::At least one of them would get sleep, and that was more than would have happened when Odin lived alone and had these bouts. He crossed back to the table and sat down. Waking was doing wonders for him, although he'd have preferred another few hours to a caffeine overload.:: "Good, at least one of us will get a night's rest, or a morning's."

"What woke you up?" she asked as she looked across to him over her coffee mug.

::Odin paused with the coffee to his lips. He'd have a split second to test what would suffice as an answer. His instinct was to keep it vague, he'd he'd see.:: "A particularly vivid nightmare."

She frowned a little at this, looking rather sympathetic. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked, offering him the chance to discuss what might be preying on his mind.

::Odin sipped the coffee, took a long moment to answer. Then he set it down and leaned back in the kitchen chair.:: "I'm not used to talking these matters over. I'm more used to letting them gnaw."

"Which probably isn't healthy," she replied at that, still watching him.

"It's probably not," ::Odin conceded. However, he was used to living alone and handling his emotions as he did his desires, by himself. He was sure it wasn't healthy, but it was a pattern he'd developed nonetheless.::

She wasn't going to force him to talk and instead looked down again, studying her coffee mug before she went back to drinking from it.

::Odin resumed enjoying his coffee for another minute or two. The realization of her abilities nagged at him, in terms of how he was likely disturbing her. Having a roommate was more of an adjustment in ways he hadn't taken into account.:: "If my feelings disturb you at any point, I'll apologize now."

"Don't worry about it," she told him with a airy smile and a wave of her hand to dismiss his concerns.

::Odin wouldn't usually, but he'd spent a great deal of time with an empath before. Which in turn brought his thoughts back to the letter he'd received, and the workings of the nightmare and after. He slid his glasses off and began to rub at his eyes; not the best beginning for a morning.:: "Hopefully you won't change your tune after staying here a month."

"Well, if I do, I'll make sure you know about it," she teased good-naturedly, keeping the smile on her face.

::That caused a more genuine smile to touch Odin's lips. For the moment, he was amused.:: "Feel free. I just ask that you do it a bit more subtly than staging an intervention for strong feelings, ropes and bondage included."

"No bondage?" she asked with a pout on her face as though she had been in fact planning on this.

"I'm sorry to disappoint," ::Odin said, playing along. He knew she wasn't serious, and although he was, in terms of not wanting bondage, he knew it wouldn't occur. Laudine Piercefield had spoiled so much this past year.:: "You'll have to just put me on the honor system should you host an intervention."
