Shade didn´t know what she had expected. She had been wondering whether she was part of what Gambit had in mind there, but right now she couldn´t quite fathom what he was on about. She shot him a brief glance, suppressing a look that too obviously said ´Huh?!´

Kevin morphed into Shade, even keeping the Wonderwoman costume. "Would you be able to tell between us?" he asked, sounding also like her.

Shade narrowed her eyes slightly, feeling somewhat weirded out. "Oh I am sure he would," she drawled, feeling somewhat challenged, raising an eyebrow.

"Not bad at a first glance," Gambit agreed. "What 'bout de iris pattern? Fingerprints? All dis more tricky stuff dat only a metamorph can do an' not just an actor wit' a well-paid make-up artist?"

Morph thought about it. "It takes some training," he (or, at this moment, she) said. "I might be out of practice, though I used to do it. Not on a DNA level, of course, and my blood type will remain what it is. Would you happen to have the means to test it - take the fingerprints, I mean?"

"Shouldn' be much of a problem," Gambit remarked. He looked around and grabbed a glass that stood nearby. "De original Miss Shade, if I may please have your hand for a second?" he held his hand palm up for her.

Shade was feeling torn, torn between being curious, intrigued and somewhat strangely playful, possibly the result of being faced with herself. She was briefly considering to do something funny such as ´make a face´ by vanishing half her skull or something like that, something she had in the meanwhile redescovered she was capable of such a thing and would have liked to see if Morph could imitated that as well. But she didn´t, mostly because she did not want to make anyone throw up who happened to watch, but also because Gambit distracted her from it. So she merely raised her hand and placed it in Gambit´s palm, guessing what he was planning to do.

Gambit breathed on the glass and rubbed it against the seat's cloth to more or less remove any previous fingerprints, then fixed Shade's thumb between his fingers and rolled the glass over it.
"Your turn, Shade's stand-in," he held out his hand in the same way for Morph, expecting him to obey.

"Not so fast," Kevin said. He held his palm up towards Shade. "If you touch me," he told her, "I can try to copy your fingerprints." Technically, he could do it with any touch at all but hand-to-hand was the most polite thing to do.

Shade narrowed her eyes slightly. She had been running through the destroyed city with that guy, they had touched there, him grasping her hand to pull her away. But there was something, the spark of mistrust in situations like that which had not been there before her amnesia, before Manuel´s deception. She held out her hand but kept a slight distance, raising an eyebrow. "And how do I know you´re not about to completely steal my identity?" she prompted, her voice sounding rather light but there was hesitation that someone who knew her well would interpret as waryness.

Kevin/Shade placed his hand against Shade's. He used to be able to copy people's details quickly and easily but had fallen out of practice. Then he allowed Gambit to take his falsified fingerprint and then resumed his normal appearance.

" 'Cause I'm here an' I wouldn've let 'im do anythin' of dat kind if I'd known dere been a chance he could?" Gambit asked while Kevin did what was necessary. He, however, watched the metamorph closely, being slightly wary of someone else copying Shade and the finer details of her appearance. He knew most metamorphs had a memory for those things, being able to recreate other people even after long periods of time passed.

Shade shared his wariness on this. Morph didn´t look like a bad guy, but neither had Manuel and even though she probably did the guy wrong in being slightly suspicious about him, she decided it was something that was necessary. Morph had mentioned a kid which added to the points on his ´good guy´ list, but this whole thing, the copying, the fingerprints, was somewhat weird and being faced with someone who looked like her in even the tinyest details, was rather weird.
"Can you copy my powers as well?" she asked, an eyebrow partly raised.

"No," Kevin said. "I'm not even sure what those are."
