"Goodnight." Tabitha said over her shoulder and then walked into the bedroom. Closing the door and locking it. She went over and checked on Mark. Smiling, as she saw him sleeping peacefully. She then walked over towards the bed and got under the covers. Not able to let sleep hit her right away.

It was probably the second time that Morph had to sleep on this couch; the first one being his first day in this apartment when there had been no bed, and he had bought one the next day. So, sleepy as he was, he still spent some time turning back and forth, unused to this place. Plus, he kept trying to listen to how Mark was doing, and then reminding himself that Mark was in the other room.

Tabitha felt a bit weird sleeping in this room and she tossed and turned a bit in the bed. Finally she just laid on her back and let her eyes adjust to the darkness of the room, flickering over the ceiling and walls, more then occasionally landing on the crib Mark was in, feeling very protective of the red eyed boy. But, slowly her eyes began to droop.

Kevin did fall asleep eventually; the room was just neither-light-nor-dark enough for him to do so until the moon moved to the other side of the building and its light filled the room.
It was then that his brain went into a glitch, interpreting the light as the daytime. He got up and headed to the kitchen.

Tabitha fell asleep soon after her eyes began to tire. She stirred a bit as some sound reached her ears, but her mind took it as nothing, telling her to keep dreaming for a moment.

In the kitchen, Kevin perched up on the counter, acting a bit slower than usual, and reached for a pack of cigarettes. After he was done smoking the first one, he immediately took another one, then another - not acting consciously enough to open the window to let the smoke out.

Tabitha was finally roused up by the smell of smoke that had strayed into the bedroom she rubbed at her eyes before she fully comprehended the smell. She nearly jumped out of the bed as she got up, quickly checking on Mark, before making it towards the door. She slowly unlocked it and opened it, walking carefully out. The smoke didn't smell as though something other than a cigarette caught fire, so she wasn't too worried. She didn't know what to expect, so she was still precautious. Though, she really needed to open a window.

In the kitchen, Kevin was starting with the fourth cigarette, staring into empty space in front of him and undisturbed by anything that was going on.

Tabitha came to the doorway of the kitchen and stopped, seeing Kevin perched a top the counter, smoking. She remembered what he had said: 'Don't wake me up'. Though, it looked like he was awake and just enjoying a few ciggs, but he would remember to open a window. She didn't say anything and walked into the kitchen at a slow pace. Going over and opening the window, quietly. Keeping an eye on him, though, the whole time.

Kevin didn't react to Tabitha's walking in. He was just continuing with smoking; however, the amount he'd smoked would soon tell his body he'd had enough, although the signal was fainter than if he had been conscious - otherwise he would have stopped at the first or the second one.

Tabitha went to stand in front of him, a few feet away. She didn't know whether or not to take the cigarette out of his hand and get him back to the couch or let him finish it and then turn him in the direction of the couch. She took a step forward and reached a hand out to take the cigarette from him.

When the cigarette was taken from his hand, Kevin didn't notice it and his hand went back to his mouth automatically. His mind registered a change in the routine and moved on to the next step. He hopped off the counter, carefully walking around Tabitha (since his eyes were open to notice obstacles in his way), and headed back to the place he was used to sleep in - his bedroom.

Tabitha quickly put the cigarette out in the sink and hurried past Kevin to try and get to the bedroom first. Upon arriving at it she grabbed the door nob and closed it as quietly as she could, back against it and facing Kevin. "You're sleeping on the couch tonight." She said, firmly and pointed in the direction of the living room. Hoping that in this state he'd still get the message.

Kevin just sort of hovered in front of her, registering that the door was closed and he couldn't get in. He put his arm up against the doorframe and leaned his forehead against it, not sure where to go, as Tabitha's words didn't quite sink in yet.

Tabitha watched him and then reached out to take his hand. It seemed her words didn't get through, so she was going to have to lead him to the couch, which she started to do just that. "Come on." She murmured, hoping that at least that would sink in and he'd follow.
