Morph imagined a school where a minority of mutants was bullied by a majority of humans; he almost clenched his fists. Definitely, schools would have to go back to segregated.

::The other man tensed as Pietro himself would. He must have bad associations, or perhaps he had children of his own. Either way, it appeared he cared about the innocents.:: "We need to protect the children."

"Ourselves," Morph said.
Humans turned in on mutants. That was logical. Fear produced violence. However, then the mutants turned in on themselves, fighting who would remain on top after everything. "We're f*cking Highlanders," he remarked, then took a drink from his glass.

::Pietro was not entirely sure he caught the reference; even after all his years certain cultural references slipped by. He knew it was a reference to in-fighting, but thought there might be more to it.:: "How would you have it?"

"I don't know," Morph replied. "I'd rather just remove myself to a desert island so as not to see any of it. Sometimes I wish I had nothing to do with either humans or mutants."

::Pietro thought that he may have been too quick to judge this man as one of Magneto's followers, if he so easily wrote off mutants as well. Instead he dealt with a man perhaps as bitter as he himself was, and he found that surprisingly refreshing.:: "Traveling the mountains works almost as well."

"Hanging oneself up does, too," Morph chuckled, "I prefer to stick to civilization for a while, it has its benefits, its inhabitants aside."

::Pietro agreed, nodding slightly. Frustrations aside, there were benefits to being in America again, although that was partially because Europe had been ruined. He lifted his bottle, as though toasting to the sentiment, then drank deeply.::

Morph noticed the other man's manner of drinking, but didn't react to it. It was a bar; commenting on the other person's drinking at a bar... required a certain level of acquaintance, one they surely hadn't reached yet. They didn't even know one another's names - not that there was any need in it.
He finished his drink. Probably it was time to go, he just couldn't make up his mind.

::Pietro noticed the other man finish his drink. He had learned from the last encounter, would not simply put money down. It would not stop him from making an offer; after all, he was enjoying this man's world view.:: "Let me get you another."

Morph looked at him for a few moments, considering. Was the other man actually enjoying his company? As far as Morph could remember, he himself had been nothing but bitter about everything. "Okay," he said at last, giving half a grin. "If it's something non-alcoholic, I still gotta drive."

::Pietro nodded, acquiesing. How troublesome it must be, to have to fear losing one's ability to drive. Still, he lamented that hewould never be able to experience even the barest effects from drink.:: "Name your poison."

"Argh, the choice," Morph said, dropping his forehead to the counter. He thought a little and nodded to the barman, "Virgin Bellini." If he had a reason to get drunk, he did it at home or simply took a cab. For now, he preferred a sober state of mind; driving was simply his official excuse.

::Pietro had the barkeep add the drink to his own tab. It was light, even when not virgin; far too sweet for Pietro's own taste. The other man was far more dramatic than he himself was; it was a peculiar personality trait to couple with his bitter views.:: "Interesting choice."

"Random," Morph replied. "Nearly first thing that came to mind." He had learned quite a few cocktails in those months he had visited the Hellfire Club as Sinister's spy.
