Violet was startled by the noise of someone entering, but recovered quickly and smiled at the newcomer, the roller still in her hand. "Hello," she said cheerfully.

"No worries," Michael replied to Kurt. "It's good to see you, Kurt." He was wiping the paint off his fingers with a piece of cloth.

Kurt sorted in the young woman as one of the younger teachers who had been present at the theatre project and therefore decided that it would not be necessary to introduce himself again. He took off his coat and draped it over a stack of boxes before looking at the work they had done so far. "I hope you left the higher places for me to paint." he said with a small grin.

Violet continued painting, glad there was at least one other person here. This was such a good idea, and she was a little bummed that more people weren't into it. "There's still plenty of painting," Violet said with a slight laugh.

"I have a better idea," Michael suggested, picking up one of the boxes that were stacked near the window. He handed it to Kurt. "The lamps! They're all yours."

Kurt put down the box in front of him and opened it, starting to unwrap the lamps, having a short look up to see where they would have to be fixed. "Do we have any plans for the big opening yet?" he asked.

"Ooh! Is there going to be a party?" Violet asked excitedly. She loved parties.

"I don't know," Michael said. "It hasn't even occurred to me. What do people usually do when they open places?"

With an audible ´BAMF´Kurt made it up to somewhere near the ceiling, tail immediately wrapping around one of the bars, steadying himself against the wall while he started to fix the lamp. "Have a party, I guess," he called down to them, picking up on what Gravity had just guessed. "A little music, a little chat, something like that. I am sure there would be a few people showing up." He as very aware that the world was no happy place for mutants, having experienced this himself for a few times, but he had come to the conclusion that there were many people with a good heart and hoped that at least some of them would find the courage to show up.

Violet forgot her painting momentarily at the thought of a party. "I could help you plan a party!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together, which sprayed paint across her shirt and face. She immediately began spitting and wiping her eyes.

"Hey, easy there-" Michael said and went to get a piece of fabric that he kept around especially for incidents like that. He passed it to Violet. "Will it be too horrible of me to just dump the responsibility on you, then?" he asked. "I'm not good at organizing parties."

"I never organised a big party either," Kurt remarked from near the ceiling, now savely securing himself against the side beams. "Maybe we do something small. Like a little music, a little food. We could also ask the students, maybe some want to support us a little."

Violet laughed. "I don't know, guys. I don't know much about the organization, or who to invite, or anything." She finished wiping off a good portion of the paint, which left her pretty messy but functional. She turned back to where she'd been painting and added, "But I'd love to help however I can."

"It's great," Michael told her. "Seriously, though, a party is a minor thing compared to the efforts we're putting in now and will be putting in later when the group starts. Which is to say, if we can manage to renovate this place, we can manage anything else."
He had by now finished taping off the lower part of walls, and since he'd said he'd buy the paint the next day, he decided to switch to hanging shelves in the toilet that would double as the maintenance room, so a lot of stuff would be stored there.

Kurt had finished fixing the first lamp and, effortlessly using his powers, made a quick dash to the box to get a new one and up again to start fixing it. "We could always motivated some of the kids." he said. "maybe the one or other will want to help. Or we just ask around the city. Put up flyers, ask people to drop by and help. Maybe that could help starting up a little community."
