"Okay," the man said, walking around the car a bit. "So - production markers? Licence plates? Documents? What else?"
"Minor paint job," Gambit shrugged. "Prob'ly white. Dubs. Mebbe de roof an' seat covers if dere any noticeable marks on 'em. An' some old tyres, I guess."

Shade listened, following the stranger with her eyes. At the mention of the colour she tossed Gambit a quick glance. "About the paint job." she said, looking from Gambit to the other man. "could we make it a major one and change the colour to deep red?"

"Sho," Gambit shrugged and looked at his companion.
"Sure," the man shrugged as well.
"So... approximately when?" Gambit asked.
"We'll do the car in a couple of days, the papers take longer these days," the man scratched the back of his head, thinking. "Five days, maybe six."

Shade didn´t know how long she had expected this sort of thing to take - probably her ideas had been a little naive as five or six days were longer than she would have thought. Thinking about it, maybe it was good this way. It probably meant things were taken care off properly and it couldn´t bee too bad for the corvett to be off the street for a couple of days now that the police was probably looking for it. Meant her impatience to drive the car without worrying abot the number plate and colour would have to wait a little. She nodded.

"Bon," Gambit nodded. "I'll give ya a call in five days."
He went to the bike, putting his helmet on.

Shade had gotten the helmet out of the car when she had left it and now she followed Gambit, mounting the bike behind him, putting the helmet on. She still wasn´t feeling anywhere near tired yet which probably was a result of everything going on. For Gambit, the night had been routine, for her it was unknown and exciting.

Gambit started the bike and headed back to the city. He would need to repeat his trip to his apartment backwards to convince the building staff that he'd spent the entire time of the theft at home; plus, walking inside twice in a row would look weird already in itself.
However, for now his plan was merely to get back to the hotel.

The trip back to the hotel didn´t last as long as Shade would have expected, but her memory of the road was jumbled anyways as they had stopped first to try and steal the Jaguar and later to get the Corvett. And probably anxiety to be followed had made the road look longer, too. They didn´t take the exact same way back, but used a different crossing point at the border in order not to raise suspitions. A bike like Gambit´s passing the not too crowded border twice a night would look unusual. Especially since someone might notice that the driver of the car was now riding the bike.
Shade had no idea how late it was when they returned back at the hotel. The ride had made her somewhat tired and she stretched when she climbed off the bike and took off the helmet. "Do we take the fire ladder again or do we creep in?" she asked Gambit. Walking in through the main entrance at this time of the night might not raise immidiate suspitions, but would look unusual.

"Let's go creep in," Gambit agreed.
