She popped two of the large marshmallows into her cup and stirred them around. "I remember the day when this would have been ridiculous."

"I do not," ::The Professor replied. This was how difficult problems had been discussed in his childhood, and it had naturally carried over to operating the Institute. Sharing hot cocoa with students to discuss personal problems, power related or otherwise, was as natural as teaching his ethics class.:: "Have you been under undue pressure recently?"

"Pressure, yes, but I wouldn't call it undue," she replied, taking a sip. "I've got a small part in a play; we're in rehearsals."

::The Professor finished stirring in his mix, and then began to swirl the cinnamon stick into the cocoa. Considering what Typhoid had experienced in her young life, he would hardly warrant rehearsal for a play as being a cause.:: "And when you were with Pietro? Was there stress then?"

She turned a little red. "We had...things to talk about. But it happened when we'd just worked some things through. I was feeling relieved, not stressed out."

"A cathartic event could still be a triggering one," ::The Professor mused. He continued to stir in the cinnamon stick.:: "Although the three and a half week duration between events does not fit the theory."

"Maybe..." She didn't like this idea at all. "Maybe I'm supposed to be this way."

"Doubtful," ::The Professor remarked, before taking a sip of his cocoa.:: "The period between initial onset and these episodes is too great to indicate such a development. Which means, unfortunately, that it is another impediment to overcome, rather than one you can ease into."

"Great." She frowned into her cup. "I was already away from classes for so long when I was sick after St. Patrick's Day. 'Mutant issues' is becoming an old excuse."

"Despite the manner in which you contracted your illness, it did not qualify as a 'mutant issue,' many people have suffered such infections," ::The Professor remarked, although he knew that it was of little comfort.:: "I know several faculty at NYU, including the Dean of Sophomores; he is a sympathetic fellow."

She smiled a little, although she was uneasy with the idea of using connections to pave her way. "You know everyone. I'll see if I can talk to my instructors, first. After Monday I get the feeling that they might be happier if they didn't have a mutant freaking out in class."

"It is not using connections to pave your way," ::The Professor informed her, replying to the unexpressed surface thought. He was simply explaining that he knew the faculty at NYU were sympathetic and would not hold so called "mutant issues" against her education. To what she spoke, he asked,:: "Do you want to discuss specifics?"

She frowned at him, when he replied to what she was thinking rather then what she said, but didn't say anything otherwise; it would only provoke a bout of verbal sparring that she wasn't in the mood for. "You mean with what happened in class?"

"On Monday, yes," ::The Professor affirmed with a nod.:: "Unless you woudl rather not discuss it."

She didn't mind, and acceded with a nod, taking a drink before she spoke again. "The instructor stopped talking, and just started staring at me, asking if I had a problem. When I looked down, half my body was transparent. I couldn't solidify, so I changed form completely and left by going through the wall."
