"Thank you for that," ::Odin said to Golem, referring to him picking up the tab for the next round. It would be nice to have a drink he hadn't paid for, which was out of pattern. Usually, he found himself buying drinks, rather than vice versa.
He agreed with Golem's point about being careful, and with Morph's rather amorphous point about nothing getting easier. He was the youngest of the three of them by a few years, and likely the most idealistic in many ways, but even he knew that life just grew more complicated.:: "Getting the best out of it's easier said than done. This is going to explode on us all."

"One of the reasons I never give out my real name to anybody," Morph said. "So if anything, you can always come up with a random name and blame it all on me," he chuckled, then drank some more of his beer. "How are you all going to name yourselves in the magazine issue?"

Elias thought for that for a moment, finding it was a question he hadn´t consider it. "You mean an alias or something?" he asked. "I didn´t really think about that yet."

"I'd planned to just use 'Odin,' and let come what may from it," ::Odin said, before he took another sip from his drink. He'd disassociated himself from his given, human name, and considering it was a mutant magazine, he couldn't think of anything more fitting than to use his mutant name.::

"Think about it," Kevin said to Elias, "the issue will be out soon enough." He turned around in his chair, looked around the bar, then turned back to his companions again. "What do you think the Brotherhood wanted? They did destroy most of the rally footage, but that seemed like a side effect to me..."

Elias nodded to Morph´s words, thinking that he might just go for things the way Odin did, by using his mutant alias. He wasn´t someone who would make things more complicated than necessary and he didn´t really see a reason to make up something new.

::Odin had tried to puzzle out the answer to that very question ever since leaving the rally. In the few hours that has passed, he'd yet to find an answer. He'd replayed the events mentally several times, but he simply couldn't fathom it. Why disrupt their own rally? It baffled him in a way that made him uncomfortable; he wasn't accustomed to such feelings, not since he'd been a child.:: "As far as I can tell, a showing of muscle, and they wanted the religious protesters to leave. But I can't say for certain."

"I watched most of the event through the viewfinder," Morph explained, "so I'm sure most if it slipped my attention." So much for an attempt to play a reporter.

Golem sighed inwardly, because he had to admit that it was probably pretty much the same with him. "I didn´t see much more either I guess." he said. "we were too far off to be able to observe details and there were plenty of bystanders running around." It was probaly a good idea to keep eyes and ears open in the days that were to come.

"Chaos took over," ::Odin agreed, before taking a long sip from his drink, which drained it. He would need the next, which Golem had so kindly agreed to pay for. Despite his abilities, his observation skills, and his memory, it had been far too much to take in at once. Perhaps with time, he would be able to sort it out, but at the moment...His concentration had been on trying to help Xavier's people disperse the problem and do crowd control.:: "People not involved started getting nervous, and their powers went off."

"Yeah, well," Morph said, "I'm not surprised. Everybody is bound to lose control when things like these happen... humans, mutants... Something tells me another such event won't happen too soon."

Morph was probably right, Elias thought. After the havoc that had been going on at the rally, people would most likely abstain from things like that, at least for the time being. Even though he figured that what had been going on there would get quite someattention through the public media which in turn could turn against many of them according to how things were presented. "Likely." he said, propping his chin on a hand thoughtfully. "still all the more important there´ll be a magazine reflecting on events like this from an angle many others might not see otherwise." It would add to the confusion of people not knowing what to think about mutants in many places, and often fear and hatred was the answer, but maybe the magazine could add in spreading the tolerance, Golem thought. It would be a nice addition to the generally interesting concept of writing for a mostly mutant readership.

::Odin knew it also, which had been a great source of frustration these past few hours. They'd had a single chance to demonstrate that they were civilized. That they were more. Instead, this had become a disaster.:: "As long as we don't take the Friends of Humanity viewpoint."

"The who?" Morph asked. He wasn't certain he hadn't head the name before, but right now he was unable to place it.

Golem had to admit he was just as clueless about who that group was as Morph seemed to be. All he could do there was guess. "The religious protesters?" he asked, venturing a guess into the blue.
