Gambit did have the management people taking care of organizing the Club's events, but this one he wanted to see to personally. He didn't know how much longer they had left of carefree party time until the Prophecy would start unfolding, and also he wanted to make sure that it would be a clean and safe event without any trouble - he and Shade agreed that she could go there, but he still preferred to make sure he had it covered. The club's staff were all dressed in sexy costumes according to the sci-fi theme of the evening, and he was pleased to see that the patrons tried their best, too. The club filled quickly. The bar and many other spots in the club were illuminated with neon glows; the party set off nicely. Not being too fancy or creative about his own appearance, Gambit wore a Paul Atreides costume as he entered the Club. --------------------------------------- (( OOC: Mention or show your costume and have fun! The thread will continue for as long as is needed. Moderate mischief and trouble are allowed; if anyone wishes to leave NPC posts about the club's events, feel free to do so, only coordinate it with me first. The illusion will be created in a separate thread, which allows for the difference in time between the illusion and the real world. ))

Shade had had quite some fun picking a costume and in the end had insisted that , even though not strictly speaking ´sci fi´, the one she picked was close enough to the theme to be acceptable. It had been a while since she had last been to a party, back at college, or so she remembered, and therefore she had been looking forward to it, even though being around too many people still made her a bit anxious, especially with people she might know and not recall. She entered the club together with Gambit, wearing a Wonderwoman outfit, the place already abuzz with a little crowd, music setting a steady beat which she felt her body move along to as soon as they walked in.

Emily had never gone to a party at the Hellfire Club. All of her visits to the place had been limited to innocent daytime soft drinks in one of its corners. But as she had been growing more confident lately, she agreed to Aedan's suggestion of going to the costumed party and even to choose a bolder costume over Padme Amidala's white onepiece she'd first wanted to go for. They arrived separately; while waiting for him, Emily walked to the bar to get herself a drink.

Typhoid hadn't felt much like partying, not lately. But the idea of it, and the fact that everyone else was going, was intriguing. And she could never pass up a costume. She wore a Star Trek costume, but it was a sexier take on it, something she'd seen while browsing online. The red of the uniform might normally have clashed with her hair, but she'd pulled her hair up off her shoulders and so it was fine, and the pants kept her from being too nervous at exposed skin. She spotted Gambit around, and recognized a few other heartbeats, but it appeared the party was just getting started. She didn't know if Pietro had decided to come or no; he often hated crowds. So she headed towards the bar for a drink.

To Betsy, any costume party was a solid excuse to dress like a prostitute. The outfit, (if you could even call it that) which she'd chosen was sci fi in the sense that it was shiny and kind of futuristic. As she entered the club, someone asked her what she was supposed to be and she snapped, "Your mom... in space." She was completely comfortable being so exposed in public and she walked casually toward the bar, perched on a stool, and crossed her legs. She ordered a drink and, while waiting for it, turned the stool around and faced the crowd, her elbows behind her on the bar.

Just as he'd told Golem, Kevin decided to go to the party at the Hellfire Club, just to unwind, he'd needed it for a long time already. Mark had been left with the babysitter, and Kevin had the evening to himself. For a start, he went as Gigolo Jane, knowing he'd change the outfit and the appearance at any time later in the evening if he needed it. He spotted Gambit and decided to keep an eye on him for a while. Gambit had been mentioned in the Prophecy; even on a relaxed evening, Kevin was unable to throw work stuff out of his head.

Shade grinned. True, things hadn´t been easy recently, not with being worried about all that had happened and her memory still returning, spitting out random bits of memory that coule either be nice or hard to deal with, especially if it came in bigger quantities. "Oh, I´m sure I will." she said. "I´m bound to, with such a short skirt, right?"

Having sat down at the bar and ordered her drink, Emily looked around and noticed Typhoid. Her uncomfortable shyness around Pietro's girlfriend had eased at the same time with herself dropping the hopeless crush on him and finding herself a soulmate, and so she decided she could go for a friendly chat.
"Hello Ty," she said with a small smile. "How are things?"

Lorna had a hard time finding a costume she was comfortable with but still fit the bill for sci fi. A lot of women's costumes looked really uncomfortable, but she hadn't wanted to go as Agent Scully or someone else who just wore a shirt and tie. She'd finally settled on a reproduction of a Tron costume, because white matched any color, including that of her hair. She looked around for people when she came in, and finally concluded that she only recognized Betsy. Heading her general direction, she tripped on her heel, and decided that standing next to the empty table she caught herself on was a better plan for the moment.

Elias entered the club a few minutes later. Him and Kevin had not agreed on going together or anything of the like, but he guessed if the other man was here, he would spot him sooner or later. He was wearing a jedi outfit that he had thought to be kind of cool, but that, he was sure, would turn out quite a bit too warm for the place in the long run. Letting his gaze travel around the place he spotted few faces he knew. Some had been here when the prophecy was announced, but he hardly knew any names. He made his way towards the bar and ordered a beer.

"Yeah," Gambit grinned. Earlier in the evenin, he'd already told Shade in very direct terms that he greatly appreciated and absolutely adored the short skirt. The cleavage, too. "And if someone starts hittin' on ya, drag 'em along, we'll have a threesome."

Ty turned to the blue haired girl when she gave her greeting with a small smile. She knew that Aqua had a friendship with Pietro, but not much beyond that. "Hey," she said, lifting her drink to Aqua in greeting. "It's been a while."

"It has, yes," Emily nodded. With a grateful nod, she took her drink from the bartender - as the flyer had promised, it was, indeed, glowing, but she tried not to think about its components. "I mostly hang around the lab, so I don't see people much."

Shade suppressed a snort, but gave him a slightly disappointed look instead. "What? You expect there to be just one?" she teased, giving him a small nudge against the arm. There were some...memories by now that made her guess he was only partly joking and probably would not say no to something like that, but then again ... this was Shade. And Shade begged to differ with him there.
