Ty hadn't particularly expected this sort of scenario, and blinked when the maze shimmered into existence. "Ok, I take it I need to get to the center?"

"Correct," ::The Professor's voice echoed over the speaker system.:: "Cheating in this context is going over, not going through. Have at it."

"What about telekinesis?" she asked, half knowing the answer.

"If you destroy the maze, then you can never reach the center," ::The Professor replied, an added bit of philosophy outside of the classroom. She had arranged this to teach herself control of her transparency, and to do otherwise would not meet standards.::

Ty couldn't help rolling her eyes at the philosophy, but said "All right," and started off to the left. After about a minute of walking she came up against a wall. After a second of concentration, she turned transparent, her form green and ghost like, including her clothing. It stayed for a second, then sputtered and she was herself again.

::The Professor monitored her closely from where he sat in the Observation Lounge. She would need to maintain it for long enough to pass through the hedge, lest she become stuck. However, he had chosen hedges and not solid walls for that reason; should she become stuck, she would be uncomfortable, but able to breathe.:: "Clear your mind."

((Oh, ow, now that is a mental image))
"I don't think that's the problem," Ty said, just from the feeling that it wasn't her necessarily who couldn't change form. She took off her coat. "It's designed to help suppress my powers." Nimrod had included many useful things into that coat, but now was not the time. She hadn't anticipated it working against such a comparatively low power use.

((OOC: You know there is always a method to my actions...))
::The Professor watched her remove Nicholas' coat; the would provide an external inhibition.:: "Drop it anywhere; it will be fine when we finish. Then try again."

She laid the coat carefully down, then stood and concentrated again, and this time the transparency stuck. She passed through the hedge with little difficulty...up until the end. Her trailing hand was left in the hedge, and she had a branch going straight through it. "Wonderful."

::That was more than problematic; it posed a safety and health concern. The Professor's hand rested over the cancelation button for the scenario.:: "Are you in pain?"

She bit back the first reply, which was 'What do you think?' for a better one. "Some. Not as much as it looks like I should be."

::The Professor's natural inclination was to cancel the scenario, but the experience was not upsetting her, and for the moment, he thought to treat it as he would with Logan. That is, to let it continue and use other problem solving methods.:: "Take a moment, and then try again."

She nodded, then stopped and stared at her hand briefly. It turned vaguely transparent, then fully, and she pulled her hand away from the hedge, flexing the fingers once they were solid again. "Good as new."

"That is relieving," ::The Professor said over the loudspeaker, although he would check her hand himself when they finished here.:: "Are you ready for something more complex?"

"....Yes." she said after much hesitation.
