Strype walked along the grounds, enjoying the day. It was absolutely beautiful. Picking a spot, she chose to lay on a particularly cushioned section of grass, just enjoying the sounds and smells.

Rahne had been laying it low quite a bit at the Institute. She stayed in her dormitory, or in the library, when she wasn't in the kitchen fixing herself a meal, or doing actual productive things. However, one early afternoon, Rahne couldn't help but to notice how gorgeous it was outside. The sky was clear, the air filled with smells of spring, and the weather warm, but not so hot it was sticky, and made breathing too hard.
Now she was walking along the grounds at a leisurely pace, a calm look crossing her features and a book in her hands. She headed away from the pool area, and the gardens, and sticked to where there were various trees and large stretches of grass, perfect to lay around on.

Strype was in her own little world, her eyes closed, humming a tune. When she stopped, she heard footsteps and her ears perked up. There was another student walking in her direction. A girl with bright red hair. Funny, she'd never seen her before. Strype sat up and watched her for a moment.

Glancing down at her book, it was only when Rahne had instinctively glanced up, that she spotted another resident sitting on the grass. The girl had stripes across her face, like a tiger, though Rahne wasn't quick to judge. After all, she was the one that could go all wolf when ever she felt the need to.
Smiling politely, she gave a small nod. "Hello there." She greeted, her tone light, but matched her smile in the polite factor.

When the other girl noticed her, she let the stripes fade back into her skin; she had just been bored and playing around, after all. No need to scare anyone. "Hello," she said, sitting straighter as the girl walked closer. "Pretty day, isn't it?" she asked her.

Rahne nodded, a bit surprised as she saw the stripes disappear, though she made no comment. "It really is." She added, looking up towards the clear sky.

She smiled gently, before patting the seat next to her. "Wanna sit?" She inspected the girl before her with genuine interest. She looked older than Kyra was, and certainly seemed just as shy as she was when she had first gotten here. But Pietro had strongly encouraged her to get to know people, those months ago, and she did.

"Sure." Rahne replied, moving to sit down beside the girl. After all, she hadn't met too many people since coming to the mansion, and meeting new people couldn't hurt. "I'm Rahne, by the way-" She added as an introduction.

"It's nice to meet you, Rahne," Kyra said, holding out her hand. "I'm Kyra. How long have you been at the Institute?"

"Oh, couple weeks." Rahne answered as she moved to shake the other young woman's hand. "Seems shorter than that, but yeah. Only a couple weeks."

"Nice place, isn't it?" She asked, smiling at her. "And the property is absolutely huge." It gave her a lot of space to run around, that was for sure. She still occasionally went on nightly runs, but she was in control of herself, now.

Rahne gave a small, 'mmhmm' sound, along with a nod, as she glanced around the property. She hadn't explored the grounds all that much, or even the actual mansion really. "Very nice. Though easy to get lost in, as well."

Kyra nodded. "It took me like, a month to figure out my way around here," She admitted. "Though I'm hardly proficient enough to give a tour, after being here for months."

"They should hand out maps of the place, upon enrollment." Rahne added with a smile, as a gentle breeze blew. "The place is large enough, to deserve its own map."

"Definitely," She agreed, smiling softly. "But after staying here for awhile, it's not so bad. I mean, I can find my way around pretty well. Have you been to the library yet?" The library was by far her favorite place to go; it had so many books.
