Rogue slid into the familiar club, satisfied that she didn't have to worry about bare skin touching on of the other costumers as she wound her way through the crowd. She sat at the bar and smiled at the bar tender.
'Just give me something very strong,' she said, running a hand through her hair.

Shade slipped into the bar, overhearing what Rogue had just said.
"Something very strong?" she asked when sitting down on one of the chairs next to Rogue.

Rogue gave Shade a small smile.
'meh - could do with losing conciousness tonight,' she said with a sigh

Shade grinned, ordering a coke.
"Oh goodness." she said. "You wouldn’t be the first one."

'who turned up drunk then?' Rogue asked Shade as a shot was placed infront of her

"Not turned up drunk, but I found her with a little hangover. Night" she said.

Rogue smiled a little
'I didn't have her marked out as a drinker,' she said, downing the shot and attempting not to reech. She was still young and the amount of alchohol in a shot was enough to have her out of her senses instantly but she focused on Shade, trying to bite back the reactions.

"Neither did I, but I think it was just a one time thing." she said.
Seeing Rogue empty the shot in one gulp she lifted her eyebrows.

'John wants to leave,' she choked out, biting her lip. John hadn't wanted anyone to know and she had eventually decided that she would keep it secret but a shot was enough to convince her to tell Shade.

Shade reached out for her friend to rest a hand on her shoulder in a try of comfort.
"I’m sorry." she said. "That’s a blow."

'I don't he'll actually go but... things have just got so confusing.'

She mirrored the smile reassuringly.
"Maybe he’ll just need some time to sort things out." she said. "And won’t leave at all."

When she said it, she realized how much truth had been in her words, Rogue and Shade had both listened to each other these days as well as Shade had taken her time to listen to Erik’s ramblings and him calming her down when she was upset. This was a rather weird world after all.

She nodded. "Yesterday, yeah." she said
"I was rather moody so he remembered me thinking that I found the ability to fly being a rather cool, so he dragged me across the lake to cheer me up which actually worked." She shot Rogue a glance feeling slightly uneasy. "Hope you don’t mind."

Shade laughed. "I knew you most likely wouldn’t, I just remembered some people back at Highschool who would scratch out other girl’s eyes if one ever so much as spoke to they boyfriends." she poked Rogue in the ribs playfully.
