She struck again as she noticed with grim satisfaction, her adrenaline level so high that she felt like in a heated rage not directed against him, but just venting the anger that had built up earlier. She was getting tired and her arm hurt and only the fact that another blow was too badly aimed to have an effect and made her stumble, combined with a somewhat quick reaction made her avoid Gambit´s blow, letting the glove pass by her cheek with some force, a clear and unpleasant warning of what it could have looked like, but not finding its aim.
It got her off balance and she nearly fell, stopping her fall with her hands and knees. Her breath was quick, her heart racing. "I give up." she panted, trying to catch her breath, cowering on her hands and knees. She wouldn´t stand a chance against Gambit she knew, she had vented her anger and shown she was capable of fighting back and she couldn´t have wished for more.

The spectators around the room applauded Shade, commending on how long she'd stood against Gambit - quite obviously, he was a difficult opponent for her. Gambit glanced at them, giving a wink while he took one of his gloves off, then offered her his hand to help her get up. "A wise decision," he said. "Dunno where I woulda stopped."

Shade let him help her up, taking off her gloves as she got back to her feet. She felt worn out and tired and she had gotten a more than fair share of punches and blows that were very likely to result in a number of black and blue marks. Still, she had delivered good punches several times and even though she knew Gambit had held back strength, she felt kind of accomplished. "Yeah." she said with half a grin, still too exhausted to manage more. "Still.... that was good."

"D'accord," Gambit nodded, putting one arm still with a glove on over her shoulders as they walked towards the edge of the ring, "feelin' better now?"

Shade nodded with a lopsided smile. "Totally." she said. Now that the adrenaline rush was retreating, her muscles were starting to hurt as well as the spots where Gambit had beaten her. She didn´t get whiny about it, whyever should she? She had needed a proper ruffle and gotten one. "I feel like I´ve run against a wall at full speed several times, but heck, I needed something like that. Thanks." It suddenly struck her how weird it had to sound for some others to hear someone say basically something along the lines of ´Thanks for beating me up, darling.´ but she just chuckled inwardly and didn´t mind.

"Any time," Gambit grinned. He hopped off the ring. The match didn't pass completely unnoticed for his body, either, although he was certain that, all in all, Shade received a worse beating than he did, plus his body was fairly used to physical damage.
He held his hand up for her again so that she could jump off the ring. "Shootin' range, drag racin', bear huntin', or a kindergarten?" he suggested, enumerating other possibilities for physically demanding leisure activities.

Shade chuckled and followed him. "I´d like shooting range." she said with a smirk. "even though I guess you´d beat me in that too." She took a moment to stretch and flex her limbs, noticing that, yes, they hurt. "Just give me a two minutes break maybe and then I´ll be up for more mischief."

"I'd beat ya, hands down," Gambit agreed, "but it ain't de point, right?" he winked, taking off his second glove. He was sweating slightly, but it usually took a much more intensive workout session for him than that to sweat properly.

Shade smiled. "No, it isn´t." she agreed. "well, I hope you´ll at least have some little bruise somewhere after that. It´d make me feel accomplished." She flashed him a grin and walked over to a bench to get herself some water.

Shade laughed. "Aw come on." she protested jokingly, throwing up her arms. "does that mean all my efforts gone to waste? Not a single punch that really hurt?"

"Mais non, it did," Gambit said. Suddenly he pretended to double in pain, clutching his chest. "Ugh, I missed a few blocks!.. M' pride is really hurt... Dieu, non!"

Shade put the bottle down and narrowed her eyes at him in feigned aggravation. "Oh, you just wait till we get home, cheek." she said clicking her tongue in a parody of someone really dangerous and threatening.

"Can't wait," Gambit said, not even bothering to crack any jokes about what awaited him in that case.

Shade stuck out her tongue at him and took another swig from her bottle. Gazing over at him - which she couldn´t keep herself from doing since he was half naked of course - she noticed that as had to be expected their fighting had exhausted her far more than him. Gambit was barely sweating whereas she felt she was in need for some refreshment. "I need a shower." she stated, tossing a look around to see where the washing rooms were.
