Maya watched with wide eyes as he got to his feet. He was supposed to be dead. She just put on a brave face and resumed her fighting stance, ignoring the pain coming from her stomach.

Astral was beginning some kind of mental mantra to calm herself, something she had never needed to do before. But the fighting around her, as distressing as it was, was angering her. Astral was rarely angry, but now she was really knowing what it felt like. "Don't think you made that much of an impression," she snapped, unable to stop herself.

"Well then, I must make one today." Paige retorted before running at her, arm out in attempt to knock Astral in the neck, in the wrestling world this would've been called a clothesline. Damn her brothers for watching wrestling, but it did come in handy in times like these.

With a growl, Logan burst into a run towards Maya, the word's of the Professor not wanting casualties fleeing from his mind. He had his own sense of right and wrong, and one murder deserved another.

Spotting Logan on his feet, he followed the man's gaze towards Maya. God, did he look f*cking pissed, and thanks to the blood staining Maya's shirt, she also didn't look ready to fight. Scrambling to his feet, he raced over towards Maya, and skidded to a halt in front of her. Without thinking, he sent more fire in Logan's direction, as the man raced towards them.

Si had heard the ice boy's shout, and, setting aside the oddness of one of the X-men warning John about anything she looked. Damn! These people never die! She traced his line of sight and she found Maya, obviously wounded and still trying to fight. When she saw John provide a temprorary shield for the wounded girl, Si swooped in, arms out infront of her. She only hoped she was strong enough for what she was going to try to do.
"Maya!" she cried as she neared her teammate "Grab on to me!"

Though Astral was still glowing bright, and hot as a result, it depended on Husk's skin what effect it had, but the strength was nowhere near her possible potential. As Husk ran at her, Astral froze in shock. Fighting talk was one thing, but she had never lifted a finger offensively. She didn't know how to dodge the attack apart from trying to shield her face with her arms. It meant her neck wasn't caught, and the force instead knocked her off her feet.

Bobby cursed himself for an idiot as his armor finally fixed. He glanced back at the girl in the air. "You have caught me on a very bad day." He sent a jet of ice her way with one hand.
"Will this ever f**k**g end?" he growled as the ice started to become his flesh.

Logan let out a yell of pain at the flames, trying to shield himself, but it only burnt his arms instead. Luckily the uniforms were worn today, so it staved off any initial burns. He was stopped for now, but this was only making him angrier.

Maya had closed her eyes and waited for what was to happen and then opened them at hearing Siryn. She looked to see John in front of her and not thinking twice. She jumped and grabbed ahold of Siryn.

Hearing Siryn's voice, yelling at Maya, John then continued to send the fire towards Logan. It would only slow him down, John knew that, but at the same time, it was all he had. He wasn't about to run away either. Not until it was a last resort. Taking a step towards Logan, he increased the intensity of the flames.

When Astral fell to the floor, she turned around before moving to kick her in the ribs, unless Astral was able to block it.

Siryn dipped a little before she adjusted to carying someone, then shot up to the ceiling, holding on to Maya as tightly as she could given the other girls injury. "Your just lucky I don't have to use my arms to fly." She joked half heartedly before flying for the exit. It was the only place in the room that had a clear area she could land safely in, plus there was an upturned desk she could put Maya behind for safe keeping.

Since Astral had fallen to her back and become stunned quite quickly, she only realised she was being kicked when she felt the pain and immediately cried out, the tough skin of Husk's body easily damaging her. Her hands flew to her ribs, trying to combat the pain, but it didn't work.

Jaw clenched, she moved her foot back. Waiting for Astral to do something, if she did anything. She had changed her skin to a diamond like texture, which made her skin very tough at the moment.
