"It doesn't bother me," ::Pietro told her, and that was true; they had had past misunderstandings about it, and perhaps in retrospect they had never cleared up that it was only use of powers that could bother him, not powers themselves. He trusted her not to invade his body, just as he trusted Wanda not to hex him out a window and Uncle to keep his thoughts to himself, the last of which...usually happened.
What concerned him was that it appeared to be a lapse, rather than a conscious usage, and that was peculiar.::

::Pietro knew that as well; he paid close attention to her. He suggested,:: "It could be stress."

"Maybe." She didn't point out that it had only happened after some of the stress had lifted, rather then before, instead shaking her head. "Just a fluke."

::Pietro nodded slightly, but he remained concerned for her. He knew power "flukes," and he knew what it was to have an uncontrollable manifestation. He always noticed, and although he thought himself a better judge of character than most, he did not consider himself unusually perceptive. That she hadn't noticed was a concern.:: "Should we go inside?"

She nodded; it was growing noticeably colder and even with her jacket, inside and warm sounded better.

::Pietro let slip her hands from his and gathered his small stack of books. With one arm, he pressed them against his chest, and he extended the other to her, for her to take.::

She took the offered hand, putting up a small, light shield about them both against the rain as they stepped outside.
