::Tiboldt wrote that down on the back of the resume as well, then underlined the "waiting tables," aspect. Many who broke into different aspects of entertainment waited tables; he himself had been a bartender when his act had first been put together.:: "So I shouldn't expect any references?"

Wanda shook her head. "I doubt any of the restaurant owners I worked for spoke a word of English, let alone knew how to write a reference letter in the language."

"Hmm," ::Tiboldt said, as he circled the "out of the country" part of his note. He then flipped her resume over.:: "I also see that the address you put down is a school in the suburbs. Do you have teaching duties there?"

Wanda shook her head. "I help maintain the school and property, mostly. My adoptive parent owns the property and runs the school, actually," She told him. And that was mostly true, though truer during the time when her peers had gone off to school and left Uncle alone, and he needed help maintaining the property. But now she still helped with the gardens, and did chores like everyone else.

::Questions regarding her adoption were hardly Tiboldt's business, and so he asked none, despite normal curiosity, though he made a few more notes. Her work history was peculiar, he admitted, and hardly reflective of an interest in magic.:: "Did you get a chance to talk to Jack and Bruce?"

Jack and Bruce were Mr. Tiboldt's former assistants, and he had given her their contact information. Wanda nodded. "Yes, I was able to speak to both of them." They had had nothing but good things to say about Mr. Tiboldt, and had assured her that he was a fair boss and very good to work with.

::Tiboldt smiled at that; both men had been marvelous assistants, but had gone on to bigger and better things.:: "With that in mind, why - exactly - do you want this job?"

"I've always wanted to act," Wanda admitted. "And I figured that this job would be a great start, working on stage and dealing with a crowd. And part of me has always loved magic, the real and the sleight of hand."

::That was a good answer, Tiboldt had to admit. Having always loved magic himself, it was easy to earn a smile from him by speaking in such a way. He made note of that as well.:: "And what skills do you have that would qualify you?"

Wanda thought for a moment. "I would say my eagerness, ability to follow directions, and my own brand of magic." This was accompanied by a somewhat rueful smile, as she referred to her mutant abilities.

::That answer certainly caught Tiboldt's attention and he regarded her curiously.:: "What brand of magic would that be?"

His expression was of curiosity, and Wanda could not detect anything further. And besides, he was bound to find out about her mutation anyway. And if it disgusted him, she would rather not work for him anyway. "Mutation," Wanda said, a hint of pride in her voice. "I have control over probability."

::The expression of curiosity intensified at the answer. *That* was a talent that could be put to use. Tiboldt was not a mutant, although he had met his fair share of them over the years and never thought twice about it. It was hard to work in nightclubs and circuses, and to do his bachelor party performances, and yet hold prejudice over something as benign as mutation.:: "What kind of control over probability? Tell me all about it."

"I can manipulate the probability of objects. I'm limited to my line of sight, but I can manipulate the laws of physics in regards to the direction and momentum of most objects, regardless of size," She informed him.
"I cannot control the effect directly." She pointed to the glass of water in front of her. "For example, I can 'hex' the glass to do something it wouldn't normally do, like jump off the table. But I can't guide the glass the entire way or control how it lands." That was beyond her.

::That was extremely interesting, and Tiboldt nodded in comprehension, another smile on his lips.:: "That's quite a gift."
