Ty got in carefully but quickly, finding a spot on the floor next to her feet for her no-longer-needed flat shoes, and sweeping her skirt out of the way.

Ty was tempted to question him about how far it was, all the meaningless questions that would sate her curiousity but spoil the effect of whatever he wanted to show her. Instead, she simply said "Having a night out comes as a relief."

"Not hard, just..." She reached for the right words. "I don't go outside the Mansion grounds that often on my own. I don't know if it's just that I'm used to protecting my territory, or prefer mutants to having to deal with humans, I just don't leave often. Between learning to control a new power and ducking the drama around there..." she shook her head. "It's more stress then it should be."

She smiled. "Thank you." Leaning back into her seat, she watched buildings go by, content with his presence and companionable quiet.

::Pietro smiled a small smile into the rearview mirror, before continuing on their way. He took as many side streets as possible, to avoid the heaviest of congestion. When they finally arrived...it was a building, near Union Square Park. A building with little to distinguish it from others.::

Ty emerged quickly and stepped onto the sidewalk, deciding in advance to see if she could create a small lightshow of her own once they got up to where they could see the city. Her smile turned a little mischievious.
