she could almost sense his emotions yet they remained hard to grasp for her. Gambit seemed overwhelmed, totally confused. She would give in to what he wanted, he needed her in this moment and she would not deny him her closeness. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 18:58 Remy finally found himself being able to hug her. He drew back a bit to look at her, as he chuckled slightly. "Shade, if dis goes on..." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:00 She was actually feeling a little relieved to hear him chuckle and smiled broadly. "What then?" she asked. "...I’ll soon no longer be able to walk?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 19:06 "Well, me neither," Remy grinned. " 'cause we won't eat or sleep, ya know..." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:08 Shade chuckled. "We’d look funny all haggard with deep shadows under our eyes and waddling along." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 19:13 "Yeah, ya get de meanin'," Remy said. He shifted a little, stretching his legs, and stuck his face under the shower for a few seconds. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:16 "I do." Shade smiled and let her hand run along his arm. She almost hated herself for having made the promise to herself to return to the mansion later. She didn’t want to go and she’d miss him terribly those next few days. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 19:19 Remy stood up, rather relieved that he was actually able to stand, and offered his hand to Shade. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:25 Shade took his hand and got up. Getting on the tips of her toes, she stole a kiss from his lips. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 19:36 Remy smiled at her and, turning the water off, stepped out of the shower. He got himself a towel and gave another one to Shade. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:41 Shade took the towel from him and draped it around her; she dried herself and ruffled the towel through her wet hair. Doing so she noticed she was hungry again. "God, I so hope the fridge at the mansion’s worth raiding." she said. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 19:51 Remy opened his mouth to suggested going somewhere to eat, but decided not to - Shade had made so many hints already that she needed to return to the mansion that his another useless attempt to make her stay longer with him would simply be thoughtless and impolite. "Let's hope so," he said finally and gave her a smile before heading out of the shower room with the towel wrapped around his hips.

Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 19:58 Shade noticed his hesitating before he actually said something and felt almost cruel for insisting to return home. She didn’t want to, but she felt she had to, her conscience was nagging her to. Tying the towel around her hips she followed him out of the room. "You know I’ll miss you." she said with a smile before she could avoid herself saying so. She had not said something about missing him for quite a while, simply because he had never said the same, but it was how she felt at the moment and she knew she had to say it out loud. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 20:09 "Shade," Remy sighed, although he couldn't help but smile, "what am I to do wit' ya?"
He got two bottles of ice tea out of the fridge and offered her one. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 20:11 She took the bottle from him, but didn’t drink yet. Instead, she watched him. "This doesn’t have a sexual connotation right now, does it?" she stated more than asked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 20:22 "No, it doesn't," Remy said, drinking from his bottle. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 20:27 So much had been obvious. Shade took a sip from her bottle and looked at him. "I can’t decide for you." she said, smiling a little, referring to his previous question. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 20:41 "I can't decide, either," Remy said, leaning with his back against the kitchen counter. "You tellin' me you're gonna miss me, an' I... I feel bad, I don't know. Missin' seems like a negative thing." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 20:46 He was stammering and he was feeling bad about what she had said. It hadn’t been the first time she had told him this, but now it had a different effect. Shade walked over to him and placed her bottle on the kitchen table. She couldn’t help but smile a little. "Without going into detail about the possible loss of fingers or something of the like, no ... don’t see it as a negative thing and please..." she shook her head "...don’t feel bad about it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 20:50 "So Shade suggests I should allow her t' miss me?" Remy wished to clarify it. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 20:52 Shade nodded. "Yes." she said. "There’s nothing bad about it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:04 "What if I just disappear?" Remy shrugged, suggesting an example. "I dunno... plane crash tomorrow or somethin'?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:10 He was trying to tell her there was something negative about the things she did not see in such a way, she noticed. Just as he had tried to explain to her how positive feelings could be turned into something negative with that hilarious example about baddies cutting off fingers. It was his usual strategy, she guessed, to keep her from having such feelings about him although he knew it was far too late for that. Maybe, she thought, it was his own attempt of running from himself and his own emotions. "That’s the risk." she said with a shrug. "I don’t think like ?oh, he might have a plane crash so I better don’t miss him?." Shade shook her head. "Stop talking me out of my feelings already, Gambit." she added a slight hint of humor in her voice. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:15 "Was worth a try, anyways," Remy smiled, lowering his eyes as he drank from his bottle again. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:19 Shade guessed there was much more thinking going on under the surface than he would ever admit. He had been right earlier, he would have to fix some things in his head. Which was another reason why it wasn’t such a bad idea to leave for the mansion soon. It would leave him some time for thinking before he plunged into whatever job he’d be off to the other morning. She shrugged and smiled a little. "Well, I’m stubborn." she said taking her bottle again and sitting down on the table. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:22 Remy glanced at her with a smile. "So you always insist on gettin' what you want?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:23 She returned his glance. "Not always." she said. "Just when it makes sense for me to insist and when I feel good about insisting." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:30 "But do you always know what you want?" Remy asked, tilting his head a bit. It was an interesting subject, and it gave him a good silent excuse not to let her go for a while. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:34 She shook her head slightly, twirling the bottle in her hands. "No." she admitted. "Life would be a little dull if we always knew what we wanted, always felt sure we were doing the right thing. It would take away so much opportunities." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:36 "Opportunities to make mistakes?" Remy smiled wryly. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:40 Shade sighed inwardly, wishing she could take away part of his pessimism - or how he might call it: realism. "Opportunities to make mistakes, opportunities to feel happiness ... and life is not just black and white." she said. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:42 "When you track down every piece of it, it is black an' white at de very bottom," Remy said. "It's like red-green-blue compose all colors on a TV-screen. Anythin' you can think of consists of good an' bad aspects." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:45 She pondered his thoughts for a moment. "Probably." she said. "But how you see this bottom makes all the difference. Whether it’s white with black or black with white." She took a swig from her ice tea. "Just like the zebra question." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:50 "Or a glass question," Remy nodded, grinning. "You know what you are for me, Shade?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:52 Shade paused for a moment as she was actually surprised he was asking a question like that. One of the questions that were burning in her mind for quite a time now. She looked at him, curious. "No." she said drinking from her bottle again. "What am I for you?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 21:57 "You're an ice cube. You know why dey use ice cubes in drinks?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 21:58 Shade had to chuckle and was about to say ‘to make a drink cooler?, then it dawned on her. "To make a glass look full." she said. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:01 "Okay," Remy nodded. It was a good answer, and it only added to his metaphor, but it wasn't the one he meant. "What else?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:03 "O...kay." Shade said, furrowing her brow in thought. "Let me think like a bar keeper then.... to keep drinks cool....to water down alcohol..." she shook her head and couldn’t think of anything else. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:14 "Awright," Remy smiled. He glanced towards the window, then back at Shade. "See, when you put ice cubes into somethin' strong like whiskey or vodka, dat drink starts to melt de ice. An' just on de edge of bein' mixed, water creates a soft sugary layer around ice cubes. If you pick de right amount of drink an' ice, ice turns de drink into somethin' more acute. It emphasizes certain qualities of a drink, makin' it better in many aspects. At least to some people. But only just before ice turns into water." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:18 Shade tried to follow his thoughts with some difficulty. "So..." she tried to summaries. "If you’re the drink and I’m the ice cube... I bring out your better qualities? And should beware of melting?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:23 "I'm not de drink," Remy said. "My life is." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:25 Shade nodded slowly. "So is being the ice cube a good thing then?" she asked, not being entirely sure about how he read that metaphor. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:26 "You bet, Shade," Remy winked before drinking from his bottle again. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:28 Shade chuckled. "Yay." she said. "I’m a psychological weapon and an ice cube. What more could a girl wish for?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:29 "Would depend on a girl, of course," Remy chuckled. "What else would you want to be?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:34 "True." Shade agreed. "I knew quite some girls who wouldn’t have known the value of being all that." She let her legs dangle down the table. "What else.." she wondered, thinking hard. "I guess I’m pretty much a journal, ... people tend to come to me when they need someone to talk to." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:39 "Gotta remember dat," Gambit smiled, turning towards the window again. "Just in case." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:41 "You do that." Shade said, smiling a little, before she drank again. "Reminds me a little of that fun little game me and my friends used to play when we were kids. 'If I was an animal, what animal would I be'?"

Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:50 "Yeah, sounds dat way," Remy looked at her again with curiosity in his eyes. "Dere are tons of such games, anyway." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 22:52 "Oh, there are." Shade agreed. "What’s your favorite?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 22:57 "Dat would be strip poker," Remy grinned, "but seriously... dunno. Been a long time since I played any of those 'get to know each other better' games." Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:00 Shade chuckled. "I always found ‘truth or Dare? rather funny ... it’s developed more towards a ‘truth? when me and Rogue play it because we’re too lazy for the dares. And it’s no longer embarrassing because all the embarrassing questions have already been covered." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:02 "So it has no point for you anymore?" Remy smirked. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:04 Shade grinned. "Not really." she said. "but we use to play it when we get bored and it tends to turn into nice gossip at some point anyways." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:08 "Gah, I won't even comment on dat," Remy rolled his eyes, chuckling. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:10 Shade laughed. "Oh, but gossiping is so much fun." She sighed and feigned pity, rolling her eyes a little. "Something I guess most men will never understand." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:12 "Thieves actually rely on gossip, chere," Remy winked. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:17 "Do they take part in the gossip as well?" Shade asked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:18 "Sometimes, if it helps to extract information," Remy nodded. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:19 Shade shrugged. "See?" she stated. "And you’re an information junkie so you’d have to know gossip is fun." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:23 "But not gossip for the sake of gossip," Remy shrugged. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:24 Shade snickered. "Okay, point taken" she admitted. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:31 Remy gave her a grateful smile. He liked having those verbal contests with her, and this one had been especially long until Shade finally backed out, and he wanted to thank her somehow for the fun he'd had talking to her, but couldn't think of anything. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:34 Shade’s smile widened a little. "I’m training for the day when I’ll win a conversation like that." she said. "One day it’ll be you to take my point." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:36 "It's not dat difficult, actually," Remy admitted. "But why do it?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:37 Shade shrugged. "I don’t know." she said. "It’s fun talking to you like that." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:38 "It's mutual," Remy smiled. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:41 Her smile widened into a grin, happy about the fact that he enjoyed their verbal exchanges and even more because he admitted it. It was little steps, she thought, admit the one thing or the other, let the one or other thing slip through consciously or not. Just give him time, a voice in the back of her mind told her. Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:51 Remy gazed at her for a few moments, then realized that something had been nagging at him for a few minutes already. "Okay," he said, feeling a bit weird, "I think I need a cigarette. Dat in case you mind second-hand smoke." He walked towards the window, there was a pack of cigarettes lying there. Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:54 Shade shook her head slightly. "No, I’m fine with it." she said, then said. "and I guess I should slowly see that I get my butt back home as much as I hate that little voice in my head insisting on it for it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 2, 2007, 23:55 Gambit got a cigarette and lit it, then leaned against the wall. "Shade's havin' voices in her head?" Posted by Shade on Jun 2, 2007, 23:58 Shade chuckled. "Not really." she said. "just the usual, reminding you of what’s "right" or "wrong".." she marked the words with her fingers. "and which occasionally throw in a "what the heck is he up to now?" She flashed him a grin. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:00 "How do they know what's right or wrong?" Remy wondered. "An' he is always up to one thing, you would know it by now." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:01 "They think they know." Shade said with a shrug. "which doesn’t mean they do know. And yep, I agree with the latter." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:04 "Sounds like you're always havin' conflicts with voices in your head, chere," Remy grinned, then pulled at his cigarette. "Don't sound good to Gambit." He had lived with Mary in his mind - one that was now obviously a resident of Typhoid's mind - and could still remember how it felt. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:06 Shade chuckled and shook her head. "It’s not really voices so never worry." she said. "It’s just a perfectly normal thing about being female." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:08 "An' why do you think it's limited only to women?" Remy inquired. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:09 Shade shrugged. "Cliché thinking?" she suggested. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:11 "Why?" Remy smiled, though trying to keep a seriously wise expression on his face. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:12 "To be honest, I have no bloody idea." Shade said, feigning seriousness. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:15 "Well, you better think of one fast, Remy would hate to win second time in a row in five minutes," Remy grinned. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:18 "Okay." Shade said, stifling a grin, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Because women’s brains are more complicated. More space for quarrels of inner, innate voices." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:21 "Now dat's sexist, chere," Remy shook his finger at her. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:22 "No it’s not." she gave back protesting but unable to hide a grin. "It’s just fair, evolutionary wise because guys have two brains... only the head one’s easily set out of function." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:28 Remy snorted, putting the back of his hand with cigarette to his lips. "Dat's penls envy, chere," he remarked, "definitely. Go read Freud an' stop talkin' nonsense about the complexity of female brains." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:30 Shade didn’t stop smirking. "Freud’s overrated." she said. "doesn’t really count in genetics or social context for that matter. And come on, I’d look strange with a third leg, wouldn’t I? Although it would make peeing easier but... no, I think I can do without one." She nodded gravely. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:32 "Dat all it limits itself to?" Remy asked, raising his brows in incredulity. He so wanted to laugh right now, but he was holding. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:35 Shade shrugged, grinning. "Well, I see more advantages without one." she said. "plus, you can openly drool and daydream over strangers and no one notices." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:38 "Dat from someone who knows about empaths an' telepaths," Remy nodded with skepticism. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:39 "Oh fine, just ruin my argumentation." Shade exclaimed in feigned despair. "But not everyone out there is an empath or telepath." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:41 "Yep," Remy nodded, "but you said 'no one', an' usin' demagogic methods is bad for your health." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:46 Shade shrugged. "Still, I’m not persuaded of that penls envy thing." she said. "Oh, come on, master of word twisting, persuade me." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:49 "I gave my final analysis, dat's all I need to know dat I'm right," Remy studied his nails with the most innocent mien. "I don't need arguments to persuade myself or anybody else of my obvious rightness." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:51 "You didn’t." Shade said. "You didn’t give a single argument why having a penls is a good thing and would make women envious for not having one. So... I’ll just consider that winning point goes for me." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 0:52 "First, I don't think I need to talk about good or bad here," Remy shrugged, "secondly, I gave you the term, the term has an official explanation, you can google it if you want, hence I ain't gotta prove anythin'."

Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 0:55 "So I can just throw in some term with an official definition and don’t have to explain anything but consider the point taken?" Shade wondered. "Good, I’ll remember that."
((...*googles*)) Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:01 "No, because if ya threw in an official term for money launderin' now, dere'd be no point to support." Remy finished his cigarette and put the stub out in the ashtray. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:03 She rolled her eyes at him. "In a given context of course." she said, chuckling. "Throwing in words completely randomly would seem a little strange." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:04 "Not if ya can explain you way out of it," Remy grinned, sitting down at the table. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:06 "Right again." she admitted. "Oh geez, I guess that’s another point for you, my brains starting to protest." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:10 "You got better body parts to protest wit', chere, other than your brain," Remy smiled a charming smile. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:12 "I know." Shade smirked. "And that knowledge makes me so damn powerful that Gambit’s almost pudding in my hands." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:14 "Yep," Remy kept smiling with the same smile. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:15 "There, there, he admits it." Shade grinned at him and let a hand ruffle through his hair, still sitting on the table. "I had one heck of a fun earlier." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:19 "Me too," Remy grinned up at her. "You're not havin' fun anymore?" Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:19 She chuckled. "Oh come on, course I do. Don’t twist every word, will you?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:22 "If you're leavin' loopholes in your words like that, dey can be slip of de tongue," Remy said, getting serious. "An' so Gambit simply had to make sure his girl is havin' fun."
(( whoa, so late... and my Trados has stopped working... *kicks stupid Trados* That's what I get for stolen software. I guess I'll finish my translation tomorrow. Okay, a few more posts )) Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:25 "But I’m getting better about the loopholes, am I not?" Shade asked. "And about the fun... you’re doing a pretty good job about that." She tousled his hair again.
((*looks at watch* Oops... okay a few more posts I guess I’ll be off in like... 15 mins)) Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:26 "Okay, chere, if you keep touchin' me like that, we'll end up havin' sex in a few seconds, and you know dat," Remy said. "Dat's a warning." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:29 "Aah, I know." Shade said, pulling her hand back. "and if we keep it up like that it’ll take like another few days till I get home and people will start looking for my body." She looked at him and sighed. "I wouldn’t even mind but my conscience nags me telling me I guess I should go now. See if things are okay back at my place." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 1:35 "Okay," Remy smiled, then leaned his forehead against her side.
(( I fixed Trados and can go rest peacefully now good night! )) Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 1:37 Shade smiled, then leant lower to kiss him on the head before she got up to walk over into the bedroom and look for her scrambled clothes. Damn yeah, she would miss him, she thought.
((Yay Sleep well, I’m off not, too)) Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 10:16 When she left the kitchen, Remy sat there for a moment, trying to think, but nothing came to mind. Finally he stood up and went to the living room to sit down on the carpet against the wall. His body was demanding some sleep, and he knew he'd be asleep the minute Shade left his place. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 11:01 When Shade had gotten dressed, she left the bedroom and found Gambit in the living room, leant against the wall. He looked tired. She couldn’t tell whether he had slept during the flight. "Jetlag, eh?" she asked with a smile. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 11:05 " 'mong other things," Remy replied with a smile. He stood up and walked over to her. "Want me to call you a taxi?" Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 11:07 Again, he was admitting a tiny little bit he would not have admitted some days before Shade noted with an inward smile. "Yeah." she said. "You look about as tired as I feel and trying to transport all my stuff on your bike would look funny." she added with a smile. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 11:10 "Eh, non," Remy grinned. "De bike was absolutely outta question. I was merely askin' whether I should call you a taxi, or you'd get one yourself," he went to the room to get his cellphone. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 12:28 Seemed she had been thinking too complicated again, Shade thought with a chuckle. She sat down on the carpet waiting for him to return. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 12:36 Having called a taxi, Remy tossed his cellphone on the bed and went back to the room. He sat down next to Shade and looked at her. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 12:40 Shade returned his gaze. She had pulled her legs towards her and was resting her chin on her knees. "What are you thinking right now?" she asked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 12:45 "Nothin'," Remy shrugged. "Or prob'ly a bit about stuff to be done tomorrow." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 12:47 Shade nodded, curiosity nagging her mind where he was going but she didn’t ask. It was probably another of his businesses and if he didn’t chose to give her details this meant he didn’t want to. "I guess I might have to tell the taxi driver to wake me up." she said, stifling a yawn. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 12:49 "If ya don' pay in advance, trust me, he will," Remy grinned. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 12:50 Shade chuckled. "I’ll not pay him in advance then." she said with a nod. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 12:56 "I'm sorry I can't give ya a ride," Remy gave a wry smile. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 12:58 Shade gave him a smile. "That’s okay. You can give me a ride any time later." she said with a smirk. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 12:59 "Any time?" Remy asked. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 13:01 "I said any time later." Shade replied, showing she had not left a loop hole. "Now would be problematic because of the taxi. And any time does not include times while I’m teaching and things like that." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 13:04 "Dommage," Remy clicked his tongue. "Was already picturin' givin' you a ride while you're sleepin' or somethin'." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 13:07 Shade shrugged. "Bad luck." she said with a feigned apologetic smile. "It would be a pity anyways. It’s so much more fun when I’m awake." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 13:09 "Is it?" Remy squinted at her with a mischievous grin. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 13:11 "Course it is." Shade said, trying to hide her grin and put on a matter of fact tone. "Sleeping Shade would topple off you, sleeping Shade would be miserable with blow jobs, sleeping Shade would not scream when you want her to....the list is endless." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 13:20 Remy beamed at that enumeration. "Okay, you win." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 13:22 Shade stretched her arms into the air in a victorious gesture. "Ha!" she exclaimed. "I win! Now I can die happily." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 13:28 "Please don't," Remy made an unhappy face. "I've had enough dead bodies for one week." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 13:30 Shade made a face. "Yeah." she said, the warehouse floating back to the front of her mind. So they were all dead as she had guessed. "Never worry, I’m not planning to die yet. It was just on my "to do" list. Like the astronaut thing." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 13:33 "Ah bon," Remy said, "don' know if I should feel accomplished or defeated." (( I think the taxi is there already )) Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 14:19 Shade grinned. "All has its good and bad sides, remember?" she teased, then got up. "Guess the taxi should be there by now." she said, feeling a hint of sadness at her words. ((;D)) Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 19:58 "Awright," Remy got up as well. "Sorry for not helpin' ya get your stuff downstairs an' all.." Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 20:00 "You’ll have to make up for that eventually." Shade teased, then turned to give him a kiss on the cheek. "No really, it’s okay. There’s an elevator and I’ll simply pull the weak-girl show and make the driver carry and store my stuff." Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 20:05 "Okay," Remy smiled. "Jus' don't fall asleep in de elevator," he pulled her to him and kissed her. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 20:10 Shade returned the kiss, feeling her heart ache slightly. She didn’t know how long he’d stay away. She was familiar with that already but after having been constantly around him for days she knew she would miss him more than usual. After a moment when she felt she would get lost in the kiss soon, she broke it and looked at him, letting her hand run along his stubbled jaw. "I won’t." she said, smiling a little then grabbed her things. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 20:17 "Den I ain't gotta worry for ya," Remy winked, opening the door for her. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 20:20 "Not at all" Shade agreed, got her suitcase by the handle and shouldered her extra bags, then walked out. "I’ll see you, Thief." She got on her toe tops to kiss him on the cheek briefly, before she turned to walk towards the elevator. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 20:24 "See ya, Shade," Remy grinned, stifling a mischievous urge to call her 'teacher'. Posted by Shade on Jun 3, 2007, 20:26 She looked back at him over her shoulder, giving him a smile, then she was off. Posted by Gambit on Jun 3, 2007, 20:33 After she was gone, Remy went back to the bedroom. He dropped on the bed and slept for several hours. After waking up, he decided to pay a visit to the Club, see how things were around there. Probably it would be best to spend the evening there and then sleep through the night before taking an early flight to New Orleans. He decided to put off all thoughts about him and Shade for later time - maybe he would get a decent chance to talk to Belle, she used to be good at making him get the sense of things. He got his bike and drove towards the club. (( Move to: New York City :: Making her way back... ))

Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 1:24 ******************************************************* (( Move from: New York City :: Webster Hall )) While they were going up in the elevator, Remy considered making out again, but decided he was tired enough to be able to keep himself in check at least temporarily. He opened the door, let Shade inside and took his sneakers off immediately, enjoying the feel of fluffy carpet under his bare feet. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 1:27 Shade stepped inside and tossed her sandals into some corner, letting out a sigh. Following a childlike impulse and because the carpet was feeling so nice, she let herself drop onto the floor and closed her eyes spreading her arms. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 1:30 "I like t' do dat sometimes, too," Remy smiled as he walked past her to the kitchen. He filled two glasses with water and returned to her, offering her one glass. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 1:31 Shade propped up on her elbows and took the glass from him, half emptying it at once. "Well, that’s because it’s such a nice and fluffy carpet." she said contently. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 1:34 "Non," Remy said before taking a long gulp from his glass, "it's de other way around. Gambit likes sittin' and lyin' on de floor, and dat's why it's such a nice an' fluffy carpet." He squatted in front of her. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 1:38 "Makes sense." Shade said with a little shrug, drinking from her glass again before setting it aside carefully and lying back down looking at the ceiling lazily. She was feeling positively exhausted now, her senses dulling a little from the weariness. "I know I might’ve said that again but we should go to places like that more often in the future." she remarked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 1:41 "Funny Gambit bein' a nightclub owner would say dat, but we should," Remy agreed. "What was it Shade liked de most about it?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 8:41 Shade craned her head to look up at him. "Don’t know." she said. "Guess it’s just because I always liked going to clubs back at home now and then and haven’t been to one for too long." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 11:17 Remy smiled, ruffling her hair, then stood up, downed his glass of water and headed for the shower. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 12:48 Shade chuckled as it was usually the other way round with her ruffling his hair. She remained lying there for another moment, too lazy to get up, and then, hearing the shower, felt reminded of how weary and sweaty she felt herself. Part of her was all for just following him and stepping under the shower with him, but she knew this might very likely lead for another making out and she felt too exhausted for that at the moment, so she decided to wait for him to return and instead just remained lying spread eagled on the carpet. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 12:54 Gambit was quick about the shower and brushing his teeth; a part of him was glad that Shade didn't follow him to the shower, and he could even tell what part that was. He returned to the room, finding her still lying there on the floor. Without saying anything, he knelt next to her, unbuttoned the neck of her halter top and unzipped her skirt. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 12:58 Shade watched what he was doing in silence as it was brining back a moment from earlier ?What are you doing to me, Shade??. With that question he had shown more about himself than he had in weeks. She smiled a little. "I was too lazy to get up." she said. "could need a shower as well though..." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:02 "Yep," Remy replied, pulling both pieces of clothing off her. When he was done, he stood up and walked over to stand behind her head. "Hands up, mademoiselle," he commanded. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:10 Shade raised her hands as he asked her to and glanced at him to see what he would be up tp. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:13 Remy took her hands and dragged her across the room to the shower. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:15 Shade started to laugh. "Hey." she chuckled. "You could’ve just said: ‘shade you smell, go take a shower!?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:17 "Yes, but den you wouldn' laugh," Remy pointed out. He stopped and pulled her up to her feet. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:20 Shade looked at him and acted surprised. "Didn’t know it was necessary to drag me across the floor to make me laugh. Am I so grumpy?" She made a face feigning a pout. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:27 "If you're unhappy about it, jus' tell me so an' stop jokin'," Remy said, then slapped her butt, pushing her towards the shower. "Now get a shower 'fore Gambit jumps ya again." Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:30 Shade tried to snatch for his hand but wasn’t quick enough. Instead she tried to let it look as if she hadn’t tried to catch his hand at all which didn’t look too elegant, stuck her tongue out at him and went to take a shower. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:37 While she was taking shower, Remy checked his e-mail and then went to the bedroom, slumping on the bed. It was too hot in New York now, and he had never liked air condition much, so he had a sheet instead of a blanket now. He pulled it partly over himself and turned on his stomach, trying to keep awake until Shade would return. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:39 The shower revived her a little, but she knew it was only temporary and weariness would return as soon as she sat or lay down. Leaving her clothes behind, Shade walked over and found Gambit in bed already. Obviously he was just as tired as she felt herself. With a sigh, she let herself drop next to him. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:45 Remy looked at her wearily. He kissed the tip of his index finger and pressed it against her lips. "Bonne nuit, chere," he said. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 13:48 Shade smiled at him, her eye lids feeling heavy. "Sleep well." she said and stretched a little then rolled on her side face towards him and closed her eyes. In a matter of minutes she was asleep. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 13:55 Gambit woke up around nine, feeling completely drenched in sweat. The room was on the sunny side, and he forgot to leave the windows open for the night. He got up and walked over to the window, rubbing his neck a little bit. The sound of traffic below came into the room together with fresh air. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 14:00 When the morning breeze went through the room, Shade stirred and lazily blinked. She had pushed the bedsheet away instinctively while she was sleeping. Rolling over onto her back, she glanced at Gambit near the window. "Looks like a perfect sunny morning." she remarked still blinking away sleep." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 14:03 "Well, we're above de clouds here, so ev'ry mornin' is sunny," Remy smirked, returning to the bed. He slumped onto his stomach, leaning over Shade. "You wanna sleep some more?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 14:04 Shade had no idea how late it had been when they had went to bed, but her inner clock told her it must have been pretty late, too late for her body to be well rested already. "Uh-huh." she murmured. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 14:10 Remy thought quickly what to do. He had trained himself to recover quickly with the help of little sleep, so he wasn't sleepy any longer... but he had no desire whatsoever to leave sweetly slumbering Shade alone. He lay on his back and pulled her to him, letting her lay her head on his chest. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 14:15 Shade snuggled closer to him, smiling a little when she looked at him sleepily. Soon she was asleep again despite the light in the room, lulled asleep by the sound of his breathing. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 15:07 Remy held her gently around the shoulders, his fingers resting on her arm, as he studied the perfectly blank ceiling above him. Now that he was alone with his thoughts again, he started recalling parts of his latest conversation with Tante Mattie.
She had always believed that his powers were closely connected to his emotions. He had seen the proof of that many times, of course, but never gave much credit to it, despite having been raised by Tante Mattie. "Now what's the matter with you, Remy?" she inquired in discontent as he walked into her house. "Completely closed. Give it a few more months, and your powers will be as hard to use as your empathy."
It was in that moment that he remembered and established a direct connection between his more recent fights with Sinister's Marauders and how drained he had been after those. Drained not just physically, but emotionally as well. It was weird, but it was true, and it was it that made him long for Shade's closeness when he had finally reached the mansion. Funny, now it seemed that his words that her kisses had the power to bring back to life were very close to the truth, even though he had only been joking.
Tante Mattie was so angry with him, she almost forgot to make him a cup of coffee. Unspeakable anger. "When was the last time you loved anybody, Remy?" she demanded, opening her palm towards him as if she expected the answer to be put into it in material form. "Several years," he shrugged. "Well, now you've reached your limits. If you keep shutting your emotions away like that, they begin to implode inside of your soul, and your powers will be the first to go with them." He knew the whole story as Tante Mattie had taught him since his early years. She had a theory of how the explosive energy he kept within him affected his soul and vice versa. His powers would be lost first. Then dreams, then senses of smell and taste, then memories, then sense of touch. The theory was kinda shaky, in his opinion, but he knew what a great psychic Tante Mattie was, and he didn't want to test it.
Now the hardest thing was to open again. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 15:18 When Shade opened her eyes again, she felt almost completely rested. She didn’t know how long she had slept again, it might have been minutes or hours, but Gambit was still there, her head was still resting on his chest. She craned her head to look at him and smiled. How long had he been lying like this, awake? "How late is it?" she asked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 15:21 "I think it's ten," Gambit replied, turning to look at her. "How are you doin', chere?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 15:26 "Oh, wonderful." she said truthfully and with a lazy smile. "Think I got about enough sleep now." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 15:33 "Alors, dat's good to hear," Remy turned on his side, making Shade slide off his chest on her back, and leaned over for a kiss.

Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 15:38 Shade kissed him back, a thought appearing in her head. He had stayed here with her while she had been sleeping although he hadn’t appeared to be sleepy himself anymore. She thought back at the times she had stayed at his place already and found that his usual behavior would have been to get up earlier as soon as he felt awake, to bustle around the place maybe, she couldn’t really tell, but to come back later to wake her up. This time however, he had stayed in bed, awake, letting her sleep. That was something new, she noticed. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 15:42 Kissing her tenderly, Remy pulled the sheet that covered them and was now tucked between them, upwards, moving closer to Shade and sliding one of his legs between her legs. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 15:44 Feeling completely content and relaxed after sleeping in, Shade smiled into the kiss and slung her arms around Gambit’s neck drawing him a little closer. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 15:55 Shifting a bit to lie on top of her, Gambit held her head with one hand, stroking her tongue with his. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 15:59 Feeling too comfortable to even think about taking initiative right now, Shade simply gave in to enjoying his kiss and the touch of his skin against hers, letting her tongue dance across his mouth in tender strokes. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 16:08 Breaking off the kiss, Remy planted the next one on Shade's cheek, then on her jawline, and moved lower to her neck. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 16:14 Shade stretched a little under him, leaning back her head to give him better access while one of her hands trailed soft patterns down Gambit’s back, the other reaching higher for his hair. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 16:20 Remy traced the length of Shade's neck with his lips, then went down to her collarbones, while one of his hands traveled absently down Shade's side and to her stomach. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 16:24 Shade shifted a little to lean in to his touch. She raised her head a little to move her head and kiss his temple affectionately, her one hand still entangled in his hair. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 17:17 Gambit continued to kiss Shade lower down her chest, then kissed her breast and took the nipple between his teeth, biting it gently. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 17:23 Shade let out a little gasp at that, the careful grip of his teeth sending an almost electric sensation across her skin. Her hand on his back stopped drawing and added a little more pressure, then trailed down his spine slowly. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 17:32 Remy teased her nipple with his lips and tongue for a while, duplicating his movements with fingers on the other nipple. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 17:37 Biting her bottom lip and closing her eyes, Shade arched her body upwards and into his touch a little. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 17:48 Remy moved lower, kissing the soft hollow of Shade's abdomen below her ribs, while his hands were still caressing her breasts. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 17:55 His kisses were soft, his movements tender. Shade understood that Gambit was intent on keeping this slow and did not have any objections against it. She opened her eyes, watching him and reached to twirl a strand of his hair between her fingers. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 18:03 Gambit made a circle of kisses over her belly, narrowing the circle at her bellybutton. His hands went down her thighs and up again, thumbs stroking the insides of her thighs, then he raised his eyes at her and smiled mischievously.
"Breakfast?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 18:11 For a moment, she just looked at him, perplexed. Then Shade burst into laughter, grabbed for a pillow and beat it across his head playfully. "Meanie." she chuckled. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 18:13 Snickering, Remy winced, not making too many attempts to avoid the pillow of justice which he obviously deserved. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 18:19 Shade beat it across his head once more, then dropped it. "I already know when I’ll get hungry for some random food all of a sudden." she said smirking. "Hope the breakfast’s worth it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 18:48 "Dieu, you're so easy to play..." Remy shook his head with a smirk, resuming his kisses. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 18:50 Shade concentrated, not allowing herself to give in to what he was doing for a moment. "Does that mean no breakfast?" she asked in feigned disbelief. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 19:02 "Aside from p'raps a healthy doze of proteins, nope," Remy said before kissing her below the bellybutton. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 19:08 Shade chuckled a little. "Ah, I’ll see." she said before leaning back again. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 19:12 Grinning inwardly, Remy let his tongue run the rest of the distance to the spot between Shade's legs, spreading them a bit apart with his hands. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 19:19 Tilting back her head, Shade let out a sigh, her one hand grabbing for the bedsheet, the other for Gambit’s shoulder, where she started to run the back of her fingers along the side of his head. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 19:24 Remy gave a long, tentative kiss to her tender folds before allowing his tongue take over once again, pushing it slowly inside. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 19:33 All the soft touching and kissing he was doing in these minutes had something deeply erotic that aroused Shade more than impulsive, rough love making would have done right now. Her eyes fluttering close she let out a moan, breathing out his name along with it, her skin starting to tingle slightly. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 19:41 Stroking her slowly in and out with his tongue, Remy used his hands to raise her hips a little so that he could reach as deep inside of her as possible. He closed his eyes, enjoying her taste. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 19:48 Her breath was quickening already along with her heartbeat as his tender kisses had made her skin over sensitive. As he raised her hips, Shade supported the movement willingly, trying to keep herself from bucking against him but restraining herself instead to take in the sensations of his slow movements. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 19:49 Warming her with his hot breath, Remy continued moving his tongue in her with ever-increasing speed, using his lips to caress the outside of her feminine folds. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 19:56 Shade could feel herself twitch slightly under him when his tongue hit the most sensitive spots inside her. Her head started to spin slightly and the warmth of the morning sun on her skin only added to the feeling. She dug he fingers into the bed sheets and moaned again. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 20:03 Gambit pushed his tongue inside of her with more intensity, already knowing by the sounds Shade was making where to press to get the most pleasure for her. He held her hips firmly. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 20:07 The way he held her made it near impossible for Shade to move her hips which made things almost a torture for the moment as it gave her little opportunity to faster reach the orgasm her body was already screaming for. Clenching and unclenching her inner muscles slightly, seeking release, Gambit’s treatment soon became too much and she came with an outcry. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 20:15 Moving his lips against her with final forceful strokes, Remy finished her off completely and rested his head on her thigh, panting a little. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 20:19 Shade let herself sink back for a moment, recovering, before she propped on her elbows, then in a sitting position, not shifting her legs but just letting him rest where he was. She used one hand to stroke his hair, using the other to keep herself propped up. "Might sound cliché but you’re awesome, did I ever tell you that?" she asked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 20:29 "You didn't," Remy smiled at her. "Even if it's a cliché, it's very nice to hear it." Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 20:31 Shade looked at him, chuckling a little. "I didn’t? Geez, what’s gotten into me?" she wondered continuing to stroke his hair. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 20:37 "It's awright, chere, I don' expect you to have used all your vocabulary at me already," Remy got on all fours and crawled over to lean above her, lowering his lips to almost touch hers. "Ya know I'm havin' troubles findin' words sometimes, too." Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 20:43 Shade smiled at him. "And that’s a very nice thing to hear, too." she said not sure whether his words were intended only in a sexual way. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 20:51 Remy smiled, touching her lips with his gently. "If you feel you don't get your fair share of compliments from me, jus' feel free to kick me for it."

Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 20:58 "Oh no." Shade said, kissing him briefly, then looked at him again. "I feel like I get a good share of them. Compliments are not just spoken ones after all." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:03 "Dat really sound like you're comfortin' yourself, cheri," Remy laughed. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:08 Shade grinned at him. "No, I’m not." she insisted. "I’m perfectly fine with your kinds of compliments." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:11 "Good," Remy nodded before pressing his lips to hers in another kiss. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:15 Gambit was still leaning above her so there was some space between their bodies. Shade made use of this and while kissing him, let her hands roam across his chest and downwards tracing the outlines of his ribs with her fingertips. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:23 Remy enjoyed their kiss for a few long moments before pulling back and getting up. "I'll go take a shower," he informed her. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:25 "Okay." Shade said, propping up on her elbows. "I could raid your fridge and see if there’s a decent breakfast around." she suggested feeling hungry. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:27 "Bon chance," Remy winked as he walked off to the shower. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:29 Shade chuckled and swung her legs out of the bed. Not bothering to look for her clothes as she would take a shower later anyways, she walked over into the kitchen and opened the fridge. "Bon chance..." she muttered. He had been right, not too much to be found in there, but she got out a couple of eggs, butter and jam. Toast was easily to be found as well so she decided to go for some scrambled eggs and heated a pan. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:34 After taking a quick cold shower and shaving, Remy slung a towel around his hips and walked to the kitchen. He wrapped one arm around Shade's waist and kissed her on the neck briefly. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:36 She tossed him a glance and smiled. "I know it doesn’t really look like it, but it’s supposed to be scrambled eggs." she said. "Like some?" Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:38 "Mais non, looks quite like it," Remy said, studying the contents of the pan. "I'd love some." Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:40 "Fine." Shade said with a content smile and got two plates for them, them. Putting the eggs onto them, she handed him one. "There you go. Good, useful proteins." she grinned. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:47 "Mon dieu!" Remy exclaimed happily. "Even I got some!" He hit the button on the coffee maker, switching it on, and dropped a few spoons of ground coffee into it before sitting down at the table. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:51 "Yeah." Shade said. "And it’s extra good because it was cooked by a neckid cook." She took her plate and sat down as well, grabbing for a toast. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 21:56 Remy beamed. "Gotta be an aphrodisiac, den," he nodded and started to eat. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 21:58 Shade glanced at him and grinned before helping herself to some jam. "So you got any plans for today?" she asked randomly. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:02 "Non," Remy said, "jus' go to de Club an' get some bar work done already. You?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:04 "Same here." Shade said picking up some egg with her fork. "Getting some work done." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:09 "What kind of work do teachers do in June?" Remy wondered, sending a piece of egg into his mouth. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:11 "Prepare project work so they don’t have to waste their times correcting boring, standardized class tests." Shade said. ((Interesting.... he’s an artist...he made an omlet out of scrambled eggs *is majorly impressed*)) Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:16 "So you'll be busy all summer long?" Remy asked. He got up and walked to the coffee maker to pour the coffee into cups. Normally he would prepare coffee himself, but today he was too lazy to do it. (( oops, false friend... *goes to correct* in Russian it's all "omlet" )) Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:19 "Nope." Shade said. "There are still summer holidays and all." She pulled one leg towards her and bit into her toast. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:27 "Dat's good to hear," Remy said. He placed her cup of coffee and sugar in front of her and sat down again. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:29 "Yeah." Shade agreed. She dropped the sugar into the coffee. "I was thinking about maybe getting down to North Carolina for a few days. My parents might be delighted to know I’m not dead." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:36 Remy glanced up at her, smearing his toast with jam. "When was deir last update?" he asked, smirking. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:41 "I phoned them..." Shade said, trying to remember when that had been. "in February maybe? Well, and then I guess they’ll have gotten the postcard already." She felt her bad conscience nag on her when she talked. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:46 "One of de Tunisian ones?" Remy asked. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 22:48 Shade nodded. "Yes." she said. "One of them was for them, the other for Rogue, the third I promised to the Prof." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 22:59 "Dey might start wonderin' whether you've moved since your last call," Remy said. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 23:02 Shade shrugged. "I guess they wouldn’t." she said. "They know it was a holidays post card, but I guess it’d be just fair to drop by again..." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 23:08 "Definitely," Remy nodded. He visited his father and Tante Mattie much more often than that, but decided not to jump to any conclusions because of that. All families were different. "Are you close wit' 'em?" Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 23:11 Shade nodded. "Yeah." she said. "Always got along really well with them, but... I don’t know... after what happened in August I... I don’t know I just got my stuff and ran off." Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 23:23 So they had lost both children at the same time, Remy sighed inwardly. "It's about time you returned," he said with a small smile. Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 23:31 Shade looked at him, suddenly feeling sad. She had been thinking about herself so much, things had gone so quickly that the first thing she had thought about had been to run. And she had run so far that she had toppled into a completely new world, abandoning home, throwing herself into the Brotherhood and when she quit, she had almost grown strange to her old life. Suddenly she felt no longer hungry and sat down her toast. What had she done to them? She knew how they were, they had to be sick with worry. She nodded, looking at her plate. "God, how could I be so selfish?" she whispered more to herself. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 23:38 Remy noticed that his words triggered a strong commotion inside of her. He hadn't meant to linger on the painful subject, but had thought that it would be hypocritical to just change it, speaking about the weather or something. Maybe she needed to talk about it. "You were scared, prob'ly," he supposed. "People think first of all of self-defense when dey're frightened." Posted by Shade on Jun 11, 2007, 23:45 Shade nodded and glanced at him. It was coming back again, she could feel it, the memories pressing back to the surface. "I’ve never been more scared in my life." she said, her voice low. "I just.... dashed into my bedroom, ripped some clothes out of the closet, didn’t even take my cell phone, just my money I had and ran off...Jimmy had told me about Xavier’s days ago. Had told me how cool that would be. It was the only place that came to my mind. I thought if they found us there, in my apartment, they might know where my parents lived and if I ran back there I would run into a trap." She couldn’t hold it back, the words just flowed. Posted by Gambit on Jun 11, 2007, 23:51 Remy reached over and put his palm over her hand. "I think it was a wise thing to do," he said and meant it. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 0:02 Somehow she managed a little smile. "Yeah." she said. "I guess it was the only thing I could do." Shade noticed that what she had just told him, she had never told anyone. Rogue knew about Jimmy, but she had never talked about that night although she had only scratched the surface right now. Magneto knew about Jimmy as well and he had asked about him but what she had told him had been about her brother in general, what he had been like... She felt she had just dropped another weight from her soul by loudly thinking about how things had happened back then and she felt very grateful for that. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 0:11 "Do you think it's safe to return now?" Remy asked, trying to be very cautious about it. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 0:15 "I don’t know." Shade said honestly. "I have no idea who they were, they were masked. But as I broke off contact almost completely and at once... I think it is. I will use my powers when I visit them." Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 0:27 Remy thought that it was a rather sick thing for the murderers to do, and a cowardly as well, if there were several of them and masked. But then, hate crimes often happened that way. All based on fear. He decided to say that to Shade. "Ya know, dey be probably just as afraid of you," he said, trying not to sound too deep about it. It was more of a statistical fact, not something he was making up just to encourage her. "Which don' make them less dangerous, of course... Sorry, I guess I ain't helpin'." Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 0:35 "No..." Shade said quickly. "No, you’re helping pretty much right now, you know... talking about that helps in a way." She pulled her legs closer. "Some months ago they would’ve done good to be afraid." she said honestly. "Guess it was better for them to mask themselves. If I had recognized them..." she shook her head, her thoughts completing the sentence ?... I would have tracked them down.?

Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 0:41 Gambit felt the need to do something to help, but didn't know what and what for. "Still thinkin' about revenge?" he asked, though his guess was she wasn't anymore. He knew he could plot a revenge for years, for decades if necessary, but she was very different from him - at his best guess, if anything, she had taken her need to avenge her brother to a different level by now. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 0:47 Shade shook her head and absent mindedly played her finger along the rim of her coffee cup. "No." she said. "I joined the Brotherhood for revenge. I left it when I came to the conclusion that my brother would not have wanted me to go that way." She looked at him. "He was quite a bit younger than me, twelve and he ... kind of looked up to me and at some point I just knew that this wouldn’t make things better and he wouldn’t want me to." Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 1:02 Twelve? Remy was shocked. He had expected them to have been a few years' difference, but a twelve-year boy... He felt even worse at that. "Teachin' at Xavier's makes a much better impression," he said seriously. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 1:07 Shade nodded seriously. "I had to make a decision at some point. I’m not sure but I think Xavier knew about my Brotherhood connections before I told him. I’d been with them since my first week at the Institute... I was never involved in any... activities but I had my place at the Lair, right under his nose." And oh had she felt bad about that at times. She straightened up " I made the right decision. He forgave me at once." She was still impressed with this man’s willingness to give her a second chance. There had been too many at the mansion she would have betrayed in the long run. ((Nighty night. )) Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 11:48 "Prof is a very forgivin' man..." Remy said. "But when it comes to you, I'd forgive you, too, 'cause you don't seem like a Brotherhood type t' me so I'd just knew it wouldn' have worked out in de long run..." He smiled and winked at her. "You'd freak out de moment deir 'activities' began." Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 12:46 Shade smiled back, leaning her chin on the knee of the leg she had pulled to herself. "Guess you’re right." she said. "I tumbled in ... glad I tumbled myself out in time." Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 13:04 Remy finished his toast and coffee. "Want a ride to de mansion?" Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 13:08 Shade furrowed her brow, feigning deep thought. "Take an overcrowded bus....get a ride on Gambit’s bike.... uh, difficult, I’ll have to think about that while I take a shower." she said jokingly while getting up to head towards the bathroom. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 13:18 Remy got up and caught her around the waist, pulling her to him. "Thanks for de breakfast, cheri," he said, kissing her lightly. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 13:25 Shade smiled at him and returned the kiss. "You’re very welcome." she said. She found it a nice thing by him to say thanks for this as she often felt she had a lot to be thankful for herself. He mostly paid when they were out anywhere together and didn’t seem to mind about it, but it meant a lot to her. "Thanks to you too." she therefore said from impulse. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 13:27 "Moi, what for?" Remy laughed. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 13:30 Shade shrugged a little. "I felt like saying it." she said, turning in his arms to look at him. "I think you deserve a ‘thank you? now and then." Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 13:35 "Yeah, prob'ly I do if Shade thinks so," Remy laughed again. He kissed her on the cheek and let her go. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 13:41 Shade tossed him a grin across her shoulder and headed off for the shower. She exited the bathroom again after a few minutes after showering and brushing her teeth. She had found the toothbrush Gambit had given her weeks ago. In her underwear she walked over into the bed room where she had left her summer trousers and top the day before when they had changed before going to the club and got dressed. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 13:53 Gambit stood by the window in his jeans, working with his cellphone. He didn't like the idea of Belladonna knowing his number, and even though it was a piece of cake for her to find it out through Lynch, his intermediary, he still preferred to put some distance in it for her. He sent his new number by a message to those few whom he wanted to actually know it. "I got a new phone number," he informed Shade when he noticed her walk in. "Just sent it to you." Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 13:59 As far as she could tell, the phone he had in his hand was the one he had used up till now. Maybe he changed his number now and then? It would fit to his secrecy, Shade thought. "Thanks." she said, getting out her own cell phone, checking the message he had sent her. "Keeping off stalking girls?" she joked, knowing that he would most probably not give his cell phone number to a girl he had just met. He had only given it to her after some three weeks. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 14:08 "A stalkin' wife," Remy replied, setting a function that hid his phone number when calling. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 14:19 "Oh." she said. "Guess stalking random girls would be easier to handle." She didn’t mean it in any offending way, she just stated a random fact by saying so. Shade said down on the bed, watching Gambit while he finished what he was doing. For a brief moment she wondered who she was, what she looked like, but chased away the thought. She remembered what he had told her about his wife back in Tunisia. She still loved him he thought. Oh get off it Shade, a voice in her head told her and she inwardly rolled her eyes at herself. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 14:23 "Much, much easier," Remy agreed. He put his cellphone in his pocket and walked over to Shade, kneeling down in front of her. (( there are no chairs in his place, only in the kitchen. It's probably the bed she's sitting on. )) Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 14:27 "I bet." Shade agreed, smiling at him when he knelt down. At once she reached out to tousle his hair, letting her fingers run through it. She so loved doing this. "If ever you cut your hair really short I’ll be seriously mad with you." she said. ((*changes* )) Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 14:29 Remy beamed at her. It was a nice thing for her to point out, he knew very little about what she actually liked about him, other than the general stuff. "I feel tempted to try," he said. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 14:35 "Oh, please don’t." she exclaimed. "Would be such a shame, it’s so much fun tousling about it." Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 14:49 "Okay," Remy kept beaming. "I won't, I respect fun." Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 15:12 He looked like a school boy when he grinned like that Shade thought, grinning herself. It was those moments when he beamed at her like that when he seemed farthest away from his secrecy and sometimes almost pessimistic attitudes. Just like when they had been at that beach. When he had done the fireworks for her he had looked exactly like that little, cheerful boy. "Good." she said chuckling a little, amused by how much her simple statement seemed to cheer him. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 15:15 Remy spread her knees a little to get closer to her and, holding her around the waist, leaned his forehead on her shoulder. "Shade, Shade..." he said. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 15:23 Shade leant her chin against his shoulder and hugged her arms around him. "Hm..?" she made, not even sure if he intended to add anything. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 15:25 "Nothin'," Remy smiled, hugging her. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 15:28 Shade smiled to herself having guessed an answer like that already. She enjoyed his sudden impulse for closeness just for the sake of a hug and closed her eyes, shifting her head a little, breathing at his neck. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 15:40 Remy closed his eyes, standing there still on his knees for a few moments. He felt emotions for her rise inside of him, but this time he didn't fight them back. He needed it. A thought went through his mind that perhaps he should tell her at least something about it, not leave her completely unaware of what he was going through - she would most definitely enjoy being trusted like that. But he decided to leave it at rest for some more time. He moved his hands along her back a little and pulled back, looking at her. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 15:48 The silence between them was in no way awkward but something deeply natural and comfortable. It seemed to Shade there was no real need for words at the moment and for some reason this filled her with a sheerly unlimited, deep rooted feeling of being exactly where she wanted to be. She could think of no other place she would rather want to be in that moment. When he pulled back she caught him looking at her and smiled. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 16:00 "Let's go," Remy leaned in for a short kiss. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 16:02 She returned the kiss, then kissed him on the cheek bone. "Okay." she said before she got up. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 16:12 Remy got up, put on a T-shirt with a "Don't waltz" sign on it and went over to the door to put his sneakers on. (( *felt like adding an X-Men Ultimate reference* )) Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 16:26 Shade collected her skirt and halter top in the living room and stuffed them into her handbag which was just a tiny bit too small for that so part of it necessarily hung out. With a shrug, she slung the bag over her shoulder and put on her sandals. Posted by Gambit on Jun 12, 2007, 16:41 Gambit gave her a weird look. "I got a carrier compartment on my bike, if you want," he said, opening the door for her. Posted by Shade on Jun 12, 2007, 16:53 "Oh." Shade gave up trying to stuff the other end of her top into the bag. "Okay." she agreed and stepped out.

(( Move from: A hotel in Westchester; And one more thing... ))
The elevator took ages to get to the 18th floor where Gambit's apartment was. The reason behind it was that Gambit hit too many irrelevant elevator buttons before he finally pressed '18'.
Finally they got to his apartment door, and Gambit got his keys out of his bag and started opening the door. "Mark de time," he told Shade, "I'm jus' curious."

Shade had refrained from pressing the elevator button for him. He would most likely see it as patronising and she didn´t want that. He seemed intent on getting things done himself and she wouldn´t help him if she aided him on everything although he knew she would step in when he asked for it.
Arriving at the door, Shade nodded and glanced at her watch briefly. She was curious herself and hoped he would handle it halfway the way he expected it to go - which probably didn´t mean much as he tended to be rather pessimistic there.

The three locks on his door weren't just "insert the key-turn-open"; they required inserting a key to a specific length where it fitted the mechanism of the lock and only then could be turned. It meant his apartment could only be accessed either by successfully opening the locks, by blowing the door off its hinges, which was a formidable task in itself, or by getting through the windows. Right now, Gambit realized that opening the door with the keys was just as possible as the other two options.
"Hope ye're not too hungry," he said to Shade, sighing as he went to one knee by the door. "It will take time..."

Shade shook her head as she leant against the wall. "No." she said. It was rather lack of sleep than hunger that was having a slight effect on her now and for a moment she felt almost drowsy. She let herself slide down the wall, letting her hands losely hang over her knees. "don´t let me distract you."

"Rather, entertain me," Gambit suggested. "Dis is jus' mechanical work; jus' hands, no mind apart from my memory of de insides of dese locks."

"Oh. Okay." Shade said, stretching her legs, thinking. "I could rhyme... bad idea, or sing, even worse. Or I could tell you weird stuff." she shrugged "such as... oh I didn´t even tell you that yet, Rogue´s gonna marry the human zippo."
