Kevin arrived to the City Clerk's office a bit earlier than he was supposed to, so he had to wait a few minutes for Brady. He did feel a bit nervous about the whole thing, probably mostly because Brady was so hyper about it (naturally) that he caught some of that as well. Still, it seemed easier than the proposal he'd made some weeks ago.
Absently staring through the floor, he paced slowly back and forth, rewinding things in his mind. It was kind of curious to trace the past half a year of his life back and see how he ended up here, waiting for his bride. One of the most curious things was that there would be no one who'd come to congratulate him. No friends. No family. It didn't bother him much, just was an interesting thing to notice.

Brady had arrived at the City Clerk's office in a simple white dress. It was nothing extravagant, just a simple crisp and clean, casual white dress that came just below the knee. Her hair was up and she looked beautiful and nervous as hell.
She had been so hyper and excited about the wedding, but now she was feeling nervous and a little queasy. It wasn't that she was having second thoughts, of course she wasn't, but all brides to be were supposed to feel this way. Right? Plus, she was pregnant so that must have had something to do with her feelings.
She hadn't called her mother and told her because she didn't know what to tell her. And she had tried to get ahold of Charlie, but couldn't. So, she arrived alone.

Morph turned at the sound of her steps, his face lighting up with a smile. "You look beautiful," he said instead of a greeting and held out his hand to her - he was holding a bouquet of white eustomas. "I brought this... though you might need it," he added, still beaming.

A smile came to her lips and she took the flowers and blushed softly at his compliment, "They're beautiful...thank you," She told him and her smile grew slightly. Looking into his eyes, her nerves calmed a little. But, she still looked like a nervous, blushing bride.

Kevin noticed she was nervous. "Come on," he said with encouragement, taking Brady by the hand. "Everything is fine."
He wondered why she was alone, too; he had expected at least Charlie to arrive, but decided not to bother Brady with questions about that at the moment.
The door of the office opened, and they were invited inside by the Clerk's assistant.

Once they were invited in, Brady couldn't help the grin that was on her lips. This was really happening. She was really getting married and to the man she loved. The man who's child she was carrying. She stifled a small giggle and just kept grinning.

Such tiny wedding ceremonies with no guests present were not uncommon at this office, so the Clerk didn't act surprised. Instead, he welcomed both young people to the occasion and, laying out the papers for them to sign, made a small speech about the significance of their action for the future and blah-blah-blah. Kevin wasn't really paying much attention. All that mattered was Brady and the rest was horribly insignificant.

Brady tried listening to the Clerk and nodded at all the right times, but her attention was else where as she kept stealing glances at Kevin. When it came time to sign the papers, she did so. Scrawling out her name in her well-defined script. She would no longer be a DeLuc, but a Sydney. Brady Marie Sydney to be exact and she couldn't be happier.

Kevin, in his turn, signed the papers, and for some reason it at once brought him relief that everything in this respect was done and taken care of. One worry less. With his abilities, documents of most sorts had always been a kind of a pet peeve of his.
He put a ring on Brady's hand, this time officially.

Brady grinned as the ring was slipped onto her finger and she put Kevin's wedding band on his hand. It was official. They were married.

Interesting how the traditions remained - even here, with no witnesses, getting married in a strictly official way, they were still invited to kiss one another after the marriage registration procedure was finished. Morph almost chuckled; that was the part he had been looking forward to most of all. Leaning over to Brady, he kissed her, feeling slightly weird that she was his wife now.

Brady smiled softly as she kissed Kevin back, her hand coming up and lightly caressing the side of his face. She was his wife, now. Wife. She never thought she's be a wife, or if she had it would have been years from now. But in all truths she couldn't be happier to be Kevin's wife.

The Clerk's assistant shot a picture of them, and finally the small ceremony was over. Kevin took the documents, thanked the Clerk, and he and Brady left the office.
