Wanda had, after talking to Pietro, gone and told her Uncle that she was applying for a job. After going through the same questions that Pietro had asked, Wanda had been giddy and excited the rest of the day. This morning she woke up early and made sure to dress nice for the interview.
With ample time before her interview, Wanda ate something quickly and took one of the Institute's cars to drive into the City. The interview was at one of the nightclubs where the magician performed, closed until around six and perfect to interview candidates in. Wanda parked in a garage nearby and walked to the building and knocked on the front door. She was twenty minutes early, but perhaps she could wait inside until it was her interview.

::Maynard Tiboldt was a man some ten years Wanda's senior, who had made his entire career as a stage magician and entertainer. He performed at night clubs, which were his preferred audience, but had also been in circuses and had entertained the occasional birthday party. This particular nightclub "Oh What a Night" was run by a friend of his from University, and he always found a good audience there and good liquor. Eliot never minded when he conducted interviews here, and so he sat at a table near the bar with the information he had been given and a beer. It was afternoon, after all, and he could have one.::

Trying the door and finding it open, Wanda entered. "Hello?" She called, entering the building. After adjusting the the light inside, she saw a man sitting at a table near the bar. "Are you Mr. Tiboldt?" Wanda asked, walking over to him.

::Tiboldt rose from the table at a voice. He turned, and saw an attractive woman, who was undoubtedly Wanda.:: "Wanda Maximoff?"

Wanda smiled and nodded. "Yes, that's me," She affirmed. "I apologize, I'm a bit early." She looked at her watch.

::Tiboldt reached into his breast pocket to remove a pocket watch; twenty minutes early, hardly a large problem. And he would prefer someone early to being late. He held his hand out to take hers.:: "It's all right. Please, sit down. Would you like a drink? I have free run of the bar."

Wanda shook his hand, and walked over with him to his table. "Water would be fine, thank you," She said pleasantly.

::Tiboldt shook her hand and then let it go, before stepping back. He went over to the bar, and filled a glass with ice water, before setting it down before her on the table. Then he sat down.:: "Do you want to get started early, or would you like to talk about movies for the next eighteen minutes?"

When Tiboldt sat the glass in front of her, she took a polite and thirsty sip as he sat down. When he spoke, she gave him a polite smile. "That would be entirely up to you, I should think, depending on whether or not you have another interview after mine."

::She was polite; Tiboldt liked that in an assistant. Part of the charm of the performance came from manners.:: "Let's get started, then. I've no more interviews after yours, but I have three performances tonight."

Wanda nodded, accepting that. He was a busy man, and liked to get down to business. That was fine with her. "By all means, then." She gave him a nod to begin whenever he saw fit.

::Tiboldt picked up the resume she had submitted and reviewed it to begin his questions.:: "I notice a large gap in your employment history beginning a few years ago."

Wanda nodded. "I decided to travel in Europe with my brother during that time," She informed him. She and Pietro had tried to go to University, but left and returned to Uncle, just as the new wave of students came and their peers returned to teach. When it became obvious Uncle would not be left alone, the two of them headed off to the old country.

::Tiboldt made a note of that on the back of her resume with a pen; he tended to take copious notes during interviews.:: "Did you work in Europe?"

Wanda gave a half-shrug. "It was impossible to find a consistent job because we traveled extensively, but my brother and I found work under the table where we could. I mainly waited tables in restaurants, and my brother found manual work at construction sites and such." Pietro was good at that, because he was stronger than normal humans, and could get the work done very quickly.
