"Probably better anyway. Last session I had with the X-Men wasn't exactly stellar." She chuckled a bit.

::Odin, neither an X-Man nor a party to their exploits, could not make a factual comment. He assumed she had been in Washington, as nearly everyone had, but he had nothing beyond belief and the barest assumptions to support such a conclusion. And particularly not to provide insight into what had happened to her specifically.:: "Fighting isn't for everyone."

"When you get chucked in the head with a brick, not really," she observed, trying to sound like she was giving sage advice and failing miserably.

::That did not sound like Alcatraz, not in the form of stories Odin had heard upon returning to New York nor from the news coverage. If it was...Piercefield had become more desperate since his encounter with her. Not that he could rule that out; she had been sadistic and insane.:: "That would put a damper on it, surely."

"At least in the Danger Room they don't allow you to get hurt...badly, anyways," she said, remembering bumps and bruises. It felt strange, talking about training, something she hadn't done in two years.

::Odin had heard stories, had spent enough time in the basement to explore, but had never used it.:: "I can't say I've ever experienced the 'Danger Room.'"

"Think live people that aren't really there. Holograms, if you're Star Trek inclined." She shrugged. "Ah don't know how it works."

"Yet you can still get injured?" ::This had piqued Odin's curiosity, the technology behind such a device.::

"Kind of. You can't blow up and die, but leapin' over broken walls and hiding from gunfire can get you some good twisted ankles and sore muscles," she replied.

::That fit Odin's conception of holograms more readily, and he nodded in comprehension. The injuries were self-inflicted, as opposed to caused by the holograms themselves.:: "That's the type of technology that should get patented."

She shrugged. "Ah guess. From the way he behaves ah don't think the Professor needs much help with money, so there's sort of no point to it."

::That was true; the man was obviously wealthy. But Odin thought in terms of patents and the market; it was the nature of his life before settling in Manhattan. As they continued down the street, they neared the cafe.:: "I suppose. It still sounds incredible."

Rogue laughed a little. "What would a superior force be without it's little gadgets that no one else has?"

"Dick Tracy," ::Odin replied, amused. Technology was key to staying one step ahead of the rest of the world, of course.::

She chuckled a little as they came to the doors of the cafe. Rogue stopped. "This the place you're talkin' about?" she asked, pointing.
