The day was beautiful out, and Mystique decided to take advantage of it. Setting Abigail up in the sling, the two of them went outside to enjoy the fresh air. Abigail gurgled happily. Mystique bent down and picked up a daisy, showing it to Abby, but not letting her try and put it in her mouth.

Paige had decided to go out since it was such a nice day out, though it wasn't as warm as Paige was used to. Still, she wore a baby blue tank top and a pair of white jeans along with a pair of converse sneakers. Walking outside she glanced upwards, a smile present on her face. This had to be the warmest day yet, since she had been up here anyway. There was a subtle breeze blowing, carrying the smell of daises and other flowers that surronded the grounds.
Walking along, Paige smiled lightly when she saw a few kids playing kickball. Crossing her arms over one another she looked ahead to notice a girl who looked very familiar, with a baby. "Why does she look so familiar?" Paige thought to herself, brows furrowing slightly.

Hearing a noise, Mystique turned, seeing a student not too far, though she didn't know her name. "Hello," she said to her, smiling gently; her yellow eyes sparkled in the sunlight.

Paige's cheeks went slightly red when Mystique turned to look at her, "Um, hi." She said, still trying to figure out who this woman was and why she looked so familiar. "Cute baby, is she yours?" She asked before realizing how stupid she must've sounded. "I mean..." She trailed off, afraid she would make herself sound even more stupid.

((Girl? She's 35, lol))
She noticed the blush on the girl's cheeks immediately as she walked closer. Smiling, she nodded. "This is my daughter, Abigail," she said, angling the sling so that the student could see her smiling baby face.

((Oh leave me alone! I modified it.)) "Aw, she's adorable." Paige said, smiling brightly at the baby. She was used to young children, since she grew up in a large family. She then looked back up at the woman and suddenly realized who this person was, "Mystique..Isn't it?" She asked, surprised that the Professor would allow her here, after what she's done in the past.

"She's almost six months old," she said proudly. When the girl figured out her name, she dropped the daisy and held out her hand. "That's me," she said, nodding. "And you are?"

Paige put on a false smile when Mystique announced how old her daughter was. When she put her hand out, Paige didn't shake it. "Paige Guthrie...what are you...I mean, aren't you with..." She couldn't get the words out.

She raised an eyebrow slightly, immediately understanding Paige's stuttered question. "You mean, am I still with Magneto and the Brotherhood?" she asked, withdrawing her hand when Paige did not take it.

"Yeah." Paige said softly. She didn't know much about Mystique, but she knew she was capable of taking on a person at any time, and was skilled in fighting.

She shook her head, smiling gently. "No, I finished with all of that over a year ago," she informed her. "I've been living here since last February."

Paige, at first wasn't sure if Mystique was telling the truth or not. However, she then realized, the Professor would not allow her on the grounds if he considered her a threat to the school and the people who lived there. "Oh, well good for you." Paige said, her voice a bit more cheerful now as a small smile came to her face.

She nodded. "I realized I had better things to do than to stay with Magneto's cause," she told her. "I have more important things to do." As if to emphasize her point, she hefted Abigail, who gurgled happily.

Paige smiled a little when she noticed how happy Abby seemed to be with her mother, "Wait...if you've been here for a year, who's the father of Abigail?" She asked before realizing how rude that was to ask, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. It's none of my business." She added quickly.

She nodded in understanding, as though to forgive her the rude question. In response, she merely shrugged. "He's around," she said, being intentionally vague. Paige could get a number of things from that; he could be at the Institute, or it could mean that he lived in the area. Though many resourceful students already put two and two together, seeing the way their Professor acted with Abby.
