Advertising Post

The advertising post we're using generally is here:

If you can't see it, let me know. I'm going to be going back periodically and editing it so that we don't have an outdated advertisement.

If in advertising elsewhere you want to use the graphic that's currently with the advertisement (thanks, Kitty!!! ) please save it to your own Photobucket or other graphic account, so my bandwidth doesn't go out the window.

Place to Advertise:

Livejournal: The mods are currently taking care of Livejournal advertising, but other players might know of places on there to advertise that we don't, so I'm still going to post a list of where we've advertised on LJ. The account that the advertisement is currently on is the main advertising account the mods are using; if you find a place to advertise on LJ that we haven't, you can link to that post instead of retyping everything. Just let us know where you put it up by posting on this thread.

Myspace: Kitty, I know we mentioned you doing Myspace advertising- if you want to start that up, you're definitely free to. If you can't anymore, please let us know and we'll work on it, or find a player who can.

Facebook: I admit to being mostly clueless about Facebook. We already have a community out there, but it's quite old. If anyone has any ideas, please post them.

Other Sites: If anyone finds another site to post this advertisement to, feel free. Just reply to this thread with where you posted it, and we'll update the list.

ubergeeks This comm unfortunately had members who pitched a fit over "unnecessary advertising" even though I'd been a member there for a long time. So, we're not putting an advert up there anymore.

I left comments open on the posts for people to ask questions if they want, but if the adverts start to get spammed, for those of you who advertise on LJ: I can show anyone who wants about how to shut down comments on a post, if it's allowed in communities you post to. I've seen stupid comments on LJ adverts before

Will advertising on YouTube become available again? I noticed you guys had a YT channel.

Technically it's still available, we just don't have it on the bottom of the site because most of the videos have been taken down or aren't relevant anymore. Added to that, the Youtube group itself is outdated. However, if we have enough vid people on here (or just enough videos themselves), we could start a new group.

ETA: Ok, we do have some vids there that are still good, however most of them aren't. If we could narrow the group down to the ones that are relevant and just add new ones, that would be good, but I'm Youtube clueless short of watching the videos themselves.
