The taxi rolled up to the gates and Laura reached into her wallet to pay the driver. Stepping out of the taxi, she grabbed her duffel bag and closed the door. She watched as the yellow car drove away before looking at the mansion in front of her.
It had been a month since she'd last since this place and she hadn't really been in her right mind at the time. The device in her head was gone so Weapon X didn't have any more control over her, but there was still damage to her mind that was healing. Black areas in her memories she hadn't unlocked yet. It's gonna take time, kid Logan kept telling her that on their trip.
He had told her coming back to the mansion was the best option for her if she wanted to heal and make things right. Weather that was true or not she didn't know, but she did know Logan usually had her best interest at heart. Walking up to the gates, she rang the buzzer for someone to let her in.

Mysteriously the gate unlocks without someone calling to confirm her identity.

As the gates opened, Laura proceeded to enter into the grounds, but did it cautiously, though to the casual observer nothing would seem wrong. She smelt the air, but there was just too many students around and without know which one to focus on she couldn't track them. Laura continued toward the mansion's door.

The Mansion door swung wide and Nicholas smiled as Laura walked the last distance to the door.
"Well darn, now I'm not the latest returnee and you will get all the attention. Actually they haven't given me much attention. Fate of the world stuff. Same old, same old."
He stepped aside to let her in.

"I am not one for attention anyway," Laura said walking in, giving Nicholas a nod of her head, but no smile was seen on her face. "What do you mean "fate of the world"?" She shifted her duffel bag placing it over her shoulder like a backpack do to there being a second set of straps allowing her to do so. Every time Laura seemed to arrive something was going on.

"No, I do not know what you are talking about," Laura hadn't heard anything about a prophecy and Logan hadn't mentioned anything to her before she had returned. Dealing with her own demons at the time and all. "What prophecy? Who is involved?" She might not know anything about it, but she might recognize someone in it.

Laura listened, but only recognized one of the mutants. Magneto, but he never seemed like a follower. "One of the mutants seems to be Magneto. Anyone else you know of?" If they knew who the creators of the artificial intelligence was going to be then maybe Xavier or someone could do something before it became to late.

Nimrod interrupted his probability calculations to respond to Laura's guess. "The only other magnetic mutant in my records for being in the area is Lorna Dane. She is rooming here. As for the others, I'm wide open and curious."

Lorna Dane? Another mutant she didn't recognize, though depending on Lorna's personality she could be from this prophecy considering Magneto didn't fit. "I don't know this Lorna Dane, though I don't know many of the residents here," She stated. "Any of your records show anyone capable of creating an artificial intelligence?" The more they knew, the more they could prepare. That is what she had been taught anyway. Know thy enemy.

"Cypher, Tron, Forge, Network, and others by using their powers. More if you include those with the brains to just program it. The sentinel tech we captured could be adapted with genius and luck, and I was a lesser Artificial Intelligence."

"I assume Xavier and the team are already looking into these leads to prevent the prophecy from coming true?" Knowing Xavier the way she did, he probably already knew who the prophecy was meant toward.
