(Happens about a week after "A Mutant Meeting")
Dressed in a pair of double knee ripped jeans, one whole bigger then the other and a dark color t-shirt, Michael took a walk around the city. He'd only been to New York once before and he hadn't actually been in the city. Plus he had other things on his mind, such as Kylie. He shook his head, putting the thoughts of Kylie away. He didn't want to think about her, not today. Letting out a sigh, he felt the electricity dancing on his fingertips but he didn't care. Michael just kept walking looking at the busy city.

Jodie's OutfitJodie was tired of being in the mansion, and it had been a while since she had gone back to the city. So of course Jodie had planned on coming down for the day just to get her city fix. Sure she liked Westchester, but she enjoyed the city life. She didn't bring her dogs with her though, it was too much of a hassle to do so, so instead she left them behind at the mansion. After hanging out with a friend of hers before she had to go to work, she then found herself alone again but wasn't ready to go back up to Westchester yet so instead she wandered down the streets of Manhattan, trying to figure out what to do. Eyes scanning around she came across something that wasn't normal, but not totally surprising either. She saw electricity moving about on some strangers hands and she rose her gaze to put a face to this power.

Michael wasn't paying attention and when he looked up he almost bumped into a girl with red hair. He threw up his hands in an attempt to stop himself and the electricity increased sending mini shocks off his hands. Michael's expression just about went blank with not knowing what to do. He quickly closed his hands and placed them at his side. "Uh...sorry wasn't watching where I was going"

Jodie couldn't remember seeing him around the mansion, so she was curious as to who this guy was. However she found herself almost bumping into him, not even taking into consideration how close she was to him. She felt slight static on her, even though his hands hadn't touched her. "It's fine." She said softly before looking up at him. "Don't worry, it's not something I'm not used to seeing." Jodie explained to him, hoping he'd get what she meant by that.

Panic ran across his face before it changed to stern. "What is this place, mutant city?" It seemed everywhere he turned Michael was running into mutants or someone who knew about them. Granted, the girl knowing about him was his own fault but still.

A slight frown fell upon her lips at his attitude, "No, but I'm sure there's quite a few of us around here right now." She told him with slight disdain to her tone.

"Good to know" He felt the electricity start to build up again and opened his left hand to shoot a few sparks off into the pavement discretely. "So, what's your power Ms.?" He asked trying his best at being polite but he still had a hint of attitude to his voice.

Jodie followed his hand from his pocket and noticed a few sparks move towards the pavement before looking back up to him. "Jodie," She told him before going on "and I can talk to animals." Okay, so it wasn't the greatest power out there, but she liked it.

Inside Michael was kind of impressed. He would have loved to know what his dog was thinking when he was little, but the bitterness inside him came to the service instead. Michael gave a slight chuckle. "Talk to animals uh? What use is that?"

This guy, no correction, boy was becoming more and more ridiculous by the minute. His attitude was less than impressive and certainly didn't want to make her stick around to continue this little 'chat'. "A lot. Like if I wanted that dog over there to attack you," She stopped and nodded her head in the direction of the Siberian Husky mix that someone was walking; "I could do that. Of course, that would be rude of me." Jodie said in a sullen tone, hoping he'd get the hint and lose the attitude.

Turning to look where she was looking Michael saw the dog and gave a slight nod of his head."You've... made your point," He said turning back to her. Michael had known he was being rude but he hadn't expected her to call him on it. Most people either continued fighting or just walked away. "Name's Michael"

A smirk came to her lips when he told her that she made her point. "Good." She thought to herself. She nodded her head once when he told her his name. "So, are your first impressions always like this? Or am I just special?"

Michael shrugged. "Always like this" He admitted. Frankly, he was so angry with everything that he seemed to have lost the person he was before he met Kylie. "Though you're the first one to threaten me with a dog,"

"That's nice to know." Jodie said sarcastically as she crossed her arms over her chest. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh though when he admitted to her being the first to threaten him with a dog. "There's a first time for everything, right?"

"Yeah, though I don't think I'd have much of a problem if one came at me" He made his blue eyes start to spark to show her why. "I'd be more afraid for the dog" Michael changed his eyes back giving her a smirk.
