Lorna Dane
Alias: None
Height: 5'6”
Weight: 125 Ibs
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Background:
Lorna was orphaned almost from birth when her parents died in a plane crash. She was adopted soon afterwards by Richard and Zala Dane, and they are the only parents she's known for her entire life. Lorna has no brothers or sisters that she is aware of, and until the age of 16, she grew up as a normal human child in a small town in Massachusetts.
After the mutant phenomenon began to show on the world scene, and concerned for their daughters health after various news reports surfaced about sudden power development with disastrous results, Lorna's parents chose to have her tested for the mutant gene, though she'd never exhibited any powers before. Lorna's test came back positive, but despite this, the gene has so far never manifested itself. She is known as a Class Zero, a human who reads as a mutant but has no powers to speak of.
Though Lorna's parents kept the results mostly to themselves, they confided in friends who, unbeknownst to them, were strongly anti-mutant. The damage was done. Lorna's parents were forced from their home by their landlord, and Lorna was kicked out of the private school she'd been attending. After hearing about the Xavier Institute, the Danes chose to move to Westchester and enroll their daughter in Xavier's school.
Personality:
Lorna is generally a timid but nice person, but her recent problems with anti-mutant neighbors and friends has soured her a little. She is very friendly but also very touchy about the fact that to her, she is neither human nor mutant, but somewhere in between. She enjoys science and astronomy, and has a secret fondness for romantic movies and novels.
