She stared at him for a long moment and even though Kurt did not comment on that or neither did he blush or behave in another teenage-y way it did cause a slight awkwardness that he just chose not to show openly though, even though it was there.
Finally Weaver broke the awkwardness with that small smile. "Well." he said with a small chuckle in return. "it´s easier when you look like a demon, that´s for sure."

Iris scowled, "I could be more threatening, really I could," she said trying to look serious before her lips began to quiver and she laughed. It was a silly concept on itself, she was afraid to use her powers for basic defense, she wouldn't try to scare or harm someone. She blinked her eyes a few times as she thought of herself surrounded with a light purple aura. She wasn't using thread as a weapon, instead she was molding her powers into long strands and striking out.
Iris shook her head, how odd, she rarely thought about such things. Her head pounded a little and she rubbed her temples. The buzzing of the nearby students grew intense, enough for her to have to throw up extra barriers, which in her mind were layers and layers of mesh blocking out the noise.
Her face had grown gray, "Kurt, I'm suddenly not feeling well, I think I need to go lay down," she murmured getting up and slowly putting away her sewing supplies into her craft bag.

Kurt frowned a little at her sudden change of mood. He had meant to reply something to her humorous remark on being dangerous but didn´t since with the change in her expression, that little jest suddenly seemed to have lost relevance.
He moved away from where he was standing, still leant against the window frame, crouching down with her and helping her to pack her things. "What´s happened?" he asked, slight concern in his voice.

"Nothing, just a little spasm with my powers. It happens, I have so many different thoughts flowing in and out of my mind sometimes I pick up some...less then pleasant things. Normally, I'm able to block them a little but this one was particularly strong," Iris said her hands shaking enough that she dropped the pin cushion. She went to pick it up and stumbled a little, she shook her head. "I'm always so clumsy afterwards."
She took a deep breath, this made her feel a little better, but the ache in her mind was still there. Some of the color came back to her cheeks as she sighed. "Don't look so concerned," she said softly, she didn't want it to show but that look was so endearing. "It's a telepathic thing, sometimes some of us get glimpses of future events, possibilities, it's no big deal, really."

What she described sure didn´t sound like something all too pleasant nor something that should be taken too lightly. He wondered briefly whether he had been thinking something that could have caused her sudden dizzyness or confusion but could not recall any particularly unusual thought.
"Still you should be careful about it." he said. "Does that happen often?"

"No not often, but more recently," Iris said a fine line appearing on her forehead. She hadn't thought about it, but these snatches did seem to happen closer and closer together. Then again she couldn't tell what these snatches unless they were about herself. At any time it could have just been someone's thought so she was never sure.
"Don't look so worried," Iris murmured again reaching out and cupping the side of Kurt's cheek in a comforting manner. "I'm stronger then I look, I'll be fine. Besides, this vision was about myself and I'll never be so violent. Well, unless, something happens to the people I care about and I have to defend them. Even then," her voice trailed off a little as she seemed to think about this.
"I wouldn't be so cruel," she said remembering the cold, emotionless face she had seen on her own normally gentle features.

Kurt narrowed his eyes a little at her words. Not having seen what she had seen it was difficult for him to keep track on her train of thoughts but he could tell that it apparently worried her more than she let show. "Powers can be a curious thing," he said, his voice calm. He could feel her hand on his cheek, she seemed to be seeking contact like that, he wasn´t quite sure what to make of it. "Maybe you should ask the professor about it. He knows quite a lot."

"No!" Iris spoke a little to loudly yanking her heand back from Kurt's cheek as if she was burned. She couldn't do that, she couldn't bare what he might tell her, or what he would see in her mind, or if he saw all of her thoughts. She didn't want to be ripped open like that, studied, critizised. What if he told her she was going insane, or she was dangerous, or if these grasps of visions were true. She didn't want to know, she wanted to remain innocent from such thoughts.
"I can work this out on my own," she said quietly, though she couldn't convince herself of what she was saying. She drapped the dress over her arm and forced a smile. "Please don't worry about it, it's nothing, I won't let what I saw happened," she reached out and took his hand. "You shouldn't be so concerned about me, it breaks me a little on the inside to see you this way."

Kurt´s frown deepend a little at the intensity of her reaction and he instantly wondered whether she had maybe made some bad experience with fellow telepaths that caused her to be so rejective. He didn´t ask her that since he didn´t consider it anywhere near his place to do that but instead helped er pack the rest of his things. Her reaction to his concern was stronger than he had expected it and he wondered about that too. "I am concerned about things that look like they need concern." he said calmly. "And I didn´t mean to scare you with my suggestion, I just wanted to help."

Iris frowned a little as Kurt pulled away to help pack the rest of her things. She ran a hand through her bangs and felt fustrated. He was so kind and sweet to worry about her, but it was like an older brother would worry. She chewed on her bottom lip, disappointment coursed through her body leaving an ache larger then the one in her head. A hardness appeared in her eyes as she thought. She could make him, she could easily. At the instant she thought this she felt guilty to the point of tears. No, it wouldn't be fair, and there would be no more talking to one another, his smile, or the way his hair would fall on his brow.
She felt like the worst person in the world and quickly gathered the rest of her things and shoved them into her craftbag and taking the items from Kurt's hands. "You really shouldn't show me such concern," she took a deep breath and turned away and headed out of the room. "It makes me hope too much," and with that she ducked out of the room, the door shutting behind her.

Kurt remaiend behind, looking after her strangely, his brow furrowed in confusion. That had been sudden, he thought and was still trying to comprehend what had just happened. It was natural for him to show concern, to care about people and she was a kind, friendly girl and he considered her an easy going, nice person he liked to have conversations with, someone that he could imagine calling a friend even once he knew her a little better.
Had he said something inconsiderate, he wondered? And what had she been referring to with making her hope? It didn´t make much sense to him unless...no, that didn´t sound likely, he thought, brushing it off. But thena gain she had been acting a little off around him. He had considered it one of her typical traits, nothing that bothered him but now he felt bad for obviously irritating her with it.
