Posted by Mystique on Feb 13, 2007, 14:46 Mystique cooly walked in the doors of the newly opened Hellfire Club, looking around. Music was playing from somewhere, and cigarrette smoke hung lightly in the air. "Hello?" She asked softly, turning to take in the entirety of the large room. Posted by Gambit on Feb 13, 2007, 14:56 Hearing a voice, Remy glanced up from his notes to find a woman standing at the entrance. Damn, he thought. Shoulda had this barstand placed right in the middle. Oh well. "Bon jour," he replied, drawing her attention. "An' welcome." Posted by Mystique on Feb 13, 2007, 15:07 Salut, she said silkily, coming over to him. "I take it you're the owner of this lovely establishment?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 13, 2007, 15:16 "In de flesh," he grinned. "De name is Gambit. What can I do for you, chere, and what are you having?" Posted by Mystique on Feb 13, 2007, 20:18 She smiled. "Actually, I was wondering if you could use a waitress here." Posted by Gambit on Feb 13, 2007, 20:40 Remy looked around the club, even leaning over the barstand. Then he looked back at the woman. "Don't wanna ruin your enthusiasm, chere," he winked, "but dere hardly be anybody to wait on at de moment. But I'm sure dere'll be plenty of visitors later--" He shrugged, thinking. "Say, a couple of days? An' if you let me know dat you're still looking for dat waitress job, I'll be more'n happy to help. What's your name?" Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 0:29 "Mystique," she said, using a french accent, before she dropped her disguise and shifted back to her buxom blue form. "I take it you might have a problem if I waitressed in my natural form?" She asked, grinning, hand on one hip. Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 14, 2007, 2:03 "Lord knows why," came a voice from the door. Erik entered with quick, wide strides, a long trenchcoat flapping in the chilling breeze that the open door brought with it. He had intended to stay in the car and wait for Mystique to finish her enquiries, but he was not the most patient of men at the best of times. Magneto came to stand beside her proudly, observing the apparently tasteless decor of the club. He looked to Gambit, a glimmer of recognition crossing his features. "We met once or twice at Xavier's, I think," he mused, holding out a fim cold hand. "Erik Lensherr." Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 8:14 Seeing him walking in, she smiled, assuming Erik hadn't been patient enough to stay in the car, and was curious as to what the club actually looked like. "I guess some people might not appreciate my uniqueness," she said, grinning. Posted by Gambit on Feb 14, 2007, 15:55 Gambit shook Magneto's hand. "Remarkable how a visit to Xavier's strips you of any secrecy you thought your person still possessed. Gotta take measures not to have all de teenagers in dis country know you by name," he winked to Magneto. After that he returned his attention to Mystique. "Alors," he said. "Gambit's more dan comfortable with naked women prancin' around. B'sides, chere, dis place ain't for people; and as for those who come here, I'm sure dey won't mind." He measured he up with his eyes. "Unless, of course, dey have already met Mystique in certain less friendly situations." Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 20:21 She grinned, sharing an all-knowing look with Erik. "Met little old me in any unfriendly situations? I daresay if anyone has had the misfortune to come across me in any less than friendly circumstances, they wouldn't be here to talk about it." She put a hand on Erik's shoulder, still grinning mischieviously. Posted by Shade on Feb 14, 2007, 20:21 While the others were still talking, Shade walked in and looked around. Normally she was not a person who?d come to places like this but she had felt that a distraction and change from the bouncy pink atmosphere at the mansion had been in order. She tossed a glance over at the others and, not wanting to disturb their conversation, sat down at a table. Posted by Gambit on Feb 14, 2007, 20:43 "You never know who might be watchin'," Remy replied. He glanced at the new visitor. "If you're still serious about dis kind of job, dere's your first client," he said to Mystique, nodding towards the girl. "Gambit bought dis place to give mutants a chance to relax an' have fun without cops an' government runnin' an' shootin' everybody. Can you get dis idea across to her so that she wouldn't hide in de corner like she does now, chere?" Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 20:58 Her grin became wider. "Piece of cake." Under the eyes of both men, she sauntered over to the young woman sitting at a table. "Why hello there," she purred, putting a hand on her hip. "What can I get for ya?" Posted by Shade on Feb 14, 2007, 21:36 "A coke please." Shade flashed Mystique a smile which was half amused, half annoyed. "So that?s why brotherhood members have 50% off here? You?re working here?" She raised an eyebrow. She looked over Mystique?s shoulder towards Erik. "Better for him to stay here for a while. There are a number of students who feel like tearing him to shreds right now." she said. Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 21:43 She laughed loudly. "I'm trying to get work here, actually. I think it would be beneficial for me." She followed Shade's gaze to Erik, eyebrow raised. "What has he done this time? I swear, I take my eyes off you for one second, and you're running around causing more mischief than me," she accused, pointing a finger in his direction playfully. "What students want to rip him to shreds, if you don't mind me asking?" Posted by Shade on Feb 14, 2007, 21:47 "Hard to tell." Shade shrugged. "But definitly Strype. And... all the others who were mentioned in those Valentine?s notes and which he, friendly as he was, read aloud in front of the entire school." Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 21:54 She tried and failed to contain her laughter. Glancing over at Erik once more, she grinned. "That truly is evil, Erik. Reading valentine's out loud...tsk tsk." The idea of it was deliciously evil. She smiled evilly as she walked over to the bar and produced a glass, filling it with ice and coke. Posted by Shade on Feb 14, 2007, 22:02 Shade shook her head, stiffling a grin. Strype ... and Pyro, would be raging at Erik by now and somehow she felt like she didn?t want to miss the show. "I know why I didn?t write any Valentine notes" she murmured sarcastically. Posted by Mystique on Feb 14, 2007, 22:09 She snorted. "I can't imagine why you didn't either," her tone just as sarcastic. She walked back over, placing the coke in front of Shade. "Erik, would you like something?" To take you mind off the inevitable doom, she thought wryly. Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 1:00 "Anything with a truckload of alcohol would be most welcome," he replied, watching her go to it. He turned to Gambit with a smirk. "She knows what I like." Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 1:19 "I bet she does," Remy smirked. "Heard de wildest stories of you two. By de way, since you are technically at the bar already, Remy can fix you a drink right away without havin' to interrupt de girls' conversation." Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 1:23 "How gallant," Erik said with smile. "A tequila sunrise for now - it's a little early in the day for slammers." Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 1:33 Remy mixed the drink, moving his hands with trained yet natural accuracy. Exactly the (second) kind of job he liked: moving unusual people, getting to know them, getting them drunk and relaxed... He was even hoping it would sometimes distract him from the habit of seeing people as a bunch of pockets and opportunities. "I wonder what indeed slams you down," he glanced at Magneto, filling the highball, adding a cherry and a stirrer. "Dere ya go." Posted by Figment on Feb 15, 2007, 1:35 ((ooc. Sorry to butt in, just had to let you know, Magneto. You and Dia have lots in common! Heehee. She was having sunrises earlier on the....outing with John. ))

Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 1:37 "Cheers," Erik said, taking a bold gulp. He watched the girls for a moment, then looked back to the man before him. "There's only one thing comes to mind with regard to getting me flat on my back." He replied with a wink. Posted by Shade on Feb 15, 2007, 1:40 Shade took a gulp from her coke. "And I?m most certainly not going to ask." she said. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 1:53 "Aww," Remy said with disappointment, "an' I was about to start makin' a list for future reference." There was a pause, and then he said, "Hope I don't offend anybody here, homme, but... what does a woman like Mystique mean by lookin' for a job at a bar?" Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 1:57 Erik smiled as another gulp of his drink went down, the sunrise in the glass becoming a mass of marbled orange. "I'm teaching up at Charles's Institute, so I suppose she wants something to do in the daytime." There was irony in there somewhere, but it was mostly true. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 2:07 "Dieu," Remy stiffled the desire to roll his eyes, "Gambit feels truly flattered dat her 'something to do' is as humble as dis club, and not something you see in Breaking News coverage." He flashed a smile at Erik. "But seriously, her presence her is appreciated. Gotta remember to mention it to her personally... So how's things down at Xavier's?" Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 2:10 "Dull until this morning," Erik said, his grin widening. "I broke the sacred rule of the anonymous valetine's - offended a small mass of people." Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 2:22 "On Valentine's?!" Remy exclaimed with disbelief. "Dieu, look at you, an absolute monster! Was dere a reason to ruin such a day wit' such a prank, homme?" Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 2:25 Erik snorted into his drink. He had had severe trouble controlling his laughter throughout the day. "They're all so terrified of telling one another their feelings - I did them a favour." Erik smiled out into the empty bar, catching Mystique's eye. He sometimes wished everyone was as honest about their emotions. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 2:42 Remy nodded. "I see what you mean. But, knowing Xavier's to be a hideaway for rejected teenagers, Remy seriously thinks what you did was more of a damage dan a favor. Love business is such a delicate matter, mon ami..." Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 2:43 "To some," Erik corrected with a gentlemanly smile. "I gather you respect it a great deal more than I do?" Posted by Mystique on Feb 15, 2007, 8:47 She caught his comment from her conversation with Shade, and had to cover her mouth lightly to keep from letting out a loud laugh. She shook her head, eyes full of laughter. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 11:15 Remy said nothing to that. He just beamed another smile and winked at Magneto. "How 'bout another drink?" Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 12:44 "I'd love one," he said plesantly, handing over the glass. "The fluid decor rather makes one thirsty." Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 13:53 Remy fixed another Sunrise and placed it on the table in front of Magneto. "Legends have it de previous owner used to serve gasoline here to some particularly choosy clients," he remarked. Posted by Mystique on Feb 15, 2007, 16:52 Overhearing Gambit's comment, even as Shade was talking, her eyebrow raised involuntarily. "I take it you mean Sebastian Shaw?" She asked, turning. "Where has he disappeared to?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 19:28 "I don't know and, frankly, do not really care. The deal was immaculate, and I only met Shaw's attorney, who said dat due to Shaw's disappearance, some of his estate was to be distributed at the heirs' discretion. So Gambit got himself dis place an' didn't inquire further." ((OOC: chances are, I'll be fiddling with my avatar for some time more until I find the best one... so don't worry if you can't recognize me every other day )) Posted by Mystique on Feb 15, 2007, 21:50 She sighed. So much for that. She knew Shaw wouldn't have left a map as to where he went, but it would've been nice to not have another dead end. "Am I doing a good job waitressing? I must admit, other than a few days impersonating someone named 'Foxy' at a rather disgusting establishment, I've never really done this before," she said, winking slyly. Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 22:31 Erik grinned happily. He remembered Foxy well, a most entertaining apparition. "Hopefully he's dead, then." He smiled as he sipped the sunrise. "Wouldn't want him stealing such a beauty of a place back for him and his cronies to do their dirty work in." Erik let his eyes roam the establishment once more. It really didn't deserve anything less than to be a club for mutantkind. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 22:34 "Can't see your clients complaining so far," Remy shrugged. "They're your only meter. As for your invaluable talent for impersonation, I'm sho we'll find some nifty ways to use it for de benefit of de establishment." He waved his hand at Magneto's remark. "De man who can steal anything from Gambit hasn't been born yet, mon ami. An' I'm pretty sho never will be." Feb 14, 2007, 2:03, Erik Magnus Lensherr wrote:Magneto came to stand beside her proudly, observing the apparently tasteless decor of the club. ((OOC: La donna e mobile? I'm sorry, it took me a while to modify the post to fit both answers in one. Give you a moment to reply to the second one.)) Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 22:37 "Within reason," Erik said protectively, an eyebrow raised a Gambit. Posted by Mystique on Feb 15, 2007, 23:15 "But someone already has, and will," she remarked, smiling. She had come over to the conversation after sharing a look with Shade. "Erik is going to steal me back soon," she smiled impishly. Posted by Shade on Feb 15, 2007, 23:18 Shade returned Mystique?s glance and grinned, Erik?s words from months ago flashing in her mind again, telling her she would be one for espionage. And, with mystique?s talents, that Gambit shouldn?t be too sure about his secrets. Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 23:25 "Ah, but dat just 'cause I don't own you, cheri," Remy flashed at her one of his 'Ladykiller' reserve smiles. "What I'm more interested in, is - how does dat fit in with your intention to work here?" ((OOC: don't forget to PAY, fellas )) Posted by Mystique on Feb 15, 2007, 23:30 "What, my association with the big bad Magneto?" She asked innocently, putting an arm around Erik's shoulder. Posted by Erik Magnus Lensherr on Feb 15, 2007, 23:37 Erik leant back into the hold, still smiling. He took another gulp of his drink.

Posted by Gambit on Feb 15, 2007, 23:43 "Honest, just how long do you intend to work here? Hang around for a couple of weeks, an' we turn dis place into a Mecca; but just a few days - I don't think so." Posted by Mystique on Feb 16, 2007, 6:51 "Oh don't worry, I intend to work for at least a few weeks," she said, smiling. Before anyone could see where she pulled it from, she revealed a wad of cash. "Here, how much do we owe you? I'll pay for Erik and Shade." Posted by Gambit on Feb 16, 2007, 11:35 "Just don't go nowhere, an' we'll settle it from your salary." Posted by Shade on Feb 16, 2007, 14:36 Shade emptied her glass and handed it back to Gambit, nodding a thanks towards Mystique. "You caused quite some discussion with that Valentine note of yours over at the institute" she told the other man. Posted by Mystique on Feb 17, 2007, 22:05 Mystique grinned wickedly. "So I've heard. Did it cause an uproar? Did people get offended?" She asked eagerly. Posted by Shade on Feb 17, 2007, 22:06 "nah.." Shade shook her head. "Not really. Most of them were still too shocked or agitated about the previous notes to pay that much attention. Some wondered why they were not included though." Posted by Mystique on Feb 17, 2007, 22:15 She sighed, mocking a pout. "What a disappointment, I was half hoping there were students wanting to completely rip Erik apart after his stunt," she grinned wickedly. Posted by Shade on Feb 17, 2007, 22:16 "There were." she said. "Strype looked like she was going to tear him to pieces. I saw her rush from the room shortly after he had left." Posted by Mystique on Feb 17, 2007, 22:56 She laughed evilly. "I'm glad there's at least one student affected by Erik's evil plans. Tell me, who's this Strype girl?" Catching a look from Erik, it was hard to contain her glee at his plan going so well. Posted by Shade on Feb 17, 2007, 22:59 The glances they exchanged told her that Mystique, too, knew more about Strype... or better, whatever secret Erik made about Strype, than she would tell. Darn those secrets she thought grumbling to herself. Instead of letting her curiosity show, she shrugged. "I don?t know much about her. She seems to be a nice girl and she?s quickly made friends at school. She has some power issues though and I?m still expecting the day when she and Erik will go at each others throats... for whatever reasons." she added sarcastically, not really hoping her hint would lose the tongues of either of the two of them. Posted by Gambit on Feb 18, 2007, 0:23 Remy shook his head, hearing the whole conversation. "Just like back in de old days, de Brotherhood is gone and sabotaged de X-Men again," he muttered. "Dieu, what a big surprise..." Posted by Mystique on Feb 18, 2007, 22:07 Mystique smiled. "Not really, Erik's gone back to teach at the Institute, but old habits die hard I guess," she shrugged. "He likes to stir up mischief amongst the students." Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 2:26 'So this is why the lair is so empty.' Rogue walked into the club with a smile, recognising all of the faces but one. She had dried off from her earlier fiasco at the mansion but the tossed about look was still with her. She walked up to the bar and leant on it, smiling at the man Mystique had been talking to. She guessed that everyone else in the room knew him so held out a hand encased in the only clean pair of gloves she had left - Bobby's grandmother's. She needed to talk to Erik and Mystique but that would have to wait. 'Hi - I'm Rogue,' she smiled widely and shook the hair out of her brusied eye. Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 11:19 She turned around when she heard someone speak and, seeing Rogue, her eyes widened. The young woman had not been around for several days and was looking miserable. Shade had no idea where she had been. "Rogue!" she exclaimed, giving the other one a happy hug. "Where in the world have you been?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 13:06 Rogue smiled, hugging Shade back. 'Everywhere really, ended up in Canada before I gave in and came home.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 14:33 Remy smiled to see yet another beauty step into his club. Boy, word travels fast, he thought. "Rogue," he greeted. "Pleasure to meet you. Gambit is de name, an' welcome to Hellfire Club. Anything I can get you, chere?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 16:18 'You gonna ask for ID?' she flashed a killer smile and sat down on a stool, crossing her legs Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 16:23 "In dis haven for mutants," Remy winked, "which is kinda secret from de authorities an' which I hope will be a safe haven, too, I'm asking only what I can get you - to make your day brighter et cetera. So, what'll it be?" he sized her up. "Lemme guess... A Margarita or a Martini/Sprite mix?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 16:24 Rogue smiled. 'Wow - you're good. Martini and sprite sounds great thanks.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 16:31 He poured her cocktail into a tumbler and added a slice of lime. "There ya go," he said. Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 16:32 'Thanks,' She looked around at the others with a small smile 'So everyone been completely lost without me then?' Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 16:50 Shade grinned. "Not completely" she said teasingly. "But I wondered where you?d gone. YOu missed quite a lot over at the institute." Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 16:52 'So I've heard. Apparantly everyone's after Erik's blood since Valentines.' Rogue rolled her eyes rather dramatically and took a sip of her drink. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 17:38 Looking at them, Remy took out his unfinished list again. ::So, how 'bout a few special house drinks?:: he mused. Ditto Magnitto, he scribbled, smirking. Vermouth, rum, Kahlua, ice. A coin on top of the ice. Tame the powers of magnetism, catch the coin. Weapon X. Whiskey, tequila. Kills on the spot. Phoenix Ash. Some sweet liquor with Kahlua on the top, set it on fire and drink. In the morning you'll feel as if somebody has read not only your mind but half of the insides as well. Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 17:40 Shade took a list at the list and grinned. "I guess it?d be better for all present here if I just stick to coke. My alcohol tolerance is about the same as that of a 5 year old." Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 17:46 "Hey, no peeking!" Remy was smiling wide. "Dis chef-d'oeuvre ain't finished yet, non?! Although any ideas are most welcome. I'll make sure to add some about-5-year-old-alcohol-tolerable drinks as well..." Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 17:48 Shade gave a laugh. "Good idea" she said. "Looks nice to me so far though."

Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 18:00 House special: Louisiana Gambit. Perhaps some Martini+juice will do. Garnished with licorice spades and marmalade hearts. Eyes of Cyclops: the bartender fixes whatever he chooses, you trust the bartender and you drink with your eyes closed. African Storm: cream and dark liquor poured to make a spiral pattern. Garnish - a piece of chocolate. Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 18:25 Rogue leaned over and looked at the list. 'They're looking good, I'm liking the sound of the Ditto Magnitto.' She poked her tongue out at Erik and beamed Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 18:40 "And what's your special power, chere?" Remy asked. "I have a feeling I simply must make you a special drink." Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 18:44 'Well if you can come up with a drink that relates to life absobing skin then go ahead,' she crinkled her nose a little 'My power aint that flashy.' Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 18:46 Shade stiffled a grin. "I?d love to see that" she said in a low voice. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 18:51 "Well, I s'pose it's a case of 'easier done than said'," Remy replied. He quickly scribbled another recipe and showed her the result: 'Tempting Rogue: cola with a touch of Cointreau on the rocks. Drink without using your hands!' "Howzzat?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 18:54 Rogue laughed as Gambit showed her the drink. 'Very nice.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 18:59 "My pleasure," Remy bowed his head ever so slightly. Curiosity was eating him up. "What's it like?" he asked, not heeding to the thought that this question might be a tad too personal. "Just a touch, an' I'm dead?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 19:07 'Well no. You can probably have about two seconds before anything happens,' Rogue gave a small sigh, 'then all your energy, feelings, memories and your life source start to get sucked outta you until there's nothing left but an empty shell.' she looked up at Gambit 'Like I said - not a flashy power.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 19:11 "Dieu," Remy exhaled, "you must have quite a collection of those in your head, eh?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 19:17 'Seven and I hope never to reach eight.' She tugged at a piece of hair unconciously 'It's not too nice a feeling.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 19:21 "No worries, cheri," Remy winked. "Whatever happens, is for the best, non? Trust me, I've been down that road. I'd explode anything dat touched my hands. But it all gets better, believe me." Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 19:22 "So that?s your power?" Shade asked. "Letting things explode?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 19:28 "Somethin' like dat, oui," Remy said. "I'd show you, but the room design is too fresh, I'd hate to damage it." Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 19:31 "I can imagine." Shade said with a faint smile, musing about how much more passive her own powers were. They were defense only and even if she had never felt ... destructive, she had begun to wish that at times her power had been a more powerful one. At least one to help and restrain two fire mutants going at each other?s throats in her class. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 19:44 "Yeah, it's kinda easy to picture, kaboom and all." Remy studied her features. "A cocktail for you, maybe?" Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 19:50 Shade gave a shrug. "All right." she said. "I guess I deserve one." She laughed drily. "What can you recommend?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 20:15 "Well," Remy thought for a second. "If indeed your alcohol tolerance is that of a 5-year-old, I'd give you a milkshake. But if you're up for something with alcohol yet sweet and easy, go for Silver Surfer. Milk, ice, and some delicate Malibu." ((Damn, I was tailored for this job )) Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 20:17 "Sounds nice" Shade said. "I?ll try that one then." She grinned. ((You so are ! )) Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 20:31 Remy fixed the drink as elegantly as he could. He kept having a recurring image of mutant girls in a "Take me drunk, I'm home" kind of state all around the Club, but he tried to ignore it. He added a black straw to the cocktail. "Consider it your test drink, and then we'll see." Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 20:33 "Well, thank you" Shade said, flashing Gambit a smile, then taking a sip of the drink he handed her. "Hm... not bad at all" she said. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 20:35 "Jus' don't get too carried away, an' you'll be fine here," Remy assured her. Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 20:42 "I guess my alcohol tolerance is not that low." Shade said, but she was rather hoping it wasn?t. Truth be told, this was just what she felt she needed after all the weird and stressy things goinh on at school. One drink couldn?t be bad... or two maybe. She would get drunk after one or two... noone did. She took another sip. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 20:47 "I've heard actual theories dat mutants are much better adapted for dis modern civilized world of ours, an' dat including noise perception, surviving the stress, coping wit' pollution and taking alcohol. Not much, but still better dan humans," Remy said. Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 20:49 "interesting" Shade said. "I guess it?s sort of necessary, as a human teacher would have adaption problems to a class with two teenage flamethowers." She laughed. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 20:53 Remy laughed. "Yeah, sad as it is, I can see now why mutant kids are being pressed out of schools everywhere. At the same time, I s'pose it's better if you continue thinking dat you have low alcohol tolerance. Otherwise you'll be set on fire in no time..."

Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 20:55 Shade looked around after having another gulp. "Well as neither Firestorm nor Pyro seem to be around for now... I guess getting a little of that stuff won?t be a bad thing at all." Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 21:01 "Pyro?" Remy asked in surprise. He had grown to expect Xavier's place to be full of all kinds of people and odd events, but hearing a familiar name somehow struck him more than he'd think it would. "Pyro as in John Allerdyce?" Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 21:02 "Uhm... yeah. that?s him" Shade replied. "Why? You know him?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 21:06 Gambit decided it was best to be non-committal at the moment. "Rings a bell," he said. "Met him a couple a times, I think." (( Don't ask me, I have no idea what he's talking about will figure it out later. )) Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 21:09 "I guess he?s one people remember." Shade said with a shrug. "not in a good way, but well..." She was actually beginning to pretty much like that coctail and was beginning to consider to order another one after she would have emptied the first. Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 21:55 'Am I the only person who actually still likes Johnny-boy?' Rogue asked looking around at the people in the bar Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 21:57 Shade shrugged. "I guess that?s a mutual thing as he doesn?t like me either" she said, emptying her coctail. "Can I have another one?" Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 22:02 "Bien sure," Gambit mixed another Surfer and put the glass in front of Shade. "S'pose that means you've passed the test." Posted by Shade on Feb 19, 2007, 22:04 "Thanks" Shade said, feeling her senses very slightly dimmed already, but being unwilling to admit the fact. Posted by Mystique on Feb 19, 2007, 22:04 She laughed, watching Shade down the drinks. Turning to Rogue, she smiled. "I really think you are the only person who still likes dear John." Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 22:13 Gambit thought of saying "No she isn't", but quelled the idea. Posted by Rogue on Feb 19, 2007, 22:21 'Oh well he has me Dia and KittyCat - what more does a boy need?' she smiled and took another sip of her drink Posted by Mystique on Feb 19, 2007, 22:24 She laughed. "I wonder what man doesn't like to be surrounded by pretty women?" She grinned, looking at Gambit, who had indeed addressed her as well as several females in a certain valentine's day card. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 22:25 "A chance to make up his mind, perhaps," Gambit prompted. Posted by Gambit on Feb 19, 2007, 22:28 "Ooh, chere, I can think of a few acquaintances who prefere de company of men," he smiled. "So your generalization might sound just a bit too optimistic." Posted by Shade on Feb 20, 2007, 13:37 Shade, who was just taking another sip of her drink, giggled which sounded somewhat stupid. Posted by Mystique on Feb 20, 2007, 21:20 She laughed. "Well, I guess it's good for me that I don't mind." Since I can be both anyways she thought, grinning wickedly. Posted by Gambit on Feb 20, 2007, 22:32 Gambit caught her mischievous glance and winked in reply. Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 2:02 'Must I remind you that Erik is right there? Admittedly day-dreaming but he's still in the room!' Rogue shook her head with a small smile, before drinking again Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 2:28 "Dieu, I sure hope it isn't because he's had too much to drink?" Remy said in a playfully exaggerated shocked voice. Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 2:30 'Wouldn't suprise me,' Rogue raised her eyebrows quickly at Gambit and downed a drink. 'I'll have another please.' She leant across to Gambit and whispered near his ear. 'And put it on Erik's tab.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 2:42 ((losing count of the drinks you guys have had already )) "Pas de probleme. The same, or wanna try somethin' else, cheri?" he made sure to place special emphasis on "else". Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 2:43 Rogue raised an eyebrow and winked at Gambit. 'I'll stick with the same thanks.' Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 3:41 Remy mixed another for her. "Gotta warn you," he said. "All dose nice sweet cocktails're two-sided coins. Dey're mellow an' easy to have, an' you don't notice de effect until you're just all of a sudden lying face down in your salad." (( And I mean it! If you want to continue dis and consider a real-life situation dat would make sense, you're bound to end up losing self-control at one of de next cocktails, chere! )) Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 3:44 'Yeh I know, John's had to put me in enough cabs home and moan about it for weeks, for me to know how easily I get drunk. But oh well, maybe I might get taken home by a handsome prince.' She gave a small giggle. 'You up for it Erik?' Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 3:59 "I could take you home, chere," Remy grinned. "Your place or mine?" Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 4:01 Rogue smirked 'Mine's a little too public, so yours.' She giggled a little and winked Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 4:10 "Bon," Remy replied in a relaxed tone and then leaned in closer, speaking in a low voice, "Soon as dey leave, I'm closing de club an' kidnappin' you. Howzzat?" Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 11:57 Shade emptied her second coctail and when she placed down the glass realized her head was swimming a little more than slightly. With a scowl she noticed that she had not drunk that much in... most of her life actually. She felt an urge to get up and take a sniff of air but was not trusting her feet to carry her out without swaying, so she just remained where she was. Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 12:49 Rogue beamed 'That sounds like a good plan to me,' she giggled again, feeling just a little light headed.

Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 13:33 "Alright den," Gambit said. Then he glanced at the swaying Shade. She was holding up mostly, but Gambit noticed those telltale miniscule oscillations she involuntarily made. "Was it one drink too many?" he asked in a sympathetic voice. "You might wanna eat somethin' or get some fresh air." Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 13:36 The answer was most definitly yes, Shade thought. She felt herself blush slightly. What had made her drink a second coctail? She knew she couldn?t handle alcohol well. She blinked once or twice and the dizzyness retreated slightly. Good. That would be it, she thought with sarcasm, embarassing herself in front of all the people here. "Something to eat sounds nice." she said, noticing that speaking needed more attention then two drinks ago. Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 13:48 "We do have a kitchen running, ya know," Remy winked. He grabbed the menu from the stand and placed it in front of the girl. "If you can't read anymore, let me know." He knew all kinds of ways to get a person sober or at least more or less clear-headed, but he decided to start with some of the more humane ones. (( I so need Mystique waitressing right now, I hope she'll be around to make her move )) Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 13:51 "Why shouln? i be able t? read?" she said, angry at herself for the slight slurr in her voice. Looking at the menu, the letters looked a little fogged which annoyed her even more. Goodness, Shade, two coctails and you?re getting drunk? "I think... this here sounds nice." she said, pointing at some point in the menu, only guessing vaguely what it meant. Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 14:24 "Fruit salad?" Remy asked, surprised. "Oh no, dat won't be much help. What's good against alcohol is lots of fat and caffeine, I hope you're not dieting, chere," he chuckled. "How about some lasagna?" (( God bless search engines )) Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 14:25 'Aww Shadey's drunk.' Rogue put an arm around her friend and giggled, taking another sip of her drink. Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 14:28 "Lasagna sounds awesome" Shade said with a sheepish grin. "And no, I?m NOT drunk, never have" she said towards Rogue while a voice in the back of her head kept calling her a liar. Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 14:42 Remy typed the order into his computer and sent a message to the kitchen. "It'll be ready in a few minutes," he promised. "You know, Gambit's got dis strong suspicion you, too, need a lift home, chere." He had a fleeting image of his car filling up with drunk giggling teenage girls in flimsy clothes. As much fun as it is, gotta arrange a steady taxi line from here to Xavier's at some point, he thought. Posted by Rogue on Feb 21, 2007, 14:51 'Woo - party in Gambit's car!' She laughed and gave a small hiccough. Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 14:57 This job was becoming way more interesting than Remy had hoped it to. "Backseat dancing an' stuff," Remy nodded. He was very amused. Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 15:08 "Party sounds like fun." Shade said with a stupid grin. "but right now pasta sounds a whole lot better." ((oh, btw, Shade doesn?t really count as a teen any longer, as she?s 24, although she can pretty much act like one ;-) )) Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 15:27 "Lasagna is on its way," Remy assured her, "I can hear it buying a ticket up here already." (( His thoughts are not referring to those two girls in particular, just a general image but I suppose Shade looks younger than her age... I believe it to be one of the reasons why she and the students get along so well. )) Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 21, 2007, 20:44 Hello ..... can I join this club? .-She asked a little shameful in the door of the Club, the first age time that was leaving of Westchester Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 21:31 Oh no, Remy thought. It seemed as if his plan to leave earlier and give a lift to Rogue and Shade was just about to shatter like a dropped mirror. Oh well, he sighed to himself. Part of the businessman life, he-he. "Hello there," he greeted. "You don't join anything, you just come in, order something and have a good time. Provided you're a mutant, of course." Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 21:34 When Shade heard a familiar voice from over at the door, she became a lot more sober in an instant. Goodness, Shade, watch your thoughts, she thought to herself. Turning to the young mutant she smiled as a greeting, not saying anything because she didn?t totally trust her voice...yet. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 21, 2007, 22:22 -Hello ..... thank you very much for allowing me to enter, it is the first time that I go out of Westchester and am a little lost. Thank you very much .....-said entering the wonderful bar. - ? wooooowwww this is fantastic!!!!!! Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 22:31 Can't say no to a compliment. "Well, it's good that you like it, chere," Remy replied. "Anythin' I can get ya?" Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 21, 2007, 22:35 - a coke please. Is the bar yours? .-ask looking at Shade and to the magician cajun .... really it was very attractive, but what more he liked of the eran his eyes, black and the red iris ... was impressive Posted by Gambit on Feb 21, 2007, 23:00 "Ooh, a coke," Remy whistled. "I know a girl who also started with a coke here," he winked to Shade covertly, so that the new guest wouldn't notice. "An' went a-a-all de way." "The bar, and the kitchen, and the dancefloor, and the private rooms, and all the rest are all mine," he replied. Posted by Shade on Feb 21, 2007, 23:03 Shade tossed a glance at Gambit, demonstratively putting the emtpy glass aside. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 21, 2007, 23:19 OHH... He would ask You to throw me a little of Whiskey, in Spain there are called Cubatas, are deliciosos. - he said with a smile. Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 0:50 "Aren't you too young t' be torturin' your stomach wit' whiskey?" Remy squinted. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 1:08 all right... I willI continue your advice ... but in return, you accompany me? Do you take a little with me? I invite you.-smiled with entusiam Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 1:15 "I'm sorry, chere," Gambit flashed a smile. "I'm on a job here. Somebody's got to keep sober around here, don't ya think?" Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 1:21 Did she smile and asked him that a Coca ...... - I can ask you a little about Gambit? Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 1:46 He gave her an open bottle of coke and a glass. "You sure can; don't mean you get de answer, though." Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 2:37 How time are you stay in Westchester?.- she asked Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 10:26 (( I must admit I don't understand the question ))

Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 10:33 ((Coming from Trespassing on the Grounds)) Seeing a place that looked as good as any to drown her sorrows, Phoebe entered the bar, her face hollow and worn. They had no right; they were trespassing, and now Tim...If she had had anymore tears left in her, she would have cried them out. As it was, she didn't. She remembered with bitter satisfaction the screams of the dying men whom had shot her lover as they burned from her fire. Sitting down heavily at the bar, she held her head in her hands. It wasn't her usual hang out, but she had done things she wasn't proud of and really didn't want to remember them. ((I think she meant how long have you been in Westchester. But I could be wrong.)) Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 10:56 (( I would have understood it that way, too, had New York City or Gambit been in any way related to Westchester... But I am completely at a loss. )) The new visitor looked somewhat different from the others. Tired and pale, she sat down at the bar. Remy wasn't sure what drink she'd have, but it was clear that she needed a second without questions and with something to drink. After a moment's hesitation he mixed a small quantity of a sweet liquor into a glass of pineapple juice and put it in front of her. He figured if she wanted anything stronger, she could ask for it later, when she'd be more or less okay. Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 11:06 Looking to the drink placed in front of her, she smiled weakly and gulped some down. It was sweet, and it served to moisten her lips. But it didn't do anything for the pain. Maybe it's drugged, she thought almost hopefully, gulping more. When she finished, she looked up at the guy who had given it to her. "Thanks," she said, reaching into her pocket and pushing a few bills at him. Her head felt light, but aside from that, nothing. She sighed in disappointment. "You wouldn't happen to have anything stronger, would you?" she asked. Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 11:18 "Uh, no, chere, it's just a bar, an' bars don't serve alcohol," he grinned. "You better pay after you're done." Then he got serious. "What can I get you?" Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 11:23 "Anything that'll make me forget the past twenty four hours," she said tiredly. Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 11:32 "Even if only temporarily?" Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 11:53 The mind of his friend FireStorm was opened for her, from where it was seated, I look at her out of the corner of the eye and it closed the eyes allowing to flow his thoughts legeramente; Pain, death, the loss the dear one..... Those thoughts were quite painful..... Gabrielle got up, approached her and said to him; - can I sit down with you my friend? .-put with proteccion the hand in the arm and I her look at the eyes understanding, knowing what happened to him Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 20:18 Phoebe looked up at Night. A small smile crossed her face and she nodded to her friend. "I'd like that." To the bartender, she said, "That's fine. I just don't want to remember for a few hours, though I only have enough money for a few drinks. Three tops." Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 20:35 I me one to these Tops!!!!!.. I wait that we do not come to the mansion leather wine-bottles ...... do you imagine? - I ask him trying to cheer her up Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 20:37 She chuckled softly. "Sounds good," she said to Night, assuming the girl was trying to intoxicate her, but not really sure. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 20:44 - I believe that they would throw us ....... but, calm if you are thinking .... for that you it are thinking that you are going to make drunk me, you are very wrong, in Spain we drink things peores. - he smiled they drinking from a gulp the liquor Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 20:48 She smirked slightly. Night had a way of making her smile, even in the worse cases. She nodded. "Okay," she said. "How about I get drunk, and you can drag me back to the mansion in Westchester?" Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 20:57 that seems to you if utlizo my magnetic power and I take you floating, I have not even tried, but if you want to be the first one ......-smiled. Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 21:06 She shook her head. "Nah," she said. "I'm not much into flying." Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 21:28 But now the most important thing is that we spend it to ourselves well, if we get drunk, we get drunk ...... to forget the bad moments, I do not believe that the Profesor finds out ....-it was she who said winking the eye without eliminating the smile of his lips Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 21:47 "I'll drink to that," Phoebe smiled. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 22:09 whiskey or vodkza, rum..... I would like proving a Spanish wine .... Phoebe made sure to you that you come out that the sorrow!!!!!!! Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 22:35 (( Don't mind me )) Gambit mixed some Bacardi with cola and gave it to the girl. "A starter," he said. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 22:52 hank you gambit, we need it ..... to relieve the sorrow, also I cannot allow Phoebe to drink alone, that would be of bad educacion. - he said to him him smiling. Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 23:00 Phoebe thanked him and took the glass, but didn't drink it just yet. Instead, she swirled the concoction, looking down into its spinning depths, as if the answer to her problems were hidden in it. When she saw nothing, she gulped it down, not pausing for breath. The buzz in her head got louder, but that was all. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 23:10 woooowwwwww of only one gulp!!!!!! we have curfew in the mansion? Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 23:14 She shrugged. "I don't know," she replied. "And in all honesty, I don't really care at the moment." Licking her lips, she mused, "That actually wasn't bad. Could I get another one, please?" Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 23:28 another tips please to me also... Good, it does not matter, I do not believe that it is going to fall down to us a row, we are major of age..... Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 23:48 Gambit served both girls again, adding an ounze more alcohol to FireStorm's drink than the previous time. If she was bent on getting drunk into temporary amnesia, she was going to get it. "Not a good thing when a beatiful girl comes to a bar wishing to forget somet'ing," he remarked as if to himself. "Had it been in my power, wouldn've let a lady get into dat kind of trouble." Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 23:52 Really Gambit ........ FireStorm and I ..... drink to forget ....... Posted by Gambit on Feb 22, 2007, 23:53 (( Well, it's obvious that Mystique isn't gonna run kitchen errands... ::sigh:: )) A cookboy came, bringing the ordered lasagna. Gambit placed the plate in front of Shade. "You know, if you're not comfortable eating at the bar..." he hinted. Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 22, 2007, 23:55 Lasagna??? You have made Lasagna? FireStorm, do you want a little? Posted by Phoebe on Feb 22, 2007, 23:57 Phoebe chuckled ruthlessly at the barmen's comment about wanting to forget. Taking a swig of her newest glass, she muttered, "Yeah, well, humans are really starting to p*ss me off." She downed another few gulps. To Night, she shook her head. "Nah," she replied. "I'm fine." Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 23, 2007, 0:04 - ?To enjoy of the night ......., let's not think that tomorrow we will get up with a painful migraine ........... !!!!- I exclaim lifting his glass and her they drinking from a gulp Posted by Phoebe on Feb 23, 2007, 0:09 "I'll drink to that," she said, taking another long gulp. The liquor burned her throat, but it felt good, and she soon had a heightened buzzy feeling in her head. Unfortunately, she still remembered the day's events, so her theory was proving wrong. ((Seriously, I just turned 18, and I'm not allowed to buy alcohol in the states. So...How many more of these can I realistically put into Phoebe's system before she passes out?)) Posted by Gambit on Feb 23, 2007, 0:12 (( Night Arcangel, please be so kind to read more carefully. 1) Lasagna was ordered by Shade. 2) Gambit didn't make anything, he's the owner and the bartender. 3) His thoughts about drinking to forget are his thoughts, and you cannot reply to them unless you are using author's comments in double brackets. FireStorm - well, three were enough for both Shade and Rogue, but they're are still more or less holding up, though with minimal success.)) Posted by Phoebe on Feb 23, 2007, 0:14 ((Meh...Picky picky picky. Lol. I'll work on that.)) Posted by Gambit on Feb 23, 2007, 0:41 (( I like order Virgos shouldn't be allowed to play Gambits - should be officially banned from it, actually, - but it's too late now )) Posted by Night Arcangel on Feb 23, 2007, 0:42 Feb 23, 2007, 0:12, Gambit wrote:(( Night Arcangel, please be so kind to read more carefully. 1) Lasagna was ordered by Shade. 2) Gambit didn't make anything, he's the owner and the bartender. 3) His thoughts about drinking to forget are his thoughts, and you cannot reply to them unless you are using author's comments in double brackets.
