::It had begun, as most facets of Odin's life, with a telephone call. A single call that had changed his life. Usually, these calls would send him to another part of the country, but this time, it sent him over the edge. Emotionally, not physically. He remained in his apartment in Manhattan.
After fifteen minutes of telling himself he was bigger than this, that he was homo superior, that he was more, he could take it no longer. With his keys and a wallet filled with ten dollar bills, he hailed a taxi cab and was dropped off a block from the Hellfire Club. He walked that block in record time, entered, and bought himself a rum and coke. He wouldn't be drinking safely tonight.
A half hour into the evening and three drinks in his stomach with neither food nor water to flush his system, he was already gone. Mentally, emotionally. Physically, he was still in Manhattan, where he no longer wished to be.::

It had been a few months since Paige had last gone to the Hellfire club, and decided it was about time she went there again. She liked it there, especially since everyone was a mutant, and the nice music selection they had. After getting ready, Paige had taken the long train ride to New York City. Entering the club, she looked around. She was wearing a black crop top and a pair of form fitting jeans, her hair was down and straight, her fringe to the side.
Her gaze fell upon someone who looked familiar, and a smile came to her lips when she realized who it was. Walking over to the man she took a seat next to him, "Fancy meetin' you 'ere." She said in a southern accent, the smile never leaving her lips.

::To say Odin was tipsy would be an understatement. His sense had gone off nonstop when he had come within range of the establishment, which happened when only mutants were allowed inside, and he'd finally let it hum passively in the back of his mind, paying it no attention. As such, he hadn't felt the stronger buzz of a familiar X-factor.
He recognized that voice, however, although it took him a moment longer than it should have. Paige. That nice husking shapeshifter from Xavier's that he'd met in Central Park. Lifting a flushed face, as he always became when he drank unrestrained, he met her eyes.:: "Nice to see you too."

When he lifted his head she knew that look, he was drunk. A frown fell upon her features, he didn't seem like the type to drink that much. "You alright?" She asked, worry in her tone.

"I am now," ::Odin said with a lifted glass; it was already empty. Drinking did this to him, made him warm and happy. Uncontrollable. But happy. It let him forget what his memory never would when sober.::

Paige didn't know him all that way, but something was up with him. "You sure?" She asked, brows furrowing.

::Odin nodded, setting the glass down. He shifted over on the stool, as though that would make room for her.:: "Sit down. Let me buy you a drink."

"Uh...Okay." Paige said hesitantly as she took on a stool next to his.

::Odin smiled invitingly at her; when drunk, his personality flipped around one-hundred-eighty degrees. He hadn't taken her for being of age when they'd met, but apparently, he'd been wrong. Raising two fingers, holding a ten-dollar bill, he waved to get the bartender's attention.:: "What'll you have?"

Paige shrugged her shoulders, "A beer I guess." Okay, so it wasn't very lady like, but she enjoyed them.

"Thanks." She said to Odin, eyeing him briefly before glancing around the place. It was rather crowded tonight, and she wondered how his powers were acting now that he was around all of these mutants. Though she didn't ask him. "So, what brings you here?" She asked him, resting her chin in the palm of her hand as she looked over to him.

::After the waiter departed, Odin returned his attention to Paige. His glasses fell down his nose, and he pushed them back into place with a finger.:: "The drinking. What brings you out?"

"Just to relax for a bit." She said with a shrug, fixing her fringe idly she smiled a little. "Do you dance?"

"Very poorly," ::Odin admitted with a small smile. He thought back to the last club he'd been at, the human one. And the mutant girl...Figment had been her name. Searching through hazy memories, he remembered the rather poor job he'd done at coordination on the dance floor.::
