"Er, I guess so," Kyra admitted, shrugging slightly. "Though I try to keep my instincts under control, I got that cautious kind of twitchy feeling." The feeling that made her other half's tail twitch in agitation.

Rahne scratched absentmindedly at the side of her head. "Wolfie there kept growlin' at me. Used ta be she ruled the show, but we're comin' to an accord." Realizing finally that she had been scratching her ear she dropped her hand to her lap and offered up a lop-sided smile. "Of course that's one of the side-effect, puppy behavior."

Kyra chuckled. "Yeah, I guess I tend to act more feline at times than others. But I don't let it control me anymore." She had the training to thank for that.

"So what do ye guys do fer fun around here anyway?" Rahne asked, twisting her head this way and that to see if there was anything going on on the lawn. "I've been practically living in the library since I got here... almost scared to come out."

Kyra laughed. "Really? Another bibliophile, geez. I have stacks of books from there all over my room." It was amazing, to think they had so much in common.

"Yea" Rahne chuckled. "It's somethin' like that. And ye know, for all that ye are a cat, feline instead of canine, we still have that big animal thing in common. Ye still kind of smell like kin ta me, but not as much as-- Well anyway, that makes two of ye in 24 hours. This place is like paradise!"

"Huh? Yeah that's right!" Rahne chuckled "I almost forget I have an accent half the time, just because I'm so used ta hearin' it. That's where I lived before..." she stopped and turned her head to look out over the lawn smiling sadly "They didn't mean to hurt me ye know. It's just, they didn't know what ta do with a wolf-girl, especially when they used to have a nice human daughter. That's all."

Kyra nodded sagely. "My mom was the same way. I used to be nice and normal, and then I'd have nightmares and start shredding the mattress or eating stray animals."

Rahne looked at Kyra for a moment as if trying to process what she just said and laughed. "Well then ye can imagine how my mum and da felt when they caught a wolf in their back yard chasing birds and it turned in ta me with feathers in my hair. It's why I'll never blame them." Ra concluded, leaning back on her elbows and watching the clouds roll by.
