"You are welcome," ::Xavier told her. He wheeled to her beside and began to prepare the sedative for her.::

She laid down, began to do what she had learned to do over the past two weeks.
The exoskeleton when disconnected became a stiff frame, not easy to move. Getting out on her own to sleep was a problem all it's own. She laid down flat, and toggled the tiny off switch installed in a fingertip, carefully situated so that only the most exact of movements would trigger it. The exo lay flat beneath her, and she undid the arm straps; those were easiest. She sat up on her own, her movement slow, exaggerated, and painful, to undo the leg straps. Her legs were basically useless, with minor surface feeling and stiff, unable to function. She lifted them one at a time out of the exo, then used her arms to lift her off the rest of the apparatus. By the time she was finished, her expression was bitten with pain, and she was angry and embarrassed.

::Xavier had spent the entirety of the time she removed the exo-skeleton with his eyes in his lap, supposedly for the purpose of preparing the sedative. However, he knew well the humiliation which came from such simple tasks when one had a disability, and it had taken years to develop the level of acceptance he had; he would not make her feel watched. Only when she was finished, did he lift his head, holding the syringe.:: "I am ready if you are."

The rain had lashed harder against the windows as her anger grew with the time she'd taken, and even after she was done, it didn't calm down. The telltale sign of hail, a loud pinging against the roof, made itself known. A particularly large chunk hit the window itself, and the glass cracked.
Her eyes turned to the window, then back to Xavier. "It has to be now, otherwise it will get worse."

::Xavier did not turn his head, as temptation might be, to the window at the sound of the impact. He would have someone check it later. Instead, he projected his acknowledgment, and reached for her arm. He quickly sterilized the area, tapped for a vein, and injected the sedative.::

It didn't take long for it to take effect, and as she fell asleep, the weather outside cleared. Clouds thinned, the hail and rain vanished, and blue sky showed through what small clouds did remain.

::Xavier set the disassembled the syringe and placed it in a medical waste bag, which he packed back into his medical bag. He also took her morphine, as he did not want the temptation for two strong painkillers. Finally, he took the briefcase with the documentation, and left her room, to allow her to sleep. For his part, he would have to work with Henry.::
