::Pietro accepted that, yet it was still a bizarre drink to him.:: "Too sweet. Champagne doesn't burn."

"I used to stick to drinks of one kind all the time," Morph said. "All gin based. Then I thought I was probably missing out on something if I didn't try sweet and virgin and what not drinks at least once..." he shrugged. "You could say I don't have habits."

::That sort of mindset was peculiar for Pietro; he was a creature of habit.:: "You still have preferences?"

"Yeah, that kind of thing happens," Morph nodded. "But it can be hard to tell," he morphed into the bartender guy, then into Pietro, then returned to his own appearance as he spoke, "since I'm one person this moment, another next moment, completely different the next one... I've learned not to see myself as a fixed set of traits."

::Pietro tensed, which caused pressure on his ribs, and he had to set the vodka bottle down before he dropped it. So he was a shape-shifter as well; Pietro would need to remain on his toes. He recovered, untensed, and leaned against the bar for support while the pain subsided from his ribs.:: "Interesting trick."

Morph chuckled at that comment. Interesting, indeed. He took a drink from his glass and looked a Pietro. "You got any up your sleeves?"

::Once the pain passed, Pietro lifted the vodka bottle again, drank deeply from it. As it burned down his throat, he shook his head slightly.:: "Not tonight, I do not."

"Mm," Morph nodded, understanding. He had long learned from his visits to this Club that by far not everyone who had special abilities was willing to flaunt them. However, he didn't follow the example of those who wasn't - he had no shame in his powers and wasn't afraid to make them known. "Half of mutants don't even have any powers," he said aloud, continuing his train of thought.

::Pietro took another sip from the bottle and gazed at the other man. It was a peculiar statement to make, one that carried with it a number of judgments. Pietro himself was admittedly on edge about certain philosophies, but it seemed to him to ring similar to Magneto's theory of useful and useless mutations. He recognized that, however, and took the time to ask first.:: "What do you mean?"

"Huh?" Morph frowned slightly, not realizing immediately that his statement could have been viewed as an ambigous one. "Oh, well- Just a random thought. I thought of the people that come to this club, some of them have powers, some don't, and some of those that have display them and others don't..." he shrugged, not really going anywhere with that observation.

::Pietro had never heard of a mutant without some sort of additional ability, even if it was something as seemingly frivolous as the ability to glow in the dark. Not everyone could command the forces of nature, after all. As for the other observation, he had his own opinion.:: "Many view mutations like money. You should not be ashamed to have it, but you shouldn't flaunt it at every opportunity."

"I view it as my hair color or my height," Morph said. "It's there; it's a part of me; I have no reasons to hide it."

::Pietro accepted that view; as long as abilities were not used to take advantage of others, who was he to stop others from showing off? And his powers were more practical than most; there were times to use them.:: "Point taken."

Morph fixed his gaze on the other man for a few moments. The guy seemed to be an interesting person - he clearly had his firm opinion about things but obviously preferred to keep it more to himself, just like the case probably was with his powers that he wouldn't display or even hint at.
"Kevin," he introduced himself finally, offering his hand. Accidentally running into one another twice in the course of a few days was enough reason to get acquainted, the way he saw it.

::Pietro set down his vodka and took the other man's hand. He pumped firmly, while returning the other man's gaze. It seemed that they had made it to another stage in this conversation.:: "Pietro."
