::Odin finished with the fruit and then picked up the canned goods they had purchased, to put away with the rest, which he also tended not to use.:: "That's a possibility. So is the fact that your run-in was more interesting than you're giving it mention."

"Hey, she was the one who started the fight, not me. Can't you tell I'm so totally full of innocence," she said, joking at that as she batted her eyelids for effect.

::That gave Odin the information he had sought. A fight was certainly a reason for someone to be set off. The cupboard open, he began stacking cans.:: "A fight in the middle of the street?"

She turned, leaning against the counter and folding her arms. "Not a full fight, but near enough," she said. "She walked into me, I told her to watch where she was going, she went nutso."

::Odin assumed there were a few other shoves in there, back and forth. It was the impression he had of Paige, and which he was forming rapidly of Stacy. He also knew about the latter's abilities, which provided a possible piece of the puzzle as well.:: "And to calm her down, you used your powers, am I right?"

"Of course I did. I was trying to get to work, I didn't want a fight on the street with that psycho," she said, as this was the most obvious thing in the world.

::Odin knew that most people didn't care to have abilities used on them without consent; his life was evidence of that. They also weren't quite so laid back as he was to the use of powers.:: "The next time I invite her over, I'll make sure you're out."

"Please do," she said with a snort. "If she starts on at me again, I'll slap her one."

::That was something Odin would prefer to avoid for a variety of reasons. Firstly, he was fond of Paige. Secondly, he made his livelihood on reputation. Thirdly, he was understandably tense at the thought of mutants in a human justice system.:: "You did a good job keeping your hands off one another at the market."

"Probably because it was a busy area," she said casually. "We don't wanna do anything that gives off we're mutants, do we?"

"Some of us more than others," ::Odin replied, and shut the cupboard after he ran out of cans. Remaining in the bag were the bags of coffee grounds, and the six-pack of soda.::

"Just keep her out of my way," Stacy advised as she stepped forward to help him with the last few bits and bobs. Sweeping her green hair from her face, she leaned into the bagnto pull out when bag of coffee grounds, remembering its cupboard location and going to put it away.

"Don't get me involved," ::Odin retorted. This was a factor he hadn't considered yesterday, although he had a minimal social circle that he hadn't expected it to be a factor. He took the soda and put it in the back of the refrigerator, then rearranged his leftovers to better accommodate it. As with most altercations between mutants, he didn't want to take sides.::

"Not asking you to," she said, shutting the cupboard door with her hip. "But don't be stupid and try get us to be pally."

::Odin's fingers dug into the tinfoil of the sandwich he'd held while rearranging. He didn't do well with his intelligence called into question; he never had, as it was his greatest asset apart from the refined power of his abilities. His face was blocked by the door, and he quickly recovered himself, loosening his grip on the sandwich and putting everything back in order. He kept pleasant, his tone not sarcastic, but a shade less than humorous while citing example.:: "I don't learn life lessons from sitcoms. I don't lock people in small spaces to make them talk, and I don't need everyone I know to be friendly."
