Elias was a good observer. No professional in that area surely, but he knew human behaviour well enough to be able to tell that Odin´s answer was a reluctant one. He was secretive and Golem was not sure whether he had overstepped a boundary. He drank some more coffee and his body language stayed relaxed when he gave the other man a longer look. "Sorry man, I didn´t want to be prying." he said.

::Odin waved off the other man's apology with a gesture. It was his own mistake, not yet knowing the full limitations of his artificial Achilles' heel. It wasn't as though he had the personal connections to test himself with someone he trusted, which left him with unchartered territory, not his preference for his life. Moreover, being unable to hide behind his games left him feeling far more vulnerable than he liked. He'd learn, and the next time, his hesitation wouldn't be noticeable, or wouldn't come at all.:: "Don't worry about it; it's fine."

Elias nodded, watching the other man in a relaxed and non-intrusive manner. As usual, his curious nature prompted him to guess for the reasons that led to the other man´s close up behaviour. Another might have shrugged it of and so die Golem, yet, his curiosity, a general, no-backgrounds-to-it curiosity that was part of himself just as much as his mutation was. He acknowledged Odin´s words with a brief nod, before taking a pause and a sip from his coffee. "Interesting city, New York", she said, leaving no doubts about a change of topic. "I´m still settling down."

::Talk of travels was a more comfortable subject for Odin and he nodded, a small smirk on his lips at his memories of Manhattan.:: "It's one of a kind."

Golem chuckled lightly, his hand travelling to the pocket of his worn jeans jacket, a gesture he often did for various reason. Now, because he was feeling at ease. His fingers started to play with the three or four pebbles he usually get in there, warming them with his powers. "I´m still trying to figure out what kind." he said.

"It isn't sinister," ::Odin provided, easing his own posture as the conversation began to relax him. He reserved that impression for smaller towns, places where there was no variety in the population, and mutants were unwelcome everywhere.:: "It's more a place where you can blend in, or stick out, as much as you desire."

"That would depend on a mood then I´d say." Elias replied, his fingers heating the pebbles a little more to let them casually roll between his fingertips. "Right now I´d be content to blend in with the crowd but stand out enough to find something to earn a living."

::Odin's eyes were drawn to the pebbles in Golem's fingers, as he heated them, playing with them. Comfort, Odin surmised; the other man took comfort in it.:: "There are jobs all over, depending on the work you seek. With your skills, I'm sure you'll find one easily enough."

Elias gave a shrug. "I guess so." he said, putting the small stones back into his pocket, leaving only one outside, giving it a half thoughtful look. "I only didn´t decide yet what it is I want to do. Wouldn´t necessary have to be something where my powers come in."

::Odin considered the other man's statement briefly; it was time to pose a question that would give him great insight into how the other man thought. It was the type of question he enjoyed, because the more insight he had, the more upper-hand, the better.:: "If you could have your choice of jobs, what would you do with yourself?"

Elias tilted back his head slightly as he tended to do when sitting somewhere in a relaxed manner, giving the ceiling a look. There were some cracks in the stone tiles, he always noticed details like that. "Something where travelling plays a role." he said. "in whatever form. I´m pretty flexible there."

::There was a man who took after Odin's own preferences, always moving, living out of a suitcase. He also noticed that he'd managed to only give a half-answer.:: "Given you could travel, then."

Golem gave half a smirk at the other man´s reply. "I´d like to see someone trying to keep my from that." he said. He liked moving around a lot, sometimes not knowing where he´d end up the other day. He had been like this ever since he had been a teenager, maye a restlessness that resulted from the feeling of having lost his roots, he didn´t know, and also, didn´t care too much. Home was where he liked to be at that moment.

::Once more, Odin had the thought that this man was a man after his own heart, with the urge to travel instilled deep within him.:: "So it doesn't matter, as long as you can travel?"

Elias shrugged, but nodded at the same time. "Basically, yes." he said. "I never know how long I´m gonna stay once I arrive. Even though this place seems interesting enough to make it a time." He had rented a flat which was something he didn´t do too often. Usually he stayed at hotels, not too luxurious most of them. Renting a flat meant that this city had captured his curiosity strongly enough to make it his object of exploration, at least for a time. He´d see what came of it.
