This Couldn't Be More Unexpected (Closed)

Laura returned to the hotel room a half hour later cleaned up and dressed in a pair of black shorts with a white tank top. Her black boots were more noticeable now and were just below her knees. As she entered the room she looked around and didn't see the man. Heading toward the bathroom, she noticed he'd used the first aid kit and that the door to the bedroom was closed. Going up to it, she knocked before opening it. She stood in the doorway sort of asking if it was alright to come in or not without saying anything.

Michael heard the knock and looked at the door. Seeing the girl walk in he was surprised. Not only was he surprised to see her come back, he was surprised to see her dressed like that considering she didn't have any bags and she hadn't stayed in the room so how had she taken a shower and changed her clothes. "How did you.." He asked not exactly sure how to ask her what she'd done.

Laura walked in closing the door. "Broke in to someone's room while they were out" Laura had done it so many times in the past it wasn't much of a big deal. Besides her shirt was ripped and she needed a shower. It helped her to calm down. She walked over and sat on the window sill.

"Broke in!" Michael almost yelled but he was tired of fighting and it seemed she had done it before by the sound of her voice so he just let out a sigh. After a moment of silence and him turning his attention back to the ceiling he spoke calmly. "I'm sorry." He finally said it and for once in a long time meant it. "I shouldn't have assumed things about you when all I know about you is that your a mutant" He turned his head to look at her.

She looked down at her feet before looking up at him. Laura couldn't remember the last time someone had said sorry to her and wasn't being sarcastic. "We both only know that about each other" She said crossing her arms over her chest again. That and we both hate our selves Laura thought to herself.

"How bout we start over then?" He offered rolling over on his side to face her and using his arm to prop him up.

"Start over?" She asked raising an eyebrow giving him a skeptic look.

[Michael Kenyon]

"Yeah, I'm Michael" He told her giving her a slight smirk. "I recently became a mutant which is why I can't control my ability that well" He moved his hand showing her the electricity in it before closing his hand to stop it.

Laura moved off the windowsill. "Doesn't explain exactly why you hate mutants" She wasn't going to reveal anything about herself yet until she knew more about him.

A flash of Kylie came into his head along with the memory of attack her and then killing that guy. Michael turned away from her, his face turning cold. "They ruined my life,"

"And?" She asked moving around the bed to stand across from him and the empty side of the bed. Laura could tell there was more to the story. Humans had ruined her life but she didn't hate them. She only hated the ones that made her.

"And what?" He knew what the girl was fishing for but he couldn't, wouldn't share it. If she wasn't going to share her name or anything besides being a mutant then he wasn't going to.

"There's more to the story" Laura told him keeping her attention on him, not showing any emotion.

[Michael Kenyon]

"Your point being," He asked giving her the same cold glare. "You haven't even given me any information about you yet you expect me to just give away all my secrets, my feelings?" Michael then thought about something. "Why don't you tell me something, then I'll tell you something" He suggested. "And we keep going like that, so it's fare"

Laura glared at him. "Not going to happen" It was like they were playing a game of who would cave first. She crossed her arms over her chest again.
