::The cafe was small, unassuming, but they brewed a strong cup of coffee. Odin nodded as they approached.:: "That's the one."

She didn't wait for him to open the door; instead, she went forward and opened it herself, ducking inside after checking to make sure she wasn't going to run into anyone.

::Odin followed after her and entered the cafe. The air was strong with the scent of fresh brewed coffee, and he already looked forward to a cup.::

Rogue wasn't much for hot coffee, but cold coffee was usually all right. It looked like one of those dinky places with a serving counter and a bunch of small tables and chairs about the rest of the place, so she went up to the counter and ordered iced coffee.

::Odin was behind her in line, and ordered a black coffee with an espresso shot. His usual cashier wasn't there, but this wasn't his usual shift. After paying, he went to wait in the area where drinks were served.::

Rogue paid a little reluctantly- coffeehouse coffee was a luxury right now; she didn't ask the Professor for a stipend, and he hadn't offered. "So, if you don't mind me askin'," she said to Odin, once she joined him at the pickup area, "what do you do, anyways?" It was the time honored way of asking about a mutant's powers, since she already knew what he did for a living.

::A question without a technical frame of reference; Odin lived for those now. Of course, he inferred what she meant, and would give his coy, half-answer because he was more comfortable. To pretend he didn't know would lead to a more specific question, which he wished to avoid.:: "I sense mutation."

She blinked. "Oh." That had to be wierd, but it did explain why he'd kept a fairly good distance from her the entire time.

::That was one of the...more interesting reactions to Odin's disclosure of his powers, particularly with that benign ability. He spent a moment studying her over his coffee cup, and then spoke.:: "Not very impressive, I know."

She shrugged, then picked up her coffee as the barista set it down. "Not so much that as just...well, it's like me. I've got no power at all by myself alone. So ah suppose we're both equally not impressive."

"Your power is still your own," ::Odin said, although he knew what she meant. He had a strict view classification system he needed to keep his own power together.:: "But I know what you mean."

"Well, if that's how you look at it, then so's yours," she replied.

She sipped at her coffee. "Should we find a table?"

::Odin nodded at the suggestion. There were a few tables around, and he pointed at one, a silence query for objections.::
