"Awright," Gambit nodded at Shade's response. "See ya later, then," he ran his hand affectionately once down her bare back and went away about his business.

Shade gave him a smile and looked after him when he turned around, before making her way through the crowd towards the dancefloor. There were quite some girls in rather flimsy outfits, none of them looked familiar, same with the guys. She pushed past someone in some kind of sci fi monster outfit who was talking to a girl with violet hair, but didn´t pay any particular attention to anyone in particular.

Betsy raised a curious eyebrow. "I don't know if you're a candidate tonight," she said, "As impressive as that costume is, it's not exactly sexy, you would have to appeal to my other sensibilities." She watched him as she sipped her drink suggestively. Suppressing the urge to burst into laughter, Lance pointed one clawed hand at Betsy. "You're on," he announced. "And I know where your bedroom is, so hiding is futile."

Elias had taken his beer and walked over to one of the still empty bar stools, turning so that he could face the growing crowd , an elbow leant against the bar top casually. He liked to get an overview over crowds first, before mingling and who knew, maybe there would be some interesting faces.

Suppressing the urge to burst into laughter, Lance pointed one clawed hand at Betsy. "You're on," he announced. "And I know where your bedroom is, so hiding is futile." Betsy laughed, even though she hadn't been entirely joking. Though Betsy had intended to browse the available livestock, she had no problem ending the night with Lance... again. At least he was good at what he did. "You're talking to a girl that has the ability to be invisible about hiding," she said. "Why don't you go scare the unsuspecting masses? I could use the entertainment."

::Odin was not much of a "party" person, but he had decided to come down to the Hellfire Club for the party regardless; the Hellfire Club easily constituted two-thirds of his off-work social activities. Laurie and he had both seen the posters for it, and they had agreed to go together. Because he did not want her to be uncomfortable or to possibly get lost, he had met her at Grand Central before they went to the Club together. Nobody looked at him twice, because he wore a trench coat over his costume, and the weather was gray enough. His options for costumes were limited given his build and his reliance on his glasses - those could not be taken off for more than a minute without rendering him essentially blind, not something he enjoyed. His Superman costume was beneath his trench coat, letting him play the role of Clark Kent until he decided to take it off. When they arrived at the club, the party was in full swing, and he immediately asked,:: "Do you want something to drink?"

While people were not giving Odin second glances, Laurie was picking up the slack. She hadn't worn anything over her costume and walked next to him without inhibition; as if she didn't even realize she was wearing a costume. The combination of the outfit and the carefree attitude, people were staring. Inside the club, she nodded in response to Odin's question. "A margarita, please," she said with a smile.

::Odin gave a nod a pulled a twenty out of his wallet. Approaching the bar, he ordered a margarita for her, and a Black Devil for himself. Once he had the drinks, he brought them back over to her. His tracking sense was abuzz as it always was when he was in proximity to the club, and he knew that most of his coworkers were here, which amused him.
Handing the margarita to her, he then took a sip of his drink.:: "You know, you match someone else here."

As he walked, he caught up with a woman in a Wonderwoman outfit; checked her out and walked faster, outstriding her, then turned around and roared at her, raising his claws in a gesture that resembled a wave of hand.

Betsy watched Lance and laughed as he accosted one of the first people he saw. She looked around to see if there were any interesting possibilities. For the moment, she saw none.

Depending on her mood, Shade might have reacted to this with some kind of half witty, half sassy response, but she was in a rather good mood right now and therefore, as long as whoever was under that mask didn´t get any too funny ideas, didn´t mind a little fun. She grinned, doing another step forwards before stopping. "Look at that," she said. "Do I know whoever might be hiding under that mask, stranger?" It was a justified question, and a rather clever one, too, she thought. If she really knew that person, he would reveal himself maybe and she would be spared the awkward, made up explanation of why she didn´t recognise him.

After leaving Shade, Gambit went upstairs to take a look at the lounges and the gallery on the second floor. He stopped at the banister, leaning on it and looking over the main hall at the illustrous costumed crowd.

"I can't say I'm terribly surprised," she replied. She'd noticed the red head wearing the same costume. "I mean, when you hear sci fi, isn't Star Trek one of the first things you think of?"

Lance stopped, for a second seriously considering Wonderwoman's question, then shook his head. "But you might," he said, accompanying his response with an evil laugh.
