Stacy saw bare shoulders and before she could stop herself had quickly looked downwards, but was reassured that he had a towel around his waist. Her eyes swiftly returned to his face again, still a little wide, looking strained and tearful. "I don't know what's going on," she said somewhat breathlessly, still confused by the bombarding emotions and the pain that had come out of nowhere.

::Odin's hand tightened around the towel's ends to keep it in place; the last thing he wished was to have subjected her to his emotions and then flash her. Insult to injury indeed.
Her eyes were wide, and despite the growing fog on his lenses, he could see tears in them. Not surprising, considering how powerful this night's flashback was. That didn't mean she deserved to experience this, as she was truly an innocent bystander in all of this. Although she hadn't asked a question, she deserved an explanation, and he took another calming breath, forced his emotions back a bit more, before speaking.:: "I had a particularly bad nightmare, I'm afraid, and it had a bit of a physical component. I'm calming myself."

"Ok," she said softly, taking a moment to swallow and carefully exhale. "I just.. I just didn't know what was going on," she repeated faintly, shaking her head a little as she turned from the bathroom door.

"I'm sorry," ::Odin repeated, and he truly was. He didn't wish her to have to experience any of what he had this past night and in the hour - had it been an hour yet? - since he'd awoken. He repressed the guilt, however, as she didn't need that any more than she needed the pain or the fear.:: "Did you get the pain?"

Stacy stopped walking when he spoke, hesitating a moment before she responded in a soft tone. "Yes," she replied.

::Odin was in a peculiar position; to ask where implied that he'd experienced it in multiple places, and if she hadn't felt both, it was an admission he'd prefer not to make. Particularly considering the second location. It brought to mind an interesting question: could a woman experience such a pain, considering the different anatomies? It was an empirical study that would never see the light of day, as he couldn't imagine anyone volunteering for it. Once had been more than enough for him.
He pushed those thoughts from his mind as well, although interestingly enough, they kept his mood balanced; they were introspective, devoid of emotion. He was calm now, no longer in pain.:: "It's an interesting phenomenon; I'll try to shield you should it happen again."

"It's not your fault," she replied at that, but couldn't shake off the lingering feelings that remained in her sleep-fuddled mind. It would ease off soon enough, but the memory wouldn't. She turned slightly so that she could look towards him. "Are you alright?"

"Yes," ::Odin managed to reply, which required a mental justification through redefinition of "all right." Comparatively he was - both with how he had been at past points in his life and when he'd first woken this morning. These would pass.
As for his concerns, those would either dissipate or become realized, and he could work that out over coffee this morning, as he wouldn't return to bed.:: "It was just a nightmare and an old injury."

"Ok," she said softly. She contemplated giving him a hug, to try and ease off both of their emotions, but she had a feeling he wouldn't appreciate it when in naught but a towel.

::Odin gave her a small smile to illustrate the he was fine; he'd get past this. His hand remained in place, to keep the towel from slipping and embarrassing them both.:: "I'm going out to Dunkin' Donuts after this. You're welcome to come with me, but if you plan to go to bed, I can bring you something back."

"Sounds good," she agreed with a small smile. "Coffee? And something sugary to eat," she said hopefully, thinking she'd try and get a little more sleep since being disturbed.

::Odin had every intention of getting coffee, and at this rate, he might get a box of Joe to bring back; it'd be more manageable.:: "Sure. Would you prefer powder or frosting?"

Stacy considered a moment before replying. "Frosting," she said, giving him a small smile before she turned to continue back down the corridor and towards her bedroom.

::Odin nodded and watched her walk away. It was only when her bedroom door closed that he fully opened the bathroom door and walked towards his own bedroom, hand holding the towel firmly in place. Once safely inside, he finished drying and changed quickly, before grabbing his keys and wallet and leaving. The walk to Dunkin Donuts was a short one, but it would give him time to clear his head.::

Entering her bedroom again, Stacy crossed the room and headed back towards her bed. She flopped down lightly atop the covers, head meeting her pillow heavily, causing her dark green hair to fan out around her. She sighed a little as she watched the ceiling, falling quiet as she waited for Odin's return.
