Kevin moved his face from behind the camera to glance at Elias. "You know," he said with a small sigh, "all things considered, our magazine might be shut down as mutant propaganda starting tomorrow, if the outcome of this thing is 'all mutants are bad'. So let's just not think about the worst. I still want to do some publishing stuff before it all goes down."

[Odin]

"I should have known," ::Odin called over his shoulder, and his sigh was far quieter. Didn't anyone else realize who the political opposition was? What he could try to do to them all? The Registration Act wouldn't be the last of their loss of rights.

The light was blinding, not only from the blonde girl's, but from Pyro's flames, and the heat was intense. However, he'd get through this, if not unscathed, than with minimal injury. The others were moving back, which would make this better, in a way:: "Try not to hurt her; she isn't using anything close to her power's potential, and I think she's a patsy."

[astral]

"Ok," she whispered, feeling nervous and clammy and just wishing she was somewhere safe. "You might want to close your eyes," she told him before she concentrated, brightening her glow so that it radiated out from their radius, spreading out to the nearby crowds and definitely bright enough to cause people to squint and close their eyes if they looked too long.

[Avalanche]

"Like what?" Lance wondered. "Running for my life? I'm not doing anything."

[Typhoid]

(Sorry if this is abrupt, but when all else fails...)

"Right," Ty replied, not really in mood to yell over the crowd at the moment. Instead, she came up and decked him one across the jaw, hard enough to hurt her hand. That wasn't the type of fighting she was accustomed to- but it least it'd get him to stop the ground shaking.

Logan came up behind Avalanche, just in time to see Ty punch him heavily across the jaw. "Glad I could help," he commented airily.

Closing his eyes as the light from Astral filled the air, John allowed his flames to slowly crowd. Squinting slightly, he tried to move them more into the crowd of chaotic mutants, hoping that they could get enough coverage, in order to move into a different position to attack.

[Husk]

"You should know by now, I don't hurt people unless I have to." Paige told Odin before closing her eyes for a moment as the sudden brightness coming from the girl. Opening her eyes again she tried to fight the light that was making her eyes hurt a bit as she moved closer towards the girl. She wasn't really sure what she was up against and it made her quite nervous.

Maya looked amongst the crowd and saw a green woman behind Lance. "Sh*t..." She murmured. And tried looking for the rest of her teammates. She had lost Siryn in the crowd a while ago. She could see John and Astral. But, no Lucy. She could only hope the girl was okay. She was the only human she could stand. She saw two people making their way towards John and Astral and she went around the protesters to get to them.

A few protesters pointed around saying sh*t about how this is what they spoke of and blah, blah, blah... Maya turned around. "Shut the f*ck up!" She yelled and punched one in the face before she looked back around to find Astral and John moving. She caught up to them, standing outside the circle of fire and squinting a bit, bring a hand up to her eyes from Astral's glow. "Your going to have some company soon." She informed them before she ran off to find Lance, see if he needed help.

[Typhoid]

Ty was holding her now throbbing hand as Wolverine came up behind Avalanche. "I know you do all you can Logan," she quipped.

[Odin]

"I know, but when a rhythm starts, it gets out of control. I'm going to try to distract him," ::Odin told her over his shoulder. His eyes were closed as well, but he could navigate around the mutants easily. They were almost upon Pyro and the other girl, and he forced his eyes open. He wouldn't be blinded, but the light would pain him regardless. Closer they came, and he called out to get Pyro's attention.:: "Weren't you at Alcatraz?"

[Avalanche]

The punch was so unexpected, especially from a chick, that Lance couldn't react to block it, so his head flew flying to the side and he doubled, nearly losing balance. Grabbing his jaw for a few seconds while light dimmed in his eyes, he then turned back to stare at her.

"Are you nuts, huh?!" he barked. Then, hearing another voice, he turned around to see a man standing behind him. He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, great, so what are you all going to do, beat a random guy to death?"

Logan watched as Avalanche wobbled around from the strike. "Somethin' like that," he said dryly, in a purposely off-hand manner before he joined in with Ty's attack and gave an upper cut of his own, that, if it made contact, was surely strong enough to lift him off his feet. "See, teamwork," he called to Ty like this was a casual brawl.

[Typhoid]

"Sad we couldn't learn this in the Danger Room," Ty remarked to Logan, seeing him clock Avalanche with one adamantium enhanced hand.

[Golem]

"If we make it sound like propaganda." Elias said, his arms losely hanging over his knees as he surveyed everything from a save distance. "guess there is a difference in praising what violence mutants are up to here and aiming for objectivity." Not that it would mind too much. "but I guess to some extent we´ll have to rely on the right people backing us up and the right persons to be elected to appreciate what we´re doing."
